"Okay, it's been two hours, how're you feeling?" Angela questions, ambushing me outside of my art class.

"Hey, Em. How were your last two classes? Oh, they were great Ang, how were yours?" I respond sarcastically.

"Delightful. Now let me fuss over my best friend. How're you feeling?" She asks, grabbing me by my shoulders to stop me.

"Fine. The nausea passed and the headache lessened. Now can you please let me go, I have to find Jaxon and grab Adalyn," I request, her doing so.

"Fine, but I'm walking with you. And I was thinking that if I follow you home then we can both ride in my car to the hospital. I don't want you driving if it turns out positive."

"Thank you," I thank, taking her hand as we exit the school and begin our way to the elementary.

"For what?"

"For being my best friend. For caring so much. For being you. I could go on and on," I answer, pulling her into my side further. "I'm just lucky."

"And I'm lucky right ba-"

"Angie! Rem!" Ada interrupts, running at us and plowing into our legs.

"Oof, look at you, you little rocket!" Ang exclaims, picking her up and swinging her about while I smile at Adalyn's teacher, giving her a wave. "So, tell us little one, how was your day?"

"Well first Remmie dropped me off for school, and then we did math in class, then a science project where we planted seeds, and during lunch, my teacher read part of the first Harry Potter book to us, and then we did some drawing for art and worked on our letters!" She rambles, bouncing between us as we each swing her hands.

"Sounds like a busy day, Munchkin. Are you enjoying Harry Potter?" I ask, looking around the lot for Jax.

"It's so good! I really like Hermini but Ron and 'Arry aren't very nice to her until they need her," She complains, rolling her eyes.

Angela and I look at each other, sharing a proud smile as we almost reach our cars.

"That's why Rem always says guys suck, Addie," Jax explains, leaning against the passenger door while on his phone. "And we do. Most of the time."

"Don't worry, Jaxon, you're one of the good ones," Ang assures, messing up his hair.

"Ahh I have a good male role model in my life," Jax explains. "My dearest big sister."

"Hey, you little jerk!" I exclaim pushing his shoulder as I pass him with Ada, opening the back door to put her in her car seat. "I am a wonderful, FEMALE role model. One that's saying to getcha butt in the car. Ang and I have somewhere to be."

"Ooh, double date?" Jax mocks, making kissing noises with his mouth.

"No! Rem! Angie! Don't do it!" Ada yells, clear as day through Jax's partially open door. "Boys have cooties!" She adds, making us all laugh.

"We'll keep that in mind, Ada Mae," Ang assures the smallest Rhodes before turning her attention to me. "I'll follow you three and then we can carpool."

"As I said, sounds great. I'll see you in 15," I agree, us both hopping in our cars.

"So, somewhere to be eh?"

"Jaxon, leave it be you goof."
