I sighed as I continued to sweep the remaining dust on the floor and into the pail. It was a beautiful Spring day; all the flowers in the garden began to wake up from their slumber, the weather was warm but not too warm, and there was not a single cloud in the sky. It felt like such a waste to be cooped up in a bathroom when I could be running around and smelling flowers.

"Hey, Y/n-San~you're daydreaming again!" I shifted my gaze to a certain ghost boy. His amber orbs were drawn closer together in a mischievous sort of way. His lips were firmly pressed together and perked up at the end.

"You should just leave her alone, Hanako-Kun. It's too much of a pretty day to be stuck inside a bathroom cleaning toilets that probably haven't been used in years," My eye gaze averted to my other best friend, Yashiro. She looked up at Hanako with annoyance.

"It's okay, Yashiro! I'm just glad that we are able to hang out together, even if it is in a bathroom," I smiled. I went back to my dust pile and swept the remaining particles in the pan. I bent down and picked the pan up. I then proceeded to throw the dirt away in the trash can.

"There I am done! So what do you guys want to-" I paused and looked up at Hanako and Yashiro. They were arguing about the proper way to eat an Oreo.

"No Hanako! You have to eat the frosting first and then eat the cookies!" Yashiro argued. He shook his head profusely.

"You really don't understand Yashiro, Oreo's are supposed to be eaten whole! Not to be dissected piece by piece by someone with daikon legs!" Her face grew a bit pink at the mention of the name 'daikon legs'.

I laughed at their friendly bickering. It was almost like watching an old married couple. I felt a sudden, sharp pain in my chest area. I dropped my pail and slumped to the floor in a fetal position. Hanako grew silent.

"Y/n-San..?" Tears welled in my eyes as I tried to speak. Any words I tried to form came out as coughs. My body jerked up and down. It was painful, so painful. It was almost like a crown of thorns surrounded my lungs.

Hanako and Yashiro ran towards me and knelt down. "Are you okay Y/n-Chan?" Yashiro cried. I simply shook my head. Hanako grabbed my hand and gently intertwined our fingers together. I looked up at him and saw his face full of concern. He lowered himself to the floor and propped me up against his chest. "You will be okay, Y/n. Everything is okay. Just take a slow deep breath, like this." He inhaled slowly and then exhaled at the same speed.

I tried to copy his movements, but it caused the thorns in my lungs to prick. I winced as I tried to hold in my cough. This little exercise went on for a few more minutes until I was able to breathe normally again. "Are you sure you are okay? You didn't tell me you had asthma!" Yashiro stated.

"I don't know what happened. I have never been diagnosed with asthma before," I replied. It was the truth. I have never experienced pain so tremendous before. We both looked at Hanako since he was being oddly quiet.

"Is something wrong Hanako-Kun?" I inquired. He glanced up and smiled gently.

"I'm fine. I got a little worried was all!" His hand reached for my cheek. He held it there for a few seconds, his eyes scanning my face. I couldn't help but blush at the sudden interaction. He brushed away a strand of hair covering my eyes and carefully tucked it behind my ear.

"Are you sure you are okay?" He asked again, seriously. In my mind, I wanted to say no. The thorny prick was still there surrounding my lungs, but I wasn't coughing. I said yes anyway. Hanako grinned.

"Well, in that case, you guy should probably get going. It's going to get dark soon and I don't want to keep you here forever!" He backed away and turned over to Yashiro. She was busy packing away the cleaning supplies back in the closet.
