Yerin smiled, turning her head towards the male beside her. They're currently standing on the edge of the cliff, looking at the beautiful scenery in front of them.
Jisung took her to his favorite spot again, he said he needed company. So he picked her up and now they're here, enjoying each other's presence in silence.
"Hey Jisung," she called.
Jisung hummed, still looking at the stars above him.
"Would you leave me for someone prettier?"
This question has been bothering her for quite a while now. She's not usually like this, but ever since Jisung entered her life she started questioning about a lot of things.
Jisung chuckled. "Of yes, definitely."
Yerin lets out a laugh, slapping his shoulder playfully. "Oh please, but seriously would you?"
Jisung turned his head towards her, looking deeply into the eyes he loves the most. Putting his hands inside his pocket, he sighed, still wondering why she's still asking about that when he thought the answer was already obvious.
"As if there's anyone prettier in this world than you."
His words were simple, but it's enough to make her flustered. Yerin looked away, making him grin at her. Jisung turned his head away from her again, looking at the city in front of him.
Yerin wanted to hold his hand, but she's too nervous to do that. She's just looking at his hand, doubting whether if she should just directly grab it or not. Jisung somehow noticed that, so he turned towards her again, raising an eyebrow at her.
"What?" Yerin asked, looking anywhere but him.
Jisung playfully rolled her eyes, intertwining their hands together. "If you want to hold my hand just say it, love. I'm not going to bite,"
Yerin chuckled nervously, rubbing the back of her head. His words are simple yet they managed to flutter her every single time.
"Yerin, no matter what happens, please don't leave me." He said, looking into her eyes again.
He didn't want to sound like he's begging for her to stay with him, especially because his life's a mess. But at the same time he didn't want her to leave him, not again.
A smile curved up on her pretty face, nodding her head softly. "Don't worry, I won't."
Jisung smiled back at her, feeling relieved by her answer. She's the person that made him feel love, losing her would be the last thing he ever wanted.
"Thank you. Because I can't imagine living in a world without a star, without a light."
Even in those nights where there's not a single starlight can be found or those days where the darkness filled up the sky, she'll always be his star and his light.
So now, he's going to protect her. No matter what it takes, because she made him realize that no matter how important revenge is, there can be times where love goes beyond that.

"Yerin I told you, you can't come with me today."
Yerin pouted, holding onto her hand tightly. "Why can't I come with you?"
"My parents are home, remember? They don't like me having my friends over."
"But I already told my driver to go, I guess you have no choice but to let me come with you." Yerin said, smiling as she lets go of her hand.
Chaeyoung chuckled, shaking her head at her friend's behaviour. "Fine, where's Ryujin though?"
"She's having a family dinner tonight. Now let's go!"
The two smiled as they walked into her car, not knowing what chaos was ahead of them. Her driver seemed taken aback to see Yerin entering the car, his eyes shaking in fear.
"You're taking her home, miss?" He asked.
Chaeyoung nods, taking her phone from her bag. "Yeah, why?"
"But your parents are home, you know how they are."
Chaeyoung took a quick glance towards Yerin before shrugging. "It's fine."
The man gulped, nodding his head before starting the engene. His hands are shaking and he constantly glanced at the rearview mirror, looking at the two girls sitting on the back seat.
The ride was smooth, until all of the sudden the car speeds up, causing the two to look at the driver with a questioning look. The red light's right in front of them and the car's not stopping, even when he tried to hit the break.
Without even noticing, with a loud crack, the car crashed with a truck, causing it to turn upside down, getting dragged accross the road. When it finally stopped, Yerin tried her best to open her eyes, feeling a sharp pain in her left knee. "Chaeyoung,"
She could feel her pulse getting quicker as she felt a thick substance dripping from her head. She turned her head to her side, seeing her friend's bloody body next to her.
The truck hits the car from the left side, that's where Chaeyoung was sitting. Yerin tried her best to open her seatbelt, her body falling to the ground as she was hanging upside down earlier. She groaned in pain, looking at the blinding lights from the broken window next to her.
She reached out her hand, "h-help."
Her visions began to blur even more and then it all went black.
The next thing she knew is that she woke up in the hospital 3 days later with a dislocated knee. She blamed herself for surviving, for being alive. But it's not her fault, it never was.
It was indeed an accident, a non-accidental accident.
As her brother said, he'll make her death look like an accident. He managed to do that.
oof he's one crazy guy
