Chapter 9 - Destroy The Destroyer!

It's been a week and a bit since I've woken up from the Beldia battle. I'm still waiting on the prosthetic arm but haven't heard anything about it. I walk downstairs into the living room and find all the women of the party in casual clothes on the couch. They seem to be discussing something about going out.

"Morning guys. Do you know where Kazuma is?"

They all say good morning to me.

Aqua: "Good morning! And yeah, he's just outside."

I nod, thanking her and make my way to the front door. I open the door to find Kazuma crouching down and cleaning a gravestone in the garden. I shut the door behind me.

"Good morning big man. Whatcha doin?"

Kazuma: "Just cleaning this gravestone. You see, when we got the mansion, the owner asked to have the gravestone cleaned once a week, so it's my job to do so."

"I see."

I move closer to him.

"Kazuma. Remember a week ago, that talk we had out here about me only telling you my past?"

He turns to me, hand on leg.

Kazuma: "Yeah? What about it?"

"I bought a crystal ball from Wiz a while ago that shows your past in like little picture things. I tried it a week ago and it showed my past that I can't speak of. I said to myself that I wouldn't show anyone for a while, but my mind has changed."

He raises an eyebrow.

"I want to tell you, and the rest of the party."

Kazuma smiles.

Kazuma: "That's good. I was wondering why you were thinking of hiding things from the rest of them. What made you decide that you wouldn't tell anyone for a bit anyway?"

"One of the images showed the faces of my party members when something happened that we got split up. Their faces were terrified and sad and I hadn't realised at the time how they were feeling since I was caught up in combat."

The door opens and all the girls walk out.

Megumin: "Hey you two. Just so you know, the five of us are heading into town to hang out for a bit. You guys watch the house."

"Gotcha."

Kazuma: "Have fun."

They leave the premises of the mansion as Kazuma stands up, finishing cleaning the gravestone.

"Anyway, back on topic. Since the girls are now out, I'll take this opportunity to show you now."

Kazuma: "Alright."

The two of us head inside.

"Stay in the living room. I'll bring the orb down."

I head up to my room and pick up the cushion with the orb on it. I bring it down and place it on the table in the living room.

"Are you ready?"

He seems a bit uneasy but nods. I place my palm on the orb and it brightens up. The same void room thingy happened again, catching Kazuma off-guard.

Kazuma: "Woah!"

The same images from last time appear and he looks to the ones when I was still on Earth.

Kazuma: "Was this you in highschool?"

"Yup. That one was my last day of my second last year of highschool."

He continues to look through the photos and he gets to the first reincarnation. He first looks at the photo of when I met them. He continues to the photo of me dying to the Snow Samurai and he points it out.
