When One Became Two Again

Chapter 2-Let Us Show You Around

I woke up a lot earlier than I thought I was going to. Technically, it wasn't my choice. Berry had been purring for a while, though I had been doing my best to ignore her. But the soft vibrations eventually caused me to open my eyes.

I was in that truly euphoric state when you're perfectly comfortable and your bed is the perfect temperature. I looked up at my ceiling. The golden sunlight pouring into my room.

"Yes Berry, I'm up." I said as she nudged my cheek.

I stood up and got some ripped black jeans and a dark green hoodie out of my draw and went to my bathroom. It was really weird. My old school didn't have a bathroom in the dorm rooms. But I wasn't going to complain. The room itself was a spacious room. And it was gorgeous. There was a massive window at the back of the room. It wasn't even a wall it was just one big window that led out into a balcony. The room was filled with golden sunlight. I really want to get some plants to put in here. The Dursley's never let me have a plant, but at my old school I had lots of plants that filled my entire room. This room would be no different. Berry used to love sitting in the plants though she would squish them a bit. She also loved basking in the sunlight. I was quite glad that I got here on a Friday. I love Saturday mornings. The room also smelled like burnt wood and pine, much like the common room. As much as I love those smells, I prefer the smell of lilies and roses and other beautifully smelling flowers. Plus the room could use some colour, other than red and gold. 

I'll ask Harry if he knows any good places to get nice plants and decorative things. I went into the bathroom, it was also spacious. It was large and had a shower and a bath. It had a gorgeous sink and a very large mirror. All I have to do is put my own little spin on this place and everything will be fine. I brushed my teeth and had a quick shower. I dried myself off and changed. I put on some socks and shoes. I opened my door, putting my wand in my pocket. A boy was standing in front of my door. I recognized him as one of the red headed twins from yesterday. I couldn't tell which though to tell the truth. He was quite pretty though I must admit. He smiled down at me, with a charming smile. His hair was glowing with the sunlight from my room. I smiled back up at him. He was considerably taller than me.

"I'm George, the pretty one from yesterday. So you're new and all so. How would you feel about my brother and I showing you around? Woah is that your dorm? Luckyyy. The boys dorm is so gross. Yours is pretty though. Pretty girl like you deserves a pretty room though innit. Look at that window damn. Okay anyway. What do you say Potter?" He said. My cheeks blushed red when he called me pretty. People hadn't often called me pretty.

"I- uhm. Sure. Ooh that's perfect actually. Do you know anywhere that has nice plants and decorating stuff? My dorm could use a little redecorating." I asked smiling up at him.

"I know just the person actually. Neville Longbottom is the man you need to talk to. Magic man with plants he is. And Fred and I can take you to Diagon Alley, to find some other little bits and bobs. We'll take you round the school tomorrow then I s'pose." He said. He had freckles all over his face and a sweet smile. He consistently pushed his hair back, the light from my room, clearly blinding him, made his eyes stand out, and his cute freckles, his eyes where beautifully hazel. The green and light brown and little gold flecks mixing perfectly. He was handsome to say the least.

"That's prefect. Thank you George." I said smiling.

"Right this way madame." He said equally as bright. His brother, Fred greeted me with a smile. 

"Well, we have to go see Neville first and I suppose we should find Harry and tell him we're stealing his little sister for the day." George said.

"Neville huh? Like plants do you? And Harry just so happens to be with Neville and Ron." Fred replied.
