Chapter 44

"Yanie please get up" at any minute the snakes could spot us. I need to distract them so they wouldn't attack her. Gathering all my energy and power as two black smoke appear next to me. Taking in a human form the smoke slowly disappears revealing my clones. "Go" I commanded them watching both of my clones run-up to the Serpents getting their attention.

One throws a rock at the black snake before running away from us. "Yanie please open your eyes there's not much time" The injured beast slowly opens its eyes staring up at me. "Hey..can you get up?" Yanie growls slowly getting up only to fall back down with a thumb. "You can do it" she struggles a little but stands I try to help her as much as I could despise our height and body differences.

We slowly walked forward to a huge lake "can you swim?" Yanie took a minute before nodding yes. She crouches down letting me get on her "Goo!" A scream got our attention looking back seeing my other clone being eating. "Go go go" Yanie jumping in the lake and started to swim as far she could. The two serpents saw us swimming away they slither to us but stop at where the water reaches. "I think we're safe now," I told Yanie staring at the snakes but realize that we have stopped swimming.

"What's wrong?" Yanie looks up at me then looks deep down underwater. "What you looking?" Glaring down at the water seeing a huge lake creature swimming underneath us. "Don't move I think it's blind...it senses vibration" Yanie slowly started to move not wanting to be here any longer. The serpents see this and jumped into the water slithering their way to us. "You gotta go faster," I tell Yanie seeing she's struggling a little, they are even faster than us damn it this was a bad idea the serpents are splashing the water making them move faster.

I look down at the lake creature seeing it change direction towards the snakes. Then disappear into the deep below the lake. "Well, there goes my hope" whispering hoping Yanie didn't hear it. Pulling out my broken Katana and turning towards the snakes. If they get any close I could stab them getting them not to hurt Yanie. The snake was close enough that if it sticks it's tongue out it could touch us.

Swinging my katana helplessly getting their attention to me. I heard Yanie roar at me telling me to hold on to her. Before I knew it the lake creature came to the surface pushing us out of the way almost drowning us. The lake creature bites one of the snakes taking them too deep below. Yanie and I swim back into the surface as fast as we could. She bites the back of my shirt lifting me placing me down at her back again. The other snake pulled out it's poisonous spike it looked at us then looked down.

Knowing we are not the bigger threat here anymore. Yanie quickly swims to the shore wanting to form as much space from those two creatures. Glaring back where's the snake only to see the lake creature strike again. Flapping it's huge fins Swimming upwards till it breaks to the surface whale-like, catching the snake in its mouth. And drowning it

"Well..isn't that something" a smile spread onto my lips knowing we are safe for now and can rest. Yanie was still a bad shape from the poison in her veins. "How are you feeling?" She snarls at me taking that as bad. "Go rest" patting at her head trying to comfort her. Yanie whines a little looking at me "I will be fine don't worry just rest" Yanie stares at me for a moment before dozing off to a slumber.

"Now..where am I gonna get food big enough for her?" Staring back at the lake seeing fishes and small lake creatures jumping up to the surface and crashing back down. Walking towards the lake hoping to catch a big creature for Yanie. But with a broken rib I can't fight or do too many movements. Glancing around the shore seeing a boat and a fishnet next to it. "Maybe" making my way towards the fishing net checking it out if it's not broken.

"It looks good" picking it up and pulling the strings testing its ropes. "Strong" staring down the Lake seeing a medium lake creature. It's not that big like the one who saved us, it's younger and faster. Placing the Net down making my way to the boat seeing the insides of it. No cracks or broken pieces of the boat hoping it can float. I took more of my energy making another two clones of me appeared.
