"Where have you been?" His father's stone cold voice pierced though him.

Jisung turned to face him, giving him his usual motone look. "It's none of your business."

His father looked at him in enmity. He's never proud of him, not even once. He never payed any attention to him. Even if he got all perfect scores on his report card or if he's the smartest student in school, he won't even care about him.

To him, his son is just the same mentally ill boy from years ago, even when he's actually doing a lot better now.

"I heard you have a girlfriend."

Jisung stopped, looking at his father with a challenging look. "So what if I do?"

His father chuckled lowly, standing up from the couch to walk towards him.

"She'll leave you again, don't you think so?" He asked, even though it sounded more like a statement than a question.

Jisung has always feared being left alone. His parents changed after the incident, turning into a monster. His friends left him, he has always been alone all his life.

But losing Yerin would mean losing his whole world to him.

He ignored his father, walking back towards his room. He slammed the door shut, roughly throwing his back to the floor before plopping himself on his bed.

At this moment, he just wanted to fade away, just for a moment. Just for a while.

"They did what?" Juyeon slammed his hand on the table, furious after hearing the news.

His friend died.

"They killed him, sir. They also burned his house."

Juyeon poked his inner cheeks using his tongue, his mind clouded with anger. It's not that he's sad about his friend's death because if he was being honest, he didn't even have any feelings. He doesn't care about anyone else but himself.

He chuckled, looking into the screen with sharp eyes. He just realized how alike they are. The way he thinks, the way he acts, everything.

"He's one smart guy. So he accepted the challenge, huh?"

He's not scared of him, he's more scared of losing in a game that doesn't even exist but exists inside his mind. He's scared of losing his pride, especially losing to him.

He was the reason why his life was ruined, losing to him would definitely hurt his pride. The craziest thing he had ever done was killing his sister, he's willing to risk it all to get rid of what's blocking his way.

Now, he's going to do whatever's necessary, even if it means killing the person he's most obsessed with.

"Hey Jeno, have you seen Jisung anywhere?"

Jeno flashed her a smile, shaking his head. "No, I haven't seem him all day long."

Yerin pursed her lips, thinking that he might be skipping classes again. But usally he's never alone, except if something bad happened. "That's weird. Alright thanks."

She took her phone, dialing his phone number. But he didn't pick up, now she's starting to worry about him.

What if he's in danger?

What if something bad happened?

She shook her head, trying to get rid of the negative thoughts inside her head. She walked back to her classroom and to her surprise, he's there. Standing in front of the door, walking out of the classroom.

She ran towards him, stopping him by taking his head. "Oh my god Park Jisung! Where have you been?"

"Why?" He plainly asked.

"I was worried about you idiot, you didn't pick up your phone, and even your friends said they don't know where you are."

"I'm fine." He said, shrugging her hand away from him.

Yerin frowned, he's not usually like this. Something must've happened.

"Are you, okay?" She asked hesitantly.

Jisung averted his gaze away from her, afraid that he might snapped at her any minute now. He sighed, shutting his eyes closed.

Yerin grabbed his hand, dragging him towards the abandoned music room. She knew that's the only place he felt safe here. Closing the door shut behind her, Yerin looked at him, repeating the same question. "Are you okay, Jisung?"

Jisung, still looking away from her, shook his head.

Yerin's eye softened, cupping his face to turn his head to face her. She smiled at him, hoping he'd tell her what's wrong. "What's wrong?"

"It's my father," he started. "He told me you'd leave me, just like everybody else."

"You know I wouldn't. I promised you that, didn't I?"

Jisung nodded, however the pain in his heart was still there. He couldn't get rid of it, no matter how hard he tried to get rid of him those thoughts haunt him at night. It's not because he didn't trust her, but because he got swollen by the fear of losing the person that mattered the most to him.

"I know but—"

"There's no but, Jisung. I'm staying with you, no mater what happens."

Jisung smiled at her, nodding his head. He brought he both of his hands to her waist, bringing her body closer to his as he embraced her into a tight hug. A smile curved on her lips as she wrapped her hands around his body.

"Yerin," he called.

Yerin hummed, lifting her head to look at him.

"Thank you for everything, love."

Love.

Whenever he called her that he always managed to give her butterflies. He's the only one that could do that, only him. Her smile widened, burying her face on his chest again.  As long as they're together, they'll always find happiness. No matter how bad the situation is.

She may be clueless to the danger that awaits for her, for all of them. But he's not, he knew it all.
