"I'm still pissed at you." Hendery muttered, while they were sitting outside the principal's office, waiting for their judgement.

"Oh you're pissed? You just kissed me and I didn't accuse you of harassment-" Hendery rolled his eyes, giving Xiaojun a long look. "Firstly, I wonder who kissed back. And second, I waited for half an hour for you today, missing class, and then you show up holding Yangyang's hand-"

"You know Yangyang?" Hendery wanted to laugh out loud, Yangyang's family were werewolf nobels, and he was part of vampire royals, of course they knew each other.

"Yes, we've met." Hendery replied, still angry about Xiaojun holding Yangyang's hand. "You made me wait for 30 minutes and then you show up close to someone else and holding hands like a couple!" Hendery whined, making the older stare and wonder whether this was the boy who had actually slammed and pinned him to the wall, dominating him with aggressive kisses.

"Wait- you were jealous?"

Hendery raised his eyebrows at Xiaojun, licking his lips. "What do you think, pet?" Xiaojun's face flushed, and he swatted Hendery's arm. "Just- stop it with that nickname!" He hissed, blushing terribly.

Hendery didn't answer, and just gently put his head on Xiaojun's shoulder, leaning on him and smiling at the older's warmth. Warmth he would never really have. He could feel Xiaojun's beating heart, he could hear the pounding and the fresh blood rushing through his veins, making him alive.

And there was the huge line between them. Hendery was cold, undead, he was a living corpse that lived off blood, while Xiaojun actually had a life, had a future, he could grow old with the ones he loved, he could have kids and grow old as he watched them grow older.

He couldn't ever have that. Knowing that, Hendery felt- pain. It was painful, and in a second he could see Xiaojun's future. And Hendery, who with one choice could change Xiaojun's life was left hurting because of what he saw.

Xiaojun would age, grow older, have kids with YangYang. He would end up with that young werewolf, they'd have hybrid children, get married and grow old together, loving each other immensely and more and more each day if Hendery let go. If Hendery made the right choice, Xiaojun could have a perfect life.

And suddenly, Hendery realized the lie he told Yuta. No feelings involved? And that human had triggered something in him. When he kissed Dejun, Hendery swore he felt a heartbeat, he could feel something in him speeding up, it was like he could feel actual blood pumping through his veins and he felt- human...

"The principal will see you now." The secretary's voice broke Hendery out from his trance, and he stumbled out, opening the door to the principal's office.

"Hendery, Xiaojun, have a seat." Hendery whose head was still hurting because of that vision of the future rolled his eyes, trying to contain the tears that welled out of nowhere.

"What do you want, Moon." he questioned, leaning against the wall and quickly wiped away the tears. "Oh come on Hendery, at least respect me at school if you don't respect me at home."

"Not a chance, uncle Taeil." Hendery grinned, spotting Xiaojun's surprised face. "But honestly Hendery, making out with him under the staircase? Seriously? If you dad heard about this he'd explode and imagine your grandpa-"

"Xiaojun's hyung already wants to kill me so I don't care." Taeil sighed exasperatedly. "Kids these days. Xiaojun, you're excused, you didn't do anything wrong, I just want to speak to Hendery."

"But-" Hendery smiled at Xiaojun gently, and then led him out of the office, ruffling his hair. "Just go, I won't get in trouble, wait for me at the lockers at lunch, okay?" Hendery considered saying what he desperately wanted to, but he knew if he said it Xiaojun would lose that perfect future, so he didn't, and put his words into a small gesture.

He leaned forward, kissing Xiaojun on the forehead. "Go, see you later!" Hendery smiled sadly to himself, then walked back into Taeil's office, and his uncle was staring at him, obviously surprised.

"Did you just-"

"Yes, I did. What."

Hendery watched the color drain from Taeil's face, sighing silently as Taeil grabbed his phone, probably texting Taeyong and Yuta, and the two professors burst in through the door around 2 minutes later.

"HE DID WHAT?" Yuta yelled, and Hendery buried his face in his hands, silently swearing. "He made out with Xiaojun under the stairs first, and then he kissed Dejun's forehead when he left. You know fairly well what a kiss on the forehead means-"

Yuta glared at Hendery, barely containing his anger. "YOU SAID NO FEELINGS INVOLVED!" Hendery rolled his eyes, glaring right back at Yuta. "I lie. I care about him."

"You-" "Hyung, shut up. I know very well what I'm doing, and I have no plan of a future with Xiaojun. He has a perfect one with someone else." Taeyong's eyes narrowed at that, and he stared at his son. "You- had another vision?"

"He doesn't end up with me, so you guys don't have to worry." Hendery hissed, fighting to keep his tears in. "He's not mine in the future. Let me be."

"Hendery-" "Don't you even dare, Yuta. Don't you even dare give me hope."

With that sentence, Hendery walked out of the office, stumbling into the lecture hall where he had his next class, sitting down at the back corner of the classroom which was empty, and started to cry.

Ten was heading to his Chemistry class, and stopped in front of a door when he heard sounds of sobbing. He couldn't resist, and opened the door slightly, seeing Hendery silently sob onto the desk.

"Hendery? What's wrong?" he asked, walking over cautiously. "Everything..." the younger sobbed, and Ten could only sit down and hug the younger. "Hendery, what's wrong?" he asked, gently caressing the younger's hair. "Dejun.."

"Dejun hurt you?" ten questioned, not believing what he heard. "N-no... I like Dejun. He doesn't like me, so it's fine. Everything's fine." Ten sighed, and comforted the younger, patting his back, realizing Hendery's skin was freezing cold, so he quickly took of his jacket and draped it on Hendery's shoulders.

Guan Heng quickly wiped away his tears, and sat up properly, looking at Ten. "Thank you, anyways you better get to class, my teacher is almost here as well." Ten patted his back, sighing. "Why don't you come to the library with me later, hmm? We can relax for a while and maybe you'll feel better." The Chinese smiled, nodding as Ten smiled, heading out, only to get his phone buzzed like crazy, getting notifications from the school gossip group.

He turned on his phone, glancing at the post making everyone go crazy. The photo was not what he expected. Xiaojun was pinned to the wall, and Hendery was kissing him, the two looking more desperate for each other than ever. If this happened- then why was Hendery crying?

Dejun skipped up to him, grinning at his hyung. "Hyung! Lets go to class!"

Ten nodded, and handed his phone to Dejun. "Staircase? Nice place for a first kiss, Dejunnie." he teased, trying to keep his usual sassy temper. Xiaojun's face flushed, and when he looked at the photo his eyes widened in terror. "Oh god- his fangirls are going to kill me-"

Ten smiled at him, ignoring the burning jealousy in his heart, and pondered whether to tell him about Hendery crying. "They definitely will."
