Hendery flopped back down on his bed, trying to not tear out his hair. He didn't want to go bald, but he didn't care at the moment. Dejun had to leave before he was in danger, Hendery was going to ruin his life if Xiaojun didn't leave quickly enough.
"Why doesn't he understand he has to leave before-" Xuxi sat down on the bed as well and crossed his arms. "Before what, Hendery?" The said boy groaned again, burying his face into his pillow. "Huang Guan Heng don't you ignore me- I will slap y-" Hendery cut him off. "You can't hurt me, you giant human baby, I'm a bloody vampire." Lucas scoffed, rolling his eyes. "And I'm not stupid. Let me finish. If you ignore me I'll go downstairs and slap Dejun." In a flash, Hendery had his fangs out and hissed at Lucas.
Lucas rolled his eyes again, raising his arms in mock surrender. "Chill, you blood-sucking donkey." Hendery curled back up into a ball, rocking himself like a giant baby. "Are you seriously sulking?" Hendery pouted, sticking his tongue out at Lucas. "No!"
"Oh who's the baby now." There was silence for a while, and Hendery muttered a question. "How do you know if you're in love with someone?" Lucas pulled him up and stared into his eyes seriously. "I'll ask you 3 questions. If the answers to these three questions are all yes, then you're in love."
Hendery nodded, waiting for Lucas to start speaking.
"When you look at this person, do you get butterflies in your stomach?"
Hendery thought of all the times he looked at Dejun, admiring his flawless side profile, and all the times when he saw Xiaojun smile, and the fluttering feeling in his chest. He was honestly an angel from heaven. An angel a devil like him could never have...
"Yes."
"Whenever you're not with that person, do you wish you were with him?" Hendery thought of how much he missed Xiaojun in those few days he didn't go to school, and sighed at how much he seemed like a lovesick puppy. His mind then flew to the day they had tacos at lunch. No one else knew how much he wished he didn't leave, and the person making Dejun smile and sharing tacos was him instead of that werewolf.
"Yes.." Hendery muttered. He didn't like where this was going.
"Last question. Would you give your life for this person?" There wasn't even a hint of hesitation in Hendery's voice.
"Yes." He gasped in horror as he realized something.
"Well then, you're-" Hendery cut him off. "I am not! I don't even have a heart-" Lucas met his ferocious gaze, glaring right back at him. "Why are you lying to yourself, Guan Heng? You know it'll just hurt you even more, so stop lying and admit it!"
"I am not lying!"
Lucas was ready to punch some sense into his best friend, but thought of a better solution. Anger was always the easiest way to make Hendery lose his control, and the walls here were certainly quite thin. "Well if you don't love him then I'll call that werewolf over and he can shower Xiaojun with kisses like that day at lunch and Dejun would enjoy it and kiss him back and-"
Hendery's eyes flared red again, and he pounced up from his bed, glaring at Lucas.
"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE! XIAOJUN IS MINE AND I LOVE HIM MORE THAN ANYTHING-"
Lucas grinned, clapping his hands together. "Now look who finally admitted it." Something thumped onto the floor downstairs, and the two ran downstairs together.
Taeyong had fainted. Jaehyun was even whiter than his usual self, and Yuta had a painful smile on his face. Xuxi cheered, grinning like there was no tomorrow.
"So I guess you all heard that confession, huh!" Xiaojun stared at Hendery for a while, discovering the vampire was blushing. "Um- Dejun- I can explain- um-"
The smile Xiaojun currently had on his face was brighter than anything Hendery had ever seen in his light. Xiaojun was radiant. An actual angel in their dark home.
'My angel..' he muttered under his breath, still unable to take his eyes off Dejun.
The older sauntered over, and this time, he was the one smirking. Hendery was still in his trance.
"He's beautiful..." Dejun's smirk widened, finally stopping when their faces were inches apart.
"No, honey. I'm Xiao De Jun, your boyfriend." And he grabbed Hendery, smashing their lips together.
Also I just wanted to say, the chapter that's gonna come out later is gonna be a mess of different feelings from different characters towards Hendery and Xiaojun. Its gonna be a dramatic one, people. so do a drumroll. thank you for your participation.
