Let me in! ( Yukio x reader )

Chapter 13. The Truth part 1

"God this sucks..." you mumble as you walk through the halls of Shima's brother Juzo's wedding. If you were being completely honest you hated it there, you didn't know anyone except for Yukio and the cram school kids who all had somehow disappeared. And, you had to dress up all fancy which wasn't your style.

You were tired, you are still trying to keep track of what Lightning was doing. He was getting too close to the truth of the academy but you didn't know how to prove it. The constant thought of Yukio or anyone reaching these secrets was now burned into your mind.

Yukio was also tired, working with a broken arm wasn't easy and you out of all people knew about the constant struggles the poor boy went through. Sometimes you wish you could just tell him the truth thinking that it would help but that was all a fake fantasy.

You slowly broke away from your daydreaming when you saw two people standing in the hall, as you got closer you saw who it was. Your eyes widened as you saw Yukio pin Suguro to the wall pointing a gun at him.

Your heart began to pound as you ran up to the two boys, you pulled Yukio off of Suguro and ripped the gun out of his hand. "What are you doing?!" You scream "he knows the truth Y/N! I know he does!" He lashes at you making your cheeks turn red in anger "listen to yourself Yukio! You were about to shoot your very own student, a friend! for some truth you don't even know exists!"

"I do know it exists Y/N! You're my partner, why don't you want what's best for me!" "This isn't what's best for you Yukio! Please trust me. The truth will hurt you more than helping you!" Yukio goes silent, he gives you one last glare before walking away.

You turn around to see Suguro, his heart was pounding like life just flashed before his eyes. "Are you okay?" You ask picking up Yukio's gun and putting it in the gun holster that you hid on your leg. "I-I'm fine, it's my fault anyway." You shake your head giving him a little smile "don't worry about Yukio okay? I'm sure he'll settle down and if he doesn't I'll beat some sense into him" you fake a laugh trying to lighten the mood.

Three days later you were walking to one of the True Cross headquarters about to meet up with Yukio to go get some food. The air was cold but you didn't mind it, the quiet sound of the wind blowing through the trees calmed you. That of course was until he showed up.

There he was in all his glory, Lewin Light was standing before you. He was cocky, his smirk made you mad. "What do you want lightning?" You try to walk away but his gaze stopped you. "Oh nothing much, but hey didn't your partner hold my apprentice at gunpoint? Why are you still trying to be some sort of saint Y/N you have been lying to him more than anyone else. And besides, you can't help someone who doesn't want help. But hay it doesn't matter I've shown him the truth now so it's over..."

"You did what?!" You turn to lightning who looked proud of himself. Your heart was pounding and your mind became fuzzy. You lash out grabbing lighting by the collar of his shirt. "What did you show him?!" You scream but the man doesn't flinch "everything..." he whispers.

You let him go as your arms became weak. He knew everything now. The experiments, the clones everything was now in the hands of Yukio Okumura, you had failed.

You turn around and begun to run, run to the headquarters hoping to catch Yukio before he did anything reckless. Once you got to the headquarters you saw Yukio standing outside with a laptop in his hands, you watched as he slammed the laptop against a tree breaking it into two.

Before you could say or do anything Yukio saw you, he burst into anger walking up to you and slamming you against a tree. "You knew, didn't you! Why would you lie to me Y/N I thought I could trust you!" Your body was frozen in fear as tears began to arise "I didn't have a choice Y-Yukio that's what I was hired to do." The boy violently shook as he thought about what to say next "hired to do? You were hired to lie to me?! You said we were friends! But if we were why would you keep this away from me?!"

You didn't know what to say. you were scared, scared of what he would do next. He pushed you to the ground and stared at your shaken body "you're just a lying scumbag I can't believe I trusted you, or anyone for that matter." You watched as Yukio ran off.

You quickly stand up and start to run after him. Hoping and praying that you could get to Yukio before he could hurt anyone or himself.
