"Aomori? Why Aomori?" It was early in the morning and you, Rin, and Yukio were in Mephisto's office after being woken up by the sudden call. You all had a rough idea of what this was about and that thing was Shura Kirigakure. "Don't you know?" Mephisto says with his head resting on his hand. "Miss Kirigakure is from Aomori prefecture. Besides, the last time we confirmed her location via the GPS in her cell phone, she was in Aomori. She's missed two days of work and she may be in trouble. She's good with a demon sword but I'm still worried." You nod at the demon's words as you look up at Yukio who seemed annoyed.
"Does Rin really have to come? I'm sure Y/N and I could easily do this ourselves, and besides, I don't want to be dragging around my brother." The boy seemed confident in his words as Rin flared up in anger "hay stop trying to ditch me!" Mephisto gives Yukio a cold glare which makes the exorcist shiver "Don't argue, this is an order. And according to one of my sources you have been engaging in some...dangerous training." Yukio's body goes tense as the blood leaves his cheeks Rin was about to question him but Mephisto's interrupted. "Training itself is not the problem, but do not endanger your life, overwork is the poison of the body. Now off you go and good luck!"
"Have you seen this girl?" Yukio asks as he shows a random boy walking down the street a photo of the missing Shura Kirigakure. The boy shook his head leaving Yukio frustrated. "Jeez, we've got nothing." The boy mumbles as he hears his name being called "Yukio! Yukio! We found something!" You and Rin ran up to Yukio out of breath. "A driver took her down to Lake Towada and offered to take us there!" Yukio smiles happily at the progress.
Once the three of you got to lake Towada you stepped out of the car, thanked the driver, and walked away. "Everything is closed..." you mumble the two boys nod as Yukio checks his watch "it's 4:pm and it's starting to get dark. We should find a place to stay." You all walked through the snow and soon found an Inn. You walk inside and was met by an old lady.
"Will you be checking in?" She asks, you nod "do you have a room for three?" The lady smiles and leads you three down the hall. "Will this room be alright?" The lady asks showing you the room "yup this is fine thank you." You put your things down as Rin runs to the window looking at the view. "We have a public bath but we also have a private bath you can hire." Yukio looks at the woman confused "private?" He asks, "yes, that way you don't have to worry about what the other guests will think." The woman smirks and eyes down you and Yukio.
Your face turns red, as you realize what the women met. "N-no no! You don't understand w-we just need to get to work." Yukio was also flustered trying his hardest not to get mad "yeah yeah work, you three enjoy yourself's however you-" "NO- NO YOU DONT UNDERSTAND." Yukio yells as the woman leaves, leaving you and Yukio a flustered mess as Rin couldn't stop laughing.
It was about an hour later, the three of you were trying to relax knowing that you would be busy. Yukio and Rin were having a bath while you explored the Inn a little more. You walked back into your room to see Yukio frustrated. You look down to see that you and Yukio's beds were put together as Rin's was on the other side of the room. You chuckle slightly as you move your bed closer to the wall.
Rin still wasn't out of the bath leaving you and Yukio alone. "Y/N can I talk to you?" You turn to look at Yukio who's face was red in anger, he looked furious. "Y-yes of course." He slowly stepped closer to you as he clenches his fist. "Did you tell Mephisto about my training?" He grits his teeth making you step back. "No of course not you know I wouldn't tell anyone." He shakes his head. "Are you sure? Because I know you have your own secrets Y/N! A-and I don't want you to lie to me got that?" He gets closer to you his anger truly showing now. You nod "y-yes Yukio." You looked terrified which seemed to snap something inside of him. His eyes turn wide as he steps away. "I-I'm-"
"Hey lovebirds! What are you two doing?" Rin bursts into the room making Yukio back away from you even more. "N-nothing, it's nothing Rin. I-I'm um gonna sleep now goodnight you two!" With that, you quickly get into your bed leaving Yukio lost for words. "I'm gonna sleep too."
The next morning as you woke up you see Yukio taking a few things out of his bag "morning!" You say with a smile catching him off guard "m-morning." He looked away from you embarrassed "hay I'm sorry for last night." You get up and place a hand on His shoulder "don't mention it! I get it the last couple of months have been rough for you but remember you can rely on me Yukio." He nods giving you a fake smile. As Rin woke up you take your hand off of Yukio and place it on Your hip. You give Yukio a smile as you look over at the half-asleep Rin.
"Let's get ready and get to work shall we?"
For those who haven't read the manga this is definitely the funniest arc in my opinion, the misunderstanding between Yukio, Y/N and the old lady was originally between Yukio and Rin but I thought it would be funnier if the reader was involved in it.
