Chapter 24: River

Yang P O V

Shit shit shit shit what are we gonna do? "Turn around" the mysteries person commanded us slowly not wanted to trigger them if they have any weapons. turn around pulling my arms up in the air. Blake hesitates a little before turning around as well. The imposter scans us looking for any weapons or devices to call people. "What are we gonna do with them?" One of the partner question whispering it's companion. Knowing well this is his first time in this situation or he's new in the job.

"We bring them to our camp maybe our boss could do something to them" one of them walked behind us as the other walking in front leading us to their camp. "Their just two we can take them" I whisper to Blake but she didn't reply. Looking at her seeing she's shaking from fear, fear of something but I can't tell what. "Hey, you okay" softly I nudge her shoulder trying to get her attention.

Blake looked up at me her fear expression disappear to a fake one. "Yeah, I'm fine don't worry" she gives me a smile trying to show me she's fine. Knowing well she's lying but I don't want to push her to tell me especially in this situation. "You two stop talking" the guy behind us shouted pushing me to walk faster. Anger started to get to me as I cling my fist tight not wanting to blast his face into bits as well my hair started to glow light yellow and a bit of red. Blake grabbed my hand trying to calm me down. Taking a deep breath making my hair go back to normal color.

"We're here" we Arrive at a small camp. There are five tents up small ones and one large one probably where the chief work. "I will go warn the boss" the person in front of us ran towards the bigger tent as the other guy led us to somewhere to wait for him. "There's not a lot of people here. We can just go" I whisper to Blake who shook her head no. "We can't what if they have guns and shots you?  I can't take any  chances."

There's a lot of Faunus walking around holding some boxes. I scan my surroundings looking a way to escape. Left there's a big pot and some weapons on the ground probably their kitchen place and training. In the middle that is surrounded by tents is the campfire. And In the far right in the forest, I can see some bones laying on the ground. What looks like humans or animals bones. I'm freaking out thinking they are gonna eat us wouldn't let Blake get into danger. I turn towards the person who is Guarding us and punch him in the face making him fall backward. "Yang what are you doing?" Blake grabbed me pulling me away from the poor guy. "Saving our life's" I picked her up placing her on my shoulder leaving her there. "Yang put me down" Blake order but I ignore running away from the camp.

Some Faunus started to follow us others grabbed some weapons to shot me down. "Yang please listen to me" Blake pleaded moving under my grip. I Tighten my grip on her carefully not wanting to drop her by accident. "Shot her!" A man shouted as I heard him loading his gun, taking an aim. "DUCK!" Blake screamed I can't duck if I do I could hurt Blake by trying. Looking behind me seeing one of the men pointing me the gun. Just as he about to press the trigger I accidentally trip over a hill.

As in progress of falling I quickly removed Blake off my shoulder to my chest shielding her. Then roll all the way down protecting Blake from all the bushes and small sticks, rocks. We landed on a blue cold river that is growling by the amount of rain that is gonna happen in a few days. "Are you okay?" Blake question detaching herself off me. "...yeah I'm fine" looking at her scanning if the bullet hit her on the leg or somewhere. "Come on" slowly getting up feeling the pain around my body from the fall. That's when I heard a huge splash like someone just jump down at the river.

Looking over it looks like a huge man with a huge battle hammer in his hands. Blake got in front of me ready to protect me. The man bangs his hammer on the ground raising a huge rock up then he hit it flowing it towards us. Blake in her fast reflexes she grabbed me from the grounds and rolls us over dodging the huge boulder. Quickly I raise my head up in the surface almost got drown by the river. The water reaches my calves as if you lay on the river you will get drown immediately. The man sends five boulders at us big ones and small ones

Blake easily dodges them, doing all sources of skills and gymnastics moves. I try to dodge them but I'm not fast enough making some of the boulders hit me on the shoulder, leg, and stomach. One hit me on the face making my anger raise up. Seeing one flowing my way I got ready and punch it breaking it into little pieces. There's not a lot of fire as I'm wet as well the rocks.

Looking at Blake as I give her a look signaling her to get ready. I took a deep breath feeling all water dry up from the fire that is appearing around me. The guy took a moment looking at me taking a few steps back. Blake ran towards to him as I punched the water making steam came out by the fire hang around me turning the cold water to hot.

The steam block the man's view as his blind can't not see what we are doing.

Blake P O V

Soon Yang blocked his view by making steams changing the cold water to hot. Taking my changes so I can strike. I ran towards him jumped and kick him at the face then soon disappear into the mist. The man falls to the ground by the unexpected hit then quickly got back to his feet holding close the battle hammer. Knowing he can't see he started to swing aimlessly throwing rocks around swinging his hammer left and right hoping to hit us or at least something.

He's back was at me so I took the opportunity to strike again. This time I hit his leg making him kneel down. Yang ran towards us using one of the boulders on the ground to busted herself up in the air. The flames on her make her look like she has winds as her hair sparkles and moves majestically in the hair. Yang got ready and punches the man on the face with such force that makes the man hits his head to the ground.

Yang got up and ran towards me with a smile on her face proud of herself. "Did you see that?" She questions gesturing what she just did. "Yes I did and it was cool" "Hell yeah it was cool!" Rolling my eyes at how childish she can be but quite cute. The man on the ground slowly got up not wanting to drown by the water. "How he is not knock out?" The man falls back down losing his balance may be having a small concision. "I'm sorry please forgive me wise one. I never meant to hurt you!"

We watch the mean screamed by himself as he asking for forgiveness. "What wrong with him?" Yang point at him looking at me waiting for answers. "Maybe he's illusioning?" Shrugging not know what's going with on with him. Maybe Yang damaged his head? "Well we got to act fast the mist is disappearing," Yang said walking towards to the lunatic. Following her Yang grabbed his hammer that he dropped, throw it at me as I caught, and hits the back of his head knocking him out.

We stare at his body deciding to move to the surface or just let him there to drown. Yang shrugged her shoulder as she turns around to walk away. "Yang we can't just leave him to die," I told her picking his head up letting him breathe the fresh air. "Why? He tries to kill us" Yang said crossing her arms, I give her a look as 'to not argue with me' making her groan in annoy walking towards to me picking up his body.

We...well Yang places him at the surface away from the river. I felt some eyes on me as I look the other way where we fall down the hill only to see him right there standing. The same red hair that hunts me to this day. He was looking down at us holding his sword close to his side. "Let's go" grabbing Yang's arms as we ran the opposite way away from him. We ran jumping over logs in our way. But it was all over as a gun was shooted and Yang fall to the ground next to me
