Chapter 7 - Closure

I slowly open my eyes, being met with the ceiling of my room. I push myself up with my right arm and pull the bedsheet off my body and rest my legs over the side. I look at where my left arm once was.

I can't believe I lost it again. I was even prepared for Beldia's attack! I can't remember much after I got out of the crater. Only...a voice.

I stand up from my bed and leave my room. I walk downstairs to find no one in the living room or the kitchen.

Must be out.

I search through cabinets in the kitchen in hopes for some medication to soothe the headache I have, but alas, there was none to be found. I go back upstairs and change into my usual gear with a bit of struggle. I look towards my iron shortsword and it looks rundown and rusted.

Guess I should buy another.

I leave the mansion with Eris coins in my satchel. My left arm sleeve flails in the wind as I walk. I eventually arrive in Axel and make my way towards the Blacksmith. I get many stares from some of the villagers but not all.

Did I do something wrong?

I open the door to the shop as the bell rings and I can hear noises coming from the back.

Blacksmith: "Be there in a sec!"

I look around the shop at the weapons.

Now that I think about it, it's been a while since I've been here.

After a couple seconds, the Blacksmith comes in from the back. He then notices that it was me.

Blacksmith: "I heard what you did for the town, really admirable stuff. For that, I'll give you a discount, how's that sound?"

I smile.

"I'd appreciate that."

If I remember correctly, his name was Kreig?

I look at the weapons and end up buying a one-handed war-axe. I place it on the counter.

Kreig: "Just an axe? That'll usually be 5k Eris but for you, it's 2.5k."

I hand him the acquired amount and he gives me a holster and helps me attach it to my belt with the weapon in it. We say our goodbyes and I leave the shop, my stomach rumbling. I make my way over to the guild.

On my way there, I get noticed by a bunch of adventurers who stop me to check on me and congratulate me on the win, making what should've been a short walk, much longer. I enter the guild hall finally as Luna approaches me.

Luna: "It's good to see that you're awake now (Y/N). How are you feeling?"

"So-so. I feel sort of out of it but other than that I'm fine. How long has it been since Beldia's fight?"

Luna: "Almost two weeks."

That's longer than last time.

"...I see. Also, do you know where my party is?"

Luna: "They're on a quest right now up in the mountains to get high-quality bamboo."

"Alright, also—"

My stomach cuts me off by loudly growling which causes Luna to giggle.

Luna: "I'm sure you're hungry. Go have something to eat. Oh before I forget, when you finish eating, come to me and you'll get your reward for defeating Beldia."

"A-Ah...Yes."

I walk away a bit embarrassed and sit at a table. A couple seconds later, a certain staff member rushes over to me.
