"So your mom knows?" Ang asks, sitting at a table outside with me as we wait for classes to start, Jaxon and Ada already where they need to be.

"Yeah, she and I talked for a long time last night. She feels like its her fault, for not being around, that I would have turned out... different," I explain, laying down on my side of the bench with my hand over my eyes.

"Turned out different?" She scoffs, and I can hear her earrings clink as she shakes her head. "Every parent in this town, including mine, would probably kill to have you as a daughter," She defends, voice sharp. "I'm going to go into that shop of hers and -"

"And nothing, Ang," I interrupt, "She's my mother. The only remaining parent Jax and Ada have at the moment and we love her, as flawed as she is," I remind. "She just- is worried about me. I've always had big dreams and now theres a rather large speed bump in the way. "

"Speed bump? Oh Rem," She coos, patting my head, making me shake my hand in her direction, getting her to stop. "What should I do? I don't know where to go from here," I admit, looking over the car park and away from her eyes, only to find a set of gold that make my stomach flutter. Although, that may just be nausea.

"Okay, what do we know for certain?" She asks, tapping my knee to regain my attention.

Sighing, I threat my fingers, thoroughly combing through my head. "I'm eight weeks pregnant with Ed's child."

"Okay, what else?" She encourages, eyes never leaving mine.

"My family knows," I add, thinking it over. "Well, not everyone."

She sighs, shaking her mass of curls. "Your d-"

"Our friends," I interrupt, "I need to think of some way to tell everyone."

"Even Bella?"

"Of course not," I answer, shaking my pony tail. "I'm thinking I'll just invite the crew to my place, figure a way to tell everyone."

"Maybe just pull out the positive exam pap- is that your brother?" Ang interrupts herself, pointing over my shoulder and down to the lot.

"That is?" I answer, the confusion clear in my voice. He's supposed to be in his classroom waiting for the bell. "I don't think this is going anywhere good," I mumble, seeing his target.

The father of my baby.

Edward Cullen and his family.

"Oh this isn't going to be good at all," Ang agrees, pulling me up from my perch and following me down the stairs as I jog as quickly as I can.

"Hey jackass!" I can hear Jaxon holler, making me move even faster, knowing his anger. "Next time you want to fuck up your life, maybe leave my sister out of it!" He calls across the rapidly filling lot, drawing attention in such a small town.

"Jaxon Rhodes!" I call, although it falls on deaf ears as I reach the lot, his fist already flying towards Edward's face. "Jax!"

"Woah their little man," Emmett's calm tone reacts, his hands moving faster than my eyes can register to catch Jaxon's fist before it can hit his own brother. "Let's not going hurting ourselves or others."

"Fuck off," Jaxon scoffs, pulling his hand from the giants and glaring with eyes of steel at Edward.

Finally making it to the family and my brother I pull his arm, tugging it back to gain his attention. "This? This is NOT how I raised you," I scold, waving my hands between he and my best friend.

"This? This is NOT how you treat the woman you are in love with!" Jax fires back, waving between Edward and I. What on Earth is he talking about?

"Jaxon, we do not physically assault people because we aren't happy with them," I scold, tone softer that before. "Do you see me running up and punching Edward in the face?"

He chuckles, resulting in me doing the same and he turns to the Cullens, face relieved of most of its anger as Angela stays back to observe.

"Jax, what do you say to Edward and the Cullens for interrupting their morning?"

He rolls his eyes, looking to me with a look of so much teenage attitude that I try to remember a time I ever had that much.

Turning to look over the family fully for the first time this morning, for the first time since last night at the diner.

"I'm sorry for almost socking Edward in the face for being an-"

"Okay!" I interrupt, patting my brother on the back and grabbing his shoulder, shaking it lightly. "Time for you to go."

"Rem-!"

"Nuh uh, you started enough trouble this morning," I interrupt, patting him again and him actually taking the message this time.

Looking up to Angela, she nods, shrugging her shoulders in response to the unasked question. What the hell is going on?

"I'll make sure he gets where he's going," She assures, slinging her arm over the moody teen's shoulder. "Let's go kid, before your favorite person has to kick your ass."

"Ada is in class, she can't right now," Jax rebuts, making me rub my hand down my face as he and she leave fully, leaving me to clean up his mess.

"I am so beyond sorry he just tried to do that," I apologize, meeting Edward's eyes. "He's not usually like this, but he just found out last night -"

"You're showing," Rosalie whispers, almost silently as she looks me over, entire being stiff.

I grow uncomfortable under all their eyes now, wrapping my arm around my stomach.

"Uh, yeah, I'm about 9 weeks along, baby is about the size of a cherry at the moment, so I was hoping it wasn't that easy to notice," I mumble, pulling at the loose denim button up that lays on my shoulders.

"It's not, I'm certain no one else will notice," Alice assures, moving forward and placing a delicate hand on my arm, rubbing it slowly. There's something so certain in her voice, like she was so entirely certain there was no question about it.

"I- that's the hope, I want to be able to tell my friends before they find out otherwise," I admit. "I've got a lot to figure out," I chuckle sadly, the bell ringing in the back ground. "I uh, guess that's my cue, I'll see you all around."

"Remm-"

"I'll see you around Ed," I acknowledge, walking away.
