Hanako's pov
I watched as Suigetsu and Kisame clashed again.
"You're out of time to kill."
We all looked around and saw a huge flytrap looking thing coming out of the ground.
"Zetsu."
"I wasn't just killing time, you know," Suigetsu huffed.
"So it's over?" Kisame asked.
"Yeah, it's finished," the Zetsu guy said.
"What about Sasuke?" I asked.
"He's safe. Sasuke won," he replied.
"Where is he?"
"He was immediately evacuated to a secure location."
"A secure location?" I asked, doubtful.
"Akatsuki's hideout to the east," he said. "You guys should head over there too. Soon, Konoha will be crawling all over this area."
"Let's go to where Sasuke is," Juugo said, immediately.
Sasuke's pov
"To him, your life was far more precious than even the village he gave everything up for. Up until his death... no, even in his dying breath, he was thinking of you in order to give you a new power. He did it so that when he fell by your hand, the Uchiha clan's enemy would be defeated, and you would be praised as a hero in Konoha.
"Plagued by disease, and sensing that his time of death was drawing closer, he used medicine to forcibly prolong his life. All for the sake of his beloved brother... He had to fight you. He had to die before your eyes."
What he was saying couldn't be true... but it had to be.
No. It was all a lie. Of course it was.
"Forgive me, Sasuke. This is the last time."
I closed my eyes as the truth began to sink in.
Itachi... He suffered so much, because of Konoha.
Hanako's pov
We reached the hideout around midafternoon.
A man in an orange mask greeted us.
"Sasuke is inside. He's been awake for a while now. He's injured, but he'll heal."
Sasuke was sitting against the wall when we went in.
He looked like he was lost in thought.
A moment later, he stood up.
"Here's some clothes, Sasuke," the masked man said.
Sasuke accepted them silently.
The rest of us went outside to wait for him.
We all sat there without saying a word.
The waves splashed against the rocks, loudly.
The knot inside my stomach tightened.
Why was a masked man from the Akatsuki helping us?
Sasuke's pov
After changing, I stood in the hideout silently for a while.
Tobi's words were stuck in my mind.
"For the sake of Konoha's peace... And above it all, for your sake, Uchiha Sasuke, he wished to die as a criminal... a traitor.
"Honor as compensation for dishonor... Hatred in exchange for love... And still, Itachi died with a smile on his face. He entrusted the Uchiha name to you, his brother, while at the same time deceiving you forever."
Hanako's pov
After a while, Sasuke finally came out of the hideout.
He stood at the edge of the rock, next to the sea.
The only thing you could hear was the sound of waves crashing against the rocks.
The knot in my stomach tightened even more.
I heard another sound.
I looked up at Sasuke's back.
I couldn't see it, but I knew he was crying.
He began talking, "We've shed the name 'Hebi'... From now on, we will act under the name, 'Taka'... Taka has but one goal."
My heart stopped at what he said next.
"We will... destroy Konoha!"
