I was now alone in his living room going through his video games collection, he seemed to own every single game that was ever released.

You must be asking yourself what the hell was I doing alone in his house, going through his stuff. Well, he left me here to change his clothes and let me tell you, he was taking forever.

Deciding to solve the mystery and unreveal the deep darkest secret of the alpha, I headed to where the magic happened, the kitchen.

Everything was sparkling like it had never been used. What caught my attention though, was a set of monochromatic stainless steel knifes.
"Wow..."
I was examining the chef's knife when suddenly I was startled by not a so nice alpha trying to sneak up on me, dropping the knife in the process.

I closed my eyes not daring to look at my feet fearing I might've lost a toe.

"What were you doing? Choosing a weapon to kill me?"

I opened my eyes to almost have a heart attack from the proximity between us.

"You have a nice kitchen?", it came out more like a question when I intended it to be a compliment.

Mumbling under his breath, he returned the knife to its place and went out of the kitchen. Figuring out he would be going to the backyard, I followed him silently without questioning him. He wasn't my biggest fan right now and I wasn't going to try my luck.

Stepping out of the house, I was in awe. His backyard was fenced by tall thick trees barely letting any wind through, it was literally in the middle of the forest.

When I was done admiring my surroundings, another mesmerizing scene welcomed me; a few feet away, stood alpha Sarvan now shirtless. His abs were to die for and don't let me start on that pectoralis major.

Please God... have mercy on my poor heart.

"Do you like what you're seeing?", he smirked coming closer.

"I've seen waaaaay better...", I exaggerated.

Yeah right, who was I kidding.

Obviously, I was lying and he, of course, saw past my big fat lie. He kept on approaching with a killing slow pace and I couldn't take the sexual tension anymore. So, once he was within my reach, I hooked my arms aroud his neck and kneed him in the stomach taking him off guard. I backed away quickly escaped his rage.

"You wanna play it dirty then? Fine by me. The first one to surrender looses and the winner puts the rules to the next round."

That was my chance to escape shifting and I wasn't going down easily.

We were sparring for nearly an hour now, I was going through hell to say the least, he knew his closeness would affect me so that was exactly what he had been doing for the past hour; he kept on trying to pin me down with his body or to lock me in a "deadly hug", hugs could kill for those out there who didn't know, but I reached my limit when he fell on top of me with no intention to move. His face was really close and he had his eyes moving from my eyes to my lips while flashing gold. Suddenly, he dipped his head going for a kiss when all hell broke loose. I pushed him with all my force sending his body flying and I shouted:
"I surrender okay! You win!"

Thinking about it for a moment made me facepalm myself. I already had him off of me so me surrendering was stupid and futile.

My heart fluttered hearing him laugh for the first time while I huffed acting annoyed when in reality I was a melting mess craving him so hard it was getting physically painful.

"Now that I won, we'll be training in wolf form. So, needless to say, you have to shift, doctor." He ordered, his face all serious now.

"I can't shift. I've lost my wolf 6 years ago." I answered.

Here goes nothing.

I waited for him to say something, to ask me why, to try and know the full story but what he did next would have never crossed my mind.

"SHIFT!", he used his alpha tone one me. To a normal wolf, that would have been enough to send your body into the shifting process even if your wolf was weak or in my case in a deep slumber.

Although I understood why he did it, I couldn't stop the tears that rolled down my cheeks. He had used his alpha tone on me, his mate. He expected it to work and that was what broke my heart. It would never work on an alpha's mate and with his actions, he was making it clear he hadn't accepted the mate pull and obviously, was preparing to reject me anytime soon.

Not knowing what to do, I ran as fast as I could going deeper and deeper into the forest. I ran and ran for what felt like hours before my legs gave out from under me and I fell down face first. I didn't have tge energy to get up so I just rolled over to lay on my back. My tears had long dried but the heartache was still there. I just wanted to stay here forever and to never lay my eyes on this alpha ever again. I was dumb enough to think he had feelings for me, to actually think that he considered me as his mate.

God! I hated him!

I was drowning in selfpitiying when all of the sudden, I heard rustling and the sounds were coming closer. I got up quickly, ready to face any threat that might be coming my way.

Seconds later, a pitch black enormous wolf emerged from behind the trees. He was, by far, the biggest wolf I had ever seen, he towered easily over me. Although he was scary, the pull I'd felt calmed my nerves. It was Alpha Sarvan's wolf that I had yet to know his name.

When he was sure I wasn't going to run for the hills, he came closer lowering his head for me in submission, showing to me that he was no threat. Now that his head was at my level, I could finally see those golden eyes I grew to love.

Love... suck a big word.

He was craving my attention, his mate's attention, so when I didn't make a move to pat him, he nudged me with his snout and started whining.

My heart clenched, I couldn't stay mad at this big fluffy fur ball, after all, it was the green-eyed monster of an alpha that was at fault not his wolf.

I sat down, my back against a tree and patted the space beside me a sign for him to sit. I soon found myself cuddling with him, basking in his warmth.

"Who's a good boy?", I asked ruffling the fur between his ears.

He lifted his head that was resting in my lap and growled lowly not liking how I was finding him harmless. His growls made me laugh loudly, he was the easiest to tease. He snapped his teeth at me warning me but when my laughs echoed in the calmness of the night, he tackled me, pinning me and licking my face.

"Ok, Ok, I'm sorry! Please stop you scary big almighty bad wolf", I managed between my laughs. Satisfied, he sat beside me letting me cuddle with him once again.

I must've fallen asleep at some point because the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes were the walls of my bedroom and the poster of Ironman. The sun was already high in the sky.

What happened yesterday won't repeat itself ever again. I won't let him play with my feelings and then go and stomp on my heart like it was nothing. He didn't even try to explain himself or at least apologize instead he let his wolf soothe my breaking heart all night long without making his presence known. Never had his eyes turned green while I was with his wolf.

I was stronger and ready to fight back.

Friday, the day after tomorrow, would be the day I have my revenge. All I needed was a solid plan and a gorgeous man to be my date for the pack's yearly party.

Game on alpha.
