"Idiot! Lunatic! Moron! Jackass! Selfish, vile, irresponsible fool!" Rosalie yells, storming into the Cullen family home with steam coming from her ears.
"Rosalie!" Esme scolds, horror clear on her face as she sits with Carlisle, watching the news.
"Edward Mason, I am going to tear you to pieces and set you ablaze."
"Woah- babe, wh-"
"And I'm going to help her," Alice states, glaring daggers at her bronze-haired brother and cutting Emmett off.
"Yeah, no I can't handle both of them, it's all on you," Emmett gives in, shrugging, and returning to his seat.
"Alice-"
"Fuck off with the mood control Jasper," His 'twin' interrupts, turning her gaze of fire on him just long enough to have him stop.
"Rosalie, Alice, that's enough," Carlisle speaks up, his voice full of authority. "Everyone take a seat and rather than cursing and yelling, let's have a calm discussion," the father instructs, his children doing so as Edward's head moves back and forth, trying to read his sisters' thoughts but being halted by random things, a common occurrence to keep him out. "Now, I assume this is about Remmington's visit to the hospital today with Angela Webber?"
"What? Why was Rem at the hospital?" Edward questions, looking to his father.
"She has been ill for a few weeks so Angela Webber booked her an appointment this morning," Carlisle explains vaguely, a knowing look on his face while his mind hums an opera only Edward can hear.
"You looked at her file, didn't you?" Esme asks, a disapproving tone to her voice. "Carlisle, she's not your patient, you know you're not supposed to go looking around."
"I know my love," He assures, kissing the top of his wife's head. "I just had to be sure she was okay. She is Edward's closest friend outside of the family after all."
"So you know then?" Rosalie questions, her voice harsh as ever.
"Know what?" Emmett asks, earning a glare from his wife and sister. "Okay, I'm not involved, got it."
"Yes, Rose. I know. I'm surprised given what a responsible young lady she is, but I do know."
"You only know half of it," Rose snarls. "Guess who the father is?"
"Well, I really don't think that is appropriate, Rosa-"
"No. That's impossible, Alice," Edward interrupts, Alice's thoughts having slipped through the noise just long enough for him to see.
"Girls, what is it that you know?" Esme asks, seeing the reaction of her son, his complexion paler than usual, if that's even possible.
"We saw Remmington and Angela at the hospital. We heard the two of them talking and-," Alice begins to explain.
"She's pregnant. Edward's the father."
"What?!"
"Rosalie, is that true?"
"It's impossible!"
"Well you're the only one she's slept with in the last like eight months since she and Nathaniel broke up when he moved," Alice explains, voice slightly lower now.
"Are you sure the child is Edwards?" Esme asks, a hesitant glance around the room before her eyes land on her husband. "How is that possible?"
"I've only heard of something like this happening once, quite a long while ago."
"It's impossible," Edward argues.
"Obviously not," Jasper speaks up, the quiet anger in his tone obvious to his family. "Remmington isn't one to sleep around."
"I know. She's my best friend," Edward states, voice hard as he glares.
"He wasn't suggesting anything, Edward," Esme tries to calm. "We've all taken a liking to Remmie since you and her became friends."
"I know," The broody vampire mumbles in response. "I was so foolish. I knew better."
"Should have after a hundred something years alive," Rosalie mumbles, earning a look of disapproval from her parents.
"When did you even sleep with Rem? You've been with Bella since she moved here," Emmett questions.
"Five or so weeks ago? Bella had taken off to see Jacob and we'd been fighting. I was mad so I went over to Remmington's, knowing her family was out of town."
"You gave in the the pull," Jasper states. "You've been fighting feelings for her since we came to town."
"I have not," Edward argues.
"I'm an empath. I know," Jasper states simply.
"So what are you going to do?" Alice asks.
"You've ruined her life, you have to do something," Rosalie chimes in.
"Rose, your phone is-" Emmett begins to say, her shaking her head.
"Can you answer it? I'm sure it's just Irina."
Doing so without looking, the largest Cullen grits his teeth, his eyes in slivers as he glares at Edward. "Rem, hey. Why are you crying?" He asks, pretending not to know.
"Oh uh- no reason," The family can hear her sniffle. "I was just hoping to ask a favor from Rose, Ali, or Jasper, are any of them there?"
"Yeah, yeah, I just answered because Rose thought it was our cousin. Here she is-"
"Rem, how are you?" Rose asks as soon as she gets the phone.
"I- I've certainly been better, but I'm picking myself up and moving forward. I'm currently making Jaxon and Ada's lunches for tomorrow."
"Do you need anything?" Rose questions, voice soft but eyes hard as she glares at her devastated brother.
"No, no. I was just hoping you, Jasper and Ali could hold off on telling Edward. I don't want to have our friendship get complicated just yet and the last thing I need is Bella having yet another reason to murder me in my sleep."
"Oh," Rose mumbles, looking around the room. "Yeah, we can definitely do that. Do you think you'll tell him?"
"I'll have to at some point. I just have to figure out how to tell my family first."
"Will you tell your dad?" Rosalie asks, although regretting it when she hears the deep inhale on the other end of the line.
"He left his own three children and wife to go to California and marry the woman that he had been having an affair with for six years. He doesn't deserve to know," Remmington answers, voice determined yet soft.
"If you need anything, you know we're here for you. The entire family."
"I know. I just need to know what I need from me first," The teen explains. "I should go get cleaned up. It's almost bath time for Ada and I have to do homework at some point."
"Okay superwoman, I'll see you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow Rose, say hi to everyone for me," Remmington requests, hanging up.
"You," Rose states, pointing at Edward. "Need to figure this out."
"I will. I will."
