Hanako's pov
I was sitting in the main room of the hideout when Tobi walked in.
"Hanako, I need to to talk to you," he said.
I followed him into one of the other rooms.
"What is it?" I asked him.
"What did you tell the Hokage when you left the village?" He asked.
I raised my eyebrows.
"How do you know that I told her I was leaving?"
"There wasn't a fuss when you left. If you had just left without saying anything, there'd be a huge fuss and there'd be ninja searching for you right now."
"I told her that I was going on vacation. She gave me two years."
He stared at me with his one eye.
"Two years? That's quite a bit of time isn't it?"
"Yeah. I was surprised too."
"Hmm."
He stood there silently as if he'd forgotten I was there.
I began to rock back and forth on my feet uncomfortably.
Finally, he spoke up again.
"I'd like for you to stay here whenever Sasuke goes out."
I stopped rocking.
"Excuse me?"
He sighed and continued, "If people from the other countries recognize you, there will most likely be a huge fuss and Konoha will send people after you."
"I don't care they come after me. They can't take me back there against my will. They're not strong enough to anyway."
"That's true. In fact, I forgot to tell you something."
"What?" I said, glaring at his masked face.
"Konoha was destroyed by Pain, or rather Nagato. But Naruto stopped him from doing anything else."
I froze.
"The village was destroyed?!"
"Don't panic," he continued. "All the people who died were brought back to life, unfortunately. Nagato brought them back."
I breathed a little more freely after I hearing that.
"Not that it matters much. Sasuke will destroy the village himself."
"Anyways, back to what we were talking about earlier. I'm not going to stay here while Sasuke leaves."
"If they send people after you, it'll not only be a hindrance to you, but to Sasuke. How will you keep your promise, then?"
I was about to reply when a voice interrupted our conversation.
"He's right, Hanako."
I turned to see Sasuke leaning on the door frame.
"But-"
"You promised you'd help me. A way to be helpful is to not be a hindrance toward my goal."
"I-Fine," I said, defeated.
I walked out of the room and made my way outside the hideout once more.
I climbed up a tree and sat on the second lowest branch.
Sasuke had changed.
Not only physically, but mentally as well.
I'd noticed when I first saw him again, but I chose to ignore it, hoping that he'd eventually be that same boy from three years ago.
How naive I was then.
When he left the village, I promised him that I'd help him somehow because I hoped that I'd be able to bring him back to the village.
I'm beginning to lose all that hope now.
Now there is only one thing that I can do.
And that is, kill him.
I'm not strong enough to kill him without killing myself in the process.
And I'm fine with that.
The village can move on without me.
I'd never be able to move on if Sasuke died.
And so it's a good thing that I'll die in the process of killing him.
It hurts me when I see him now.
He's a victim of the darkness of revenge.
I don't want him to be hurt anymore.
I want to spare him of any more pain.
And that's why I have to kill him.

Hi guys!So this is kind of a boring chapter. It's mostly just Hanako's thoughts on what's happening and what might happen.
But nonetheless, I hope you all like it!
Have a great day/night!~Kelly ^.^
