Yangyang leaned forward, and took a bite out of Xiaojun's half eaten taco, happily chewing and sitting down next to Dejun, purposely ignoring Hendery. The vampire clenched his fists for a second, and forced a smile back onto his face, pushing his plate of tacos towards Xiaojun, smiling gently. "Enjoy your lunch, pet, I don't feel really well so I think I'm going to call it a day and head home early after going to the infirmary. I'll see you later at the library, Ten ge.""I'll help you get to the infirmary." Lucas added, and Jungwoo got up as well, following his boyfriend. "See you guys later!" Woo waved, and then skipped after Lucas, who was worriedly glancing at the vampire.
"Hendery, are you okay?" he asked, once they were out of the crowded cafeteria and headed towards the principal's office. "Yes, I am, Xuxi. Don't worry."
"You sure you won't go and punch the werewolf?"
Hendery nodded, his smile hiding the pain he felt. Let go for Xiaojun. Let go for his life.
"I'm fine, Xuxi. Go on, enjoy the rest of your day with your boyfriend, I'm honestly just going to head home." Hendery walked into Taeil's office, got the permit and walked out of the school door, turning into the public toilet, locked the door and teleported back to his house. "Fuck.." he swore, sliding onto the floor in his room, one wish in his head.
Oh how much he wished he wasn't a vampire. But that could never happen.
"Hendery, why are you home so early?" Jaehyun stood right in front of him, glancing at his son in surprise. "I- I didn't feel well."
"Well that's clearly a lie, is it that human?" Jaehyun's phone buzzed, and Hendery sighed, knowing exactly what it was. Jaehyun checked it, and paled at its contents. "You- you kissed him today? Hendery-"
"Pa. I controlled myself. Plus, I'm not going to see him again." "What do you mean-" Hendery forced himself to stop the tears and the pain as he told his father the entire story. "So- you- he- you're letting go for him?" Hendery nodded, not trusting himself to speak.
"I'm quitting school, you know fairly well I don't need it. If you really want me to go to school I'll switch schools." Jaehyun sighed, and hugged his son, not really knowing what words of comfort he could say.
"Hendery.. I'm sorry. I'll give you a few days to think about quitting school, it's a hard decision." his son didn't even respond, and just sat there, his eyes blank. Jaehyun could only leave his son there, and go back to his work.
Yangyang was really cute, Xiaojun had to give him that. But he kind of just wanted to see Hendery, so he declined Yangyang's offer to have dinner together, and headed over to Hendery's house. Actually he didn't know where Hendery lived, so he just followed Mr Lee.
Xiaojun watched Mr Lee step into the house, closing the door behind him and Xiaojun quickly dove behind the lamp post, praying that Mr Lee didn't see him. The truth was, Taeyong already smelt him much earlier, and just didn't want to say anything.
Dejun pondered whether he should knock on the door or not, and sighed, finally leaving after about half an hour later.
He didn't have a reason to go knock, and if Mr Lee opened the door it would be extremely awkward. Xiaojun remembered that next week, the school was having a teacher's meeting, which meant all the students had the day off, while Mr Lee had to go to work. He'll come tomorrow and see Hendery.
Xiaojun turned, just about to walk away but frowned, looking back at one of the bedroom windows in their house. He was sure he saw a pair of glowing blood red eyes staring at him a second ago, but now the room was completely dark and the curtains were drawn.
"God, I must be paranoid, I'm seeing things now."
Xiaojun slowly walked off, and Hendery who was hiding behind the curtains let out a loud gasp of relief, and suddenly got a knock on the door. "Hendery? I'll be out on a business trip this month, your dad's coming with me, alright?""Yeah, go! Don't worry about me." Jaehyun nodded from outside, then realized Hendery couldn't see through doors. "Alright, the bottled blood is in the fridge, stay safe." And with that, Hendery's parents teleported away, leaving Hendery alone in his house.
Hendery sighed, going upstairs to grab an outfit to change into in order to meet Ten at the public library. Ten had always been so nice, and it would be a good idea to take his mind off Dejun by spending time with his new friend, wouldn't it?
The Chinese sighed, settling for a casual trench coat and ruffled his hair, before heading to the library. He was actually tired, and when he sat down with a chosen book, he couldn't see Ten so he merely started to read, his eyelids getting heavier and heavier.
Ten ran in, closing down his umbrella, his long jacket soaking wet from the rain, panting heavily as he walked in, wanting to apologize to Hendery for being so late. He trudged into the deeper parts of the library after hanging up his jacket, then slowed in his footsteps as he saw Hendery asleep.
Ten stared at the transfer in front of him. The chinese was just too gorgeous, and he was resting there, peacefully leaning on his seat, his head drooped to one side with his eyes closed, those long curled lashes only making his features even more delicate.
He was sure the boy wasn't human. No one could look this pretty, their skin so flawless under the warm light of the library, an open book in his lap as the boy stayed in dreamland.
Ten bit his tongue nervously, his fingers tapping his jaw as he finally decided to edge forward and slide down on the soft sofa chair, next to Hendery. "You-you're so pretty." Ten whispered, soundlessly moving closer as he gently guided Hendery to lean his head onto his shoulder.
"But you like Dejun so much..."
"So I guess I'm giving up. Good luck with him, Dery..."
