Jamie´s view
I simply asked Serena to place her hand in mine. Using my ability to explain is just so much easier than having to explain everything. As she placed her hand in mine there was a surprised and then a concentrated look in her eyes as opened all my channels and let images and information flood into her. She stayed silent as she sorted through the information.
Stars are like the superior knowledge keepers of our worlds and an angel´s best friend. In very old stories angels and stars would fight alongside to keep themselves safe and the world in balance, there used to be a group of angels living in the palace that you could see sparkling in the sky to the left of the sun. The angels would watch over the world from above and the keep that delicate balance between good and evil.
The evil never dared to cross its line because the good was so overwhelmingly strong the evil would burn in its presence.
My father and I would travel to the sky palace a lot to see how things were going and visit my mom. Yes, you guessed it my mom was an angel. The sky palace is kept afloat by a magical crystal situated in the enter of the palace; the crystal itself is powerful that no magical being can touch it without suffering the consequences of magic overload and dying. However, angels are able to channel a part of their magic into the crystal and make the palace gardens bloom with the most beautiful flowers and greenery know to mankind. The palace was covered in ivory inside and out.
One day we came to the palace to see it basically turned into a ruin. The once luscious gardens had withered away and the palace looked like it had been empty for years. All the angles were gone along with their starts and the evil could be seen lurking everywhere, it horrendous. My father and I managed to escape before the evil could take us.
“Who is your father Jamie?”
Sarena broke through my thoughts, reminding me that I still had not told her who I really am.
“This may you surprise Sarena, but my father is the one and only prince Azure.”
“Since I first met price Azure, I had a feeling that you were somehow connected. Let me tell you, I like you father but he is a bit intimidating.”
I chuckled at her reply and pulled her into a hug, gently running my hand up and down her wing. Meanwhile buttercup had decided she was not needed anymore and went back into the necklace. I reached over grabbed the necklace and secured back into place around Sarena´s neck.
“Can we go to the sky castle?”
Sarena´s voice rang out through the complete and utter silence, startling me a little.
“What? Yeah, course if that is what you want to do we can go first thing tomorrow morning. It will give some training and help you to understand your new powers. “
“Jamie, how are you going to get up there? Don´t tell me you are going to ride a bird!”
Sarena sat up with a joyful sparkle in her eyes. I sent her a genuine smile and let my hand run the ark of her wing, making her shiver in joy.
“Oh Sarena, let me show you how I am going to get up there.”
Swiftly, I got up from the bed, positing myself in her line of view. She was eyeing me curiously. I just stared back, a smirk playing in my eyes. The new moment her expression went from curious to shock to complete surprise.
“Oh my god! You have wings too! How is this possible?”
“Remember that my mom is an angel? I have her blood flowing through my veins which makes me an half angel. I might not have proper wings like yours , but I can still fly. Also because of the angel blood I have more than one ability. I have incredibly fine hearing, the ability to transmit and change thoughts and the one or other handy trick. We should go to sleep now, it´s going to be a long day.”
I transformed back into my human form and snapped my fingers. Both Sarena and me magically and me changed into a comfortable and sweats. Sarena smiled from ear to ear and let out a sweat laugh at my magic trick. I climbed into bed with her, giving her a kiss on the forehead as she snuggled into my chest and fell asleep. I followed suit a few minutes later.
