"This is a mess," Jess whispers out, having three failed attempts of quieting the rowdy society.
"It's not a mess," I deny quickly, glancing over the room. "You just have to know how to handle children."
"Wha-"
"Alright, listen up kids!" I holler, the room quieting immediately. "Good, thank you, Jessica, you're up."
"She's scary," Mike whispers poorly to Eric, over my sisters head.
"Shhhh," Ades shushes, bouncing happily next to two of her favorite guys.
Jess approaches the podium, straightening her skirt before clearing her throat. "Okay, so new month means new volunteer projects people!" She exclaims, half the group groaning. "Come on you guys, Prezzie has some great options lined up this month," She encourages, waving for me to retake the podium.
Stepping forward, a wave of nausea hits me, my eyes closing as I take a deep breath, trying to get settled. Upon reopening them I make eye contact with Angela, a silent question of if I'm okay passing through her eyes. Nodding discretely, I throw on a smile, shuffling my papers. "Okay people, this first option is near and dear to my heart, so any groaning and moaning and I swear I'll lose it," I threaten jokingly, earning some laughs. "The first opportunity is volunteer hours at the hospital. Now, this wouldn't include any medical work, because we all know we can't trust Eric or Mike with a scalpel-"
"Hey!"
"You so could!" Both boys argue, making me chuckle.
"But after talking with Dr.Cullen," My eyes wonder to his children, landing on only one. "We agreed that the patients would enjoy some company. So, this would involve just going in for a few hours, three minimum, and sitting with patients, making conversation. From experience, this is an incredibly rewarding experience, so I encourage you all to do it," I encourage, flipping to my next note page. "Any questions on that one?"
"Would you be there in you scrubs?" Henry questions, smirking.
"I'll be there with a medical license and a stethoscope," I correct, "the scrubs are a part of that, Harrison."
"It's Henry," He corrects, frowning now as his friends laugh.
"I know," I respond simply, moving on as the room oos and ahs. "Next up, another one that I encourage, volunteering a few hours to the peewee basketball team! Addie, would you like to come help me?" I ask, her nodding excitedly and running up, waving at everyone. "What would these nice people be doing to help?"
"You'd help teach us plays and drills and play with us and it'd be really really fun!" She tells, bouncing on her feet.
"You can't just use Ada Mae to sell volunteer work!" Mike protests jokingly.
"Pwease Mikey?" Ada throws in, batting her lashes and pouting.
"Oh God, I'm in. You're so your sister," My male best friend groans.
"Great, and finally, for those of you that don't like the sickly or children, the soup kitchen is always looking for people to work the kitchen. No experience needed and no requirements to work the front," I finish. "Now, any questions on either of those before I hand you over to Jess?"
"Will you be in attendance at all of these?" Bella questions, raising her hand as she leans against Edward.
"I will be. Will that be an issue, Isabella?" I question, her glaring but not responding. "Good, I'm glad. Sign ups will be on this desk as you leave, please write your name down or we will hunt you down," I threaten jokingly.
"Awesome, thank you, Rem, and now for a run down on how last month went -"
