Pain.

That's the only thing that she could feel right now.

Yerin winced in pain, holding her knee with the both of her hands. The car had rolled over a few times before finally hitting a building. She was lucky to be alive, although she didn't know how long she would stay conscious.

All she could feel is the sharp pain on her left knee, the rest of her body felt numb. She shakily opened her seatbelt, making her body fall to the ground as the car was upside down. She looked to her right, spotting her friend next to her, already unconscious.

"C-Chae?" She called her best friend with a shaky voice.

No reply.

She started to get worried as soon as she saw the blood dripping from her head. Yerin groaned as she tried to use the strength she had left, opening the door. She managed to get out of the car but she couldn't stand up, the pain on her left knee was too unbearable.

People started to gather around her, the incident was indeed a big one. She heard the faint sound of a siren, but before she could even realized, she fell unsconcious.

The next thing she knew is she woke up in the hospital a day after the incident. Apparently her kneecaps cot dislocated, but it's not that serious- despite the fact that she probably can't walk for at least 6 weeks.

Chaeyoung, her best friend who was in the car with her on the other hand, well things didn't really go well for her. She's in a coma, and the chances are even if she wakes up, she would probably be paralyzed.

Yerin felt really guilty about that. She unrolled from her school right after the incident. About 3 months after that she returned to the school, shocking everyone as they never heard a single thing from her.

She could walk properly again, although she can't really do ay serious activity that involves her left leg. She can't even run without feeling a sharp pain on her knee.

As for Chaeyoung, everyone thinks she's already dead. But the truth is, she's not. She's still unconscious, in the hospital, in a deep coma. Yerin's family helped her by paying the hospital insurance because she had no family left.

The reason of the accident is still unknown. The accident was filled with many paradox, including some proof about why it's actually not an accident, but a planned murder. But they never knew who was behind it all, even until now.

Until this day, three years after the incident, Yerin feels the same way about her.

Convicted.

"What's wrong? Why are you so quiet today?"

Yerin turned her head towards her friend, shaking her head lightly. Today is probably the worst day ever for her. First of all it's Monday, the worst day of the week. Second, there's this family dinner thing she needs to attend tonight. Third, it's the day she got her accident three years ago.

Yerin shook her head. She noticed that Jisung had been under the weather too. She can't really pin point of why he acted like that, ever since he saw the new girl yesterday he didn't even bother to say a word to her.

Yes, they're not that close but still she pesters him everyday he would at least say a remark about it. But she doesn't want to bother him about that, she's not in the mood anyways. Thank god school is already over.

Ryujin sighs, pitying how the girl felt about the whole incident. "It's been three years, Yerin."

Yerin nods, she knows that it's not her fault. But she was in there with her and she survived. She felt guilty for getting out of it alive. They used to be best friends, the three of them. "I know. I should've been me Ryujin if it wasn't for her I—"

"Don't say that. It's not your fault and you know that."

Yerin sighs, nodding her head.

It's not her fault, right?

Yerin stared at her own reflection in the mirror. She's wearing a black designer's dress picked up by her beloved mother, along with a pair of black silk gloves and black heels. Her hair is curled up into flowy curls and she puts on just the right amount of makeup on her beautiful face.

"You look good, sister." Yeonjun complemented, fixing the tie on his neck. Yerin smiled, muttering a soft 'thank you' before walking towards her purse, putting her makeup and phone inside.

"I heard he has a son." Beomgyu said

Soobin frowned. "Really?"

"Yeah, I heard father talking about it. He said he's about our age."

"Oh my, look at my gorgeous children. You look beautiful darling, you too boys. Okay come on, we're going to be late." Her mother said as she abruptly grabbed her Gucci purse, leading her children towards the car. Her father and their driver are already waiting in ther limo.

The driver opened the door for them and they all stepped inside, driving towards one of the most luxurious restaurants in Seoul.

Once they arrived, they immediately entered the building, walking towards the reserved table. Her father's eye lits up as soon as he saw his old friend. "Jiwoon, nice meeting you."

"Welcome, Seojun." The man said, giving him a warm smile.

She was about to take a seat at the table but something grabbed Yerin's attention- more like someone. Her eyes immediately widen as soon as she made eye contact with him.

The boy sitting on the table, it's Park Jisung.
