Chapter 42:

We have been walking for three hours straight my legs are shaking underneath a beam of sweat is sliding across my face. Looking up at the majestic beast walking all tall and mighty. It's hair moves beautifully by the breeze. It's giant Talon leaves footprints behind her, luckily we haven't walked past any Grimms. Just animals, Deers, bunny, and bears.

They haven't attacked us well especially me. The bear attempted but it was scared off by the Dragon. "How much longer?" She looked down at me then back up at the mountain. The beautiful beast paused for a minute before started to growl lightly. Rolling my eyes at it, it's gonna take us weeks till we get to the mountain "why we even going there, Do you have babies?" Yanie shook her head no but she stares at me for a little while then look away.

Maybe she was checking how I was doing or wanting to say something but couldn't. "Your mate?" Again it shook its head no is she the last of her kind? She must be, we haven't seen any dragons since two hundred years which got me thinking how did she survive that long? Shouldn't she be dead by now, or very old. Looking back up at the creature scanning for any gray hair. But there's not even one gray hair on her.

"Why we have to go there" Yanie rumble on with a light and gentle growl. "I still can't understand you" Yanie looks down at me then look back up at the mountain. "Bell- Bell- Belladonna you t-there?" All of a sudden my radio started to act up, buzzing by the low signal. Yanie curiously looked at me wondering who's calling me. Quickly I turn off the radio not knowing how she would react to it. "May I go wash off over by that river?" She took a moment before letting me off. Running towards the river, splashing some water into my face making The dragon believe what I was doing.

I can feel her Lilac eyes staring at me making me uncomfortable. Her eyes never left, it stayed for a long while before she heard something or got bored and looked away. Reaching in grabbing the radio turning it on "hello?" Whispering I'm hoping someone will hear me. "Belladonna is that you?" Relief went through me now that I can escape this place. "Yeah it's me"

"Where are you?" Looking around hoping to see a familiar tree, mountain anything I can tell them. "Do you know the huge mountain on the north?" "Yeah with all the snow" looking behind me checking Yanie is not looking or eavesdropping. But she's gone just footprints that goes in the woods. "Okay Adam is sending our men over there right now just sit put" I wish I could but that's not my decision. "I will try"

A loud growl was made behind me startling me. Yanie comes back with deers on her mouth "I have to go" turning off the radio before running towards her. Yanie drops one deer in front of me then eat the rest of the deers. "Thank you" Yanie gives me a grin showing me it's long sharp teeth that are filled with blood. She opens her mouth I was expecting her to start rumble about things again. But I was surprised when she blows a huge fire at the deer cooking it for me. Almost burning me. "Hey hey hey!" Jumping out of the way of the flames not wanting to be burned alive.

Yanie realized what she did that's when the Rumble started like she is apologizing none stop. Where the deer body used to be is all burned and crips. The grass still on fire as well as some part of the deer. Does the dragon know how to control her flames? Maybe she forgot how to, but that's impossible "I'm fine it's okay" standing up, dusting some snow off me. Yanie didn't stop but at least she cut off the fire that was dancing on the deer and around it. Pulling out what's the left of my Katana and use it to cut the deer open. "It's fine look there's some good meat left" showing the dragon the inside of the deer wanting her to calm down.

Yanie shut up and sit down all guard up keeping a watch if any Grim attacks us. While I eat my almost burn dinner, hoping Emilia come and get me not Adam. From what I have seen the majestic creature sitting beside me. Is not a vicious one that people say. Well, she did kill and injured almost all my men just to get to me. Which got me thinking about why the dragon wants me in the first place? I can't deny that I feel some bond with the dragon. Looking up at her just in time when Yanie looks down, She opens her mouth like smiling down at me making me let out a small giggle. Which leads the dragon to smile bigger. It reminded me of someone, someone very dear to me. Yanie senses the swish of mood she moves her long tail and places it around me. Like her way of hugging me tight,

Damn it "I'm done let's go" the dragon got up and took the lead. Do I cancel the backup? No, I need to get out of this deadly place and away from the dragon. We walked for more hours till the sun decided to go down. "We need to camp," Yanie thought for a moment before agreeing to it. She took a spot and burn the snow off and some grass. Then looked at me pat the warm ground signaling to come here.

Walking towards her laying my whole body on now very warm grass. Letting the heat consumed me, Yanie circles around me before. Wrapping it's tail making a cage for me not to escape. Taking a deep breath before speaking "where have you been hiding?" Yanie pause for a second before answering me. Well, I think she is but at this rate, I'm just gonna guess some of her words.

"Have you been running for the rest of your life?" she moves her head side by side like saying maybe or 'something like that' "were you scared that some humans are gonna kill you?" she signs laying her head down. She didn't say anything to that so I expect we go to sleep now.
