Alpha Sarvan

Chapter 11

Once the words were out of my mouth, I realized my mistake. If the idea of a traitor in the pack had such an impact on me, there was no telling how it could affect the alpha and the son of the victim.

'Stupid mouth...'

I quickly acted to minimize the effect of my statement; I reached for him while he was already a few steps ahead of me and hugged him from behind trying to hold him on place. His muscles relaxed under my touch and he started to take deep breaths calming himself even more. He then put his hands on mine, drawing soothing circles with his thumbs.

"I promise we'll figure it our soon and expose the bastard whomever it was. I can't begin to imagine how angry you are but you need to stay calm and focused. Please..." I said, my cheek pressed against his back.

I didn't know if my words were actually directed to him or if I was the one that needed to hear them.

I closed my eyes for a second, basking in the scent of my mate, before I became aware of our closeness. I let go of him briskly taking a few steps back.
The blood rushed to my face setting it into flames.

"I'm sorry. I just know exactly what would've happened if you'd gotten angry..." I mumbled, playing with my fingers and looking at the floor as if it was the greatest masterpiece.

"You're right. That's not the right time to play the bad wolf role." He tilted my head up and continued: "let's go home, have some rest and decide on our next step tomorrow."

'Our', he was accepting me as his mate over and over again.

"-Okay! But first can we pass by the hospital so I can start Alpha James on the antidote? If I am right, he should be back to his normal self by tomorrow.

-Are you sure?

-Yeah..."

As planned, we went to the hospital but I made sure to avoid the alpha's family since I was too tired to explain it all.

Satisfied with my work, I decided to head home. To say I was nervous, I would be lying. My home now was tge same cage I'd been running from all these years. I was falling for Alpha Sarvin and all I could do was hope that he'll be there catch me.

Arriving to Alpha Sarvan's house, a not so pleasant surprise was awaiting us.

"Annabelle? What are you doing here?"

Since the announcement a week ago, I convinced myself that I would never see her again, that he never loved her.

"Hello Sar! I've missed you baby!!"

She launched herself at my mate ignoring me completely. I growled lowly trying to hold off Snow from ripping her heart out.

"Annabelle! We've talked about this!" He untangled her hands from around his neck putting distance between them. "I've found my mate. Whatever the agreement that was between us is OVER!." He added, stepping closer to me, pulling me to his side.

"Yeah right... you chose to leave me and get back to your mate ... the same mate that abandoned you years ago to get to fuck around with human bo...!!"

I slapped her before she got to finish. I was seeing red.

'Who does she think herself?'

I shifted partially so my claws were out and I was ready to mutilate her when my mate stopped me and addressed her with a threatening tone:

"Get out of here Annabelle or I won't hold myself responsible for my mate's actions."

Annabelle stood her ground for a second before meeting my gaze. She retreated slowly and when I was certain that she was gone, I turned around quickly, ready to lash out on him for defending her but I was met with his rough lips on mine instead. I melted into the kiss, forgetting what I was mad about. The kiss didn't last long, but it left me disoriented craving for more.

I didn't realize I was still closing my eyes until my mate cleared his throat, a smirk on his face.

"You were saying..." He teased.

"Goodnight Alpha!"

I rushed into the house and into the first guestroom I came across. I locked the door behind me, leaning on it for support; I couldn't trust my mushy legs to do the job. My heart was threatening to burst out of my chest. Unconsciously, I reached for my lips, tracing them with the tip of my fingers, trying to memorize every bit of this feeling.

It took me minutes to return from Lala Land. Looking around, I realized that I had nothing to sleep in and going back outside was definitely not an option.

The balcony in the room had an entrancing view of the forest that, at that time of the night, was basking in a dark calming veil.

I spent sometime there contemplating the scenery and reflecting on Alpha Sarvan and I's relationship.

"-Snow? Are you here??

  -Yeah, trying to have some rest though. Go bother someone else!

-pft"

Although it had been a long tiring day, I wasn't feeling sleepy at all.

'Might as well try my mindlink.' I snickered mentally.

"Alpha..." I waited a few seconds before trying again but my efforts were in vain.

'Couldn't it be still blocked?'

I threw myself on the bed, tossing and turning aroud.

"Alpha Sarvan..."  I said lazily once again through the mindlink. I was starting to get bored.

'I need company.'

"Sarvan..." A loud growl echoed through the night taking me by surprise and not even a second after that a knock on my door startled me.

"Open the door Mae and stop teasing me. It's taking all in my power not to knock down the door and let myself in..."

Well, I kind of deserved it, I should've seen that coming.

"-Euh... It's okay, I'll sleep now. I was just testing my mindlink. Sorry to disturb you Alpha.

-Mae... I'll count to 3, either you sleep without a door for the rest of the night or you open it right now!"

What a gentleman, giving me an easy choice. I scoffed internally and headed towards the door cracking it open and sticking my head out.

"-Yes Alpha...

-Mae! For the love of the moon goddess  stop calling me Alpha! The only place where you're allowed to do so is while you're under me..." he growled viciously pushing the door wide open.

My breath hitched when he stood just in front of me. The tension between us was unbearable and there was no way I was escaping this situation.

Suddenly I had the perfect plan.

I traced his arms with my fingers, going all the way up to his biceps and deltoid. I then stood on the tip of my toes pecking his lips hurriedly before running out of the room leaving him stunned and sexually frustrated.

I had no time to brag about my win. I had to hide and I had to do it quickly.
I followed his scent to where it seemed to be the most powerful and it led me to a dark themed bedroom with a king sized bed. I stepped inside locking the door...

'Finally, I found something to wear for sleep...'

I wanted to say sorry for the long wait but I had exams to prepare for in addition to my internship.
I will do everything in my power to update more regularly especially after the surprise I was faced with once I was back on wattpad.
I didn't expect this story to get this much attention and for that , I have to thank every one of you guys.
