Yerin ate her food nervously. She's having a family dinner with her parents and her brothers. They rarely do this anymore because her parents are super busy, working for a company abroad.

She missed her parents, especially her mother. She used to look out for her so much before she was this busy. While her father, he has always been distant. He's always the one controlling her just like whatever he wants. But she's glad to have a loving mother at least.

"I heard you have a new friend, Yerin. Is that true?" Her mother asked

Yerin's frowned, not remembering about having a 'new friend'. "I do?"

"Beomgyu told be you brought your friend over a few times before. I'm glad you did, you're finally socializing."

Yerin knew who her mother meant by that. Fortunately Beomgyu didn't told her that the person he meant was a boy- Park Jisung. Yerin glared at her brother, making him chuckle. He just can't keep his mouth shut.

"We're having a dinner with my old friend tomorrow night." His father informed, not even bothering to look at his children. Soobin turned his head towards his dad, sending him a confused look. "With who?"

"Park Jiwoon and his family. Dress nicely, we don't want to make a bad impression in front of them."

Their father always bring his children and wife to important family dinners like this. It's important for his carrier and his social status. Yerin always hated this kind of stuffs, but she can't to anything about it.

If his father wants her to do it, then she has to do it.

"You won't believe me when I told you this," Ryujin said frantically as she ran towards Yerin's locker. "Jung Mina is friends with the new girl. As in friends, friends."

Yerin scoffed, she somehow expected this to happen. "Pathetic, as always. Making friends with the new girl because she doesn't have any friends."

She was about to comment on her again when suddenly a male figure appeared, making her snatch her book quickly from her locker before muttering a quick 'see you later' to Ryujin as she sprinted towards the guy.

"Sup airhead- woah what's with your face?" Yerin said upon seeing the cuts on his face. Last time she checked, he also somehow had bruises on his whole body. "Go away."

"Oh come on you're such a killjoy."

Jisung rolled his eyes, shutting his locker creating a loud bang. "Fuck off."

Yerin noticed that he's not in the best mood so she didn't want to bother him too much about it. Nevertheless she still followed him anyways. She opened her mouth to speak but she stopped as soon as Mina 'accidentally' crashed her body against her's, making her crash onto Jisung's body.

"Oh my, I'm sorry, Yerinie." Mina said, flashing her a small smile before proceeding to walk away as if nothing happened.

Jisung groaned in pain, pushing Yerin's body away from him. Yerin gave him a confused look, darting her vision towards his hand- holding his lower stomach in pain. She then remembered what happened last night, how that guy was bleeding on his stomach. She just realized that his voice was somehow similar to his, deep and husky. Not to mention all of the bruises and cuts on his face makes everything click together.

She's being skeptical about this but she shrug those thoughts away, now making eye contact with the taller boy. "Are you- okay?"

"Just go away, Choi Yerin."

"Go, now."

That voice rings on her head again, it sounds way to familiar to her. Park Jisung, the boy who hideds everything from the whole world, including his past and his identity.

The whole entire day was a whole torture for Yerin. She got partnered up with none other than Park Jisung for the english task which is making an essay about their experiment. They can choose whatever experiment they want, whether it's a social experiment or a science experiment.

She didn't have any problem partnering up with him, but the thing that annoyed her is that he's not having it at all. He snaps at everything she said, clearly having a terrible day.

"I hate this." He grunted

Yerin rolled her eyes at his remark. "Shut up and decide what experiment we're going to do,"

Jisung shrugged as he continued to doodle random things on his notebook out of boredom. He couldn't stop thinking about what he saw the other day, that familiar face.

"What if we do a social experiment? It's more interesting." Yerin suggested

"Sure."

He didn't really care about his grades, he's smart enough to have good scores without have to study hard for it. Despite the fact that he's the school's troublemaker he still manage to have straight A's on his report card. The onl thing he hates is school project like this, especially when he needs to do it with a partner.

"Alright then we'll figure out the experiment soon. The deadline is in a month anyway."

"Brilliant, working with this dumbass for a whole month." He muttered to himself

"Excuse me? Okay first of all I'm not dumb, second you're—"

"You seriously talk too much."

Jisung sighed, leaning back on his chair. She noticed something wrong from him today. He has always been cold but this time it's different. It's like he's disconnected to his surroundings, even to himself.
