Chapter twenty-four...

3rd Person's P.O.V.

     Y/n walks into Gaara's room. It's a nice room, he's a minimalist.

"So, what do you want to do?" Gaara asks.

"I don't know. Sleep. It's getting pretty late."

"Right. Um, where do you want to sleep?"

"I would assume we would be sleeping in the same bed." Gaara's eyes widen.

"Right. Lemme just go to the bathroom really quick." Y/n nods and he runs off.

     Gaara locks the door and turns on the faucet. He splashed some water in his face and whispers a pep talk to himself. He brushes his teeth and hair, trying to look better, then puts on his best pajamas.

"Maybe this is her way of telling me she likes me. Regular girls don't just sleep in the same bed as their male friends. Yes, she must like me. I know, I'll hug here when where laying down and if she hugs me back she likes me back." Gaara nods.

     He goes to his room and sees Y/n already changed just sitting on the bed. He sits down next to her and she leaves to go to the bathroom. She needed to brush her hair and teeth too, she also needed to wash her face. But Gaara was panicking.

'Does that mean she hates me? No, she's just brushing her teeth. I wonder if I ask if she'll show me her face. If she does, she likes me, and if she hugs me back, then she loves me like I love her. No!' He smacks himself. 'I only love myself. Y/n is just a crush.' Y/n comes back in.

"Y/n."

"Hm?"

"Can I see your face?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"I'm ugly."

"I don't think you're ugly."

"How can you know you haven't seen my face."

"You have a nice personality. So that makes you pretty."

"I guess I could show you my face. But if I do you can't stop being friends with me just because I'm ugly."

"I promise." Y/n walks over to him and pulls her mask off her face.

     Gaara's eyes go even wider than before. He just sits there, not saying a word. They both just stare at each other. Y/n pulls her mask back up. She climbs into bed and pulls the sheets over her.

"Good night." She turns off the light. He looks over at her and gets into bed.

     He lays next to her and waits for the right moment. He tries to subtly hug her, but he wasn't very good at it. Y/n sighed and pulled him in for a hug.

'She loves me!' Gaara was smiling and celebrating in his head.

'He's like Naruto.' Y/n was thinking about how Naruto would always hug her in his sleep whenever they had sleepovers.

     They fell asleep, Gaara happy Y/n loves him, and Y/n not really thinking about much. Around midnight Temari grabs onto Gaara's door handle and turns it. She smirks when she sees it's unlocked. Temari sneaks in and looks at the two, she almost squeals but holds it in. There it was, Y/n and Gaara, cuddling. She runs out of the room as quickly and quietly as possible.

"Oh my god! Gaara and Y/n are cuddling!" Temari whisper shouts at Chino. He jumps up off of the couch.

"What?! No, that's unacceptable." He's about to storm upstairs, but Temari stops him.

"Hold up, you can't stop them, that was your own rule." Chino groans and falls to his knees.

"Why did I make that stupid rule?"

"I'm going to be right back." Temari runs off and grabs a camera, she runs up stairs and takes pictures of Y/n and Gaara.

     She runs back downstairs and shows them to Chino. He frowns and crosses his arms. Temari laughs in his face. He tries to take the camera from her, she just extends her arm farther and farther away from his reach.

"For a dude, you've got some short arms." Temari laughs.

"More like you have super long arms. What are you, part giant or something?" She glares at her.

The next morning Gaara wakes up to Y/n in his arms. He smiles and holds her closer. She yawns and he pokes her cheek. Y/n makes a face, she has her mask on, but he can tell. He hooks his finger on her mask and pulls it down.

'She's even more beautiful in the sunlight.' Gaara pulls her mask back up and gets out of the bed.

He goes to his bathroom and gets ready for the day. Y/n wakes up while Gaara is showering, she goes downstairs and decides to make him a small breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, fruits, toast, bagels, and so much more filled the table. Everybody comes into the kitchen. Y/n smacks their hands away.

'Only for Gaara.' They read the note.

Temari is annoyed but happy. Annoyed she can't eat the food, and happy that her ship is working. Gaara comes downstairs and sees all of the food. Y/n sees him and pulls him into a seat.

'Eat, it's for you.' She goes upstairs so that she can get ready for the day.

Chino sits down at the table and stares at Gaara as he eats. Gaara ignores him and continues to eat. Chino gives Gaara the stink eye, he's trying so hard that he'a humming while staring at Gaara.

"What?" Gaara finally gives in.

"What are you planning on doing to my precious Y/n?"

"Marry her." He hears Temari squeal from the other room.

"Look here you little shit, Y/n doesn't need you. She is an independent little girl who doesn't need a man. A woman could be her perfect fit. How do you know she even likes you?"

"She has admitted her love for me."

"What?" Chino screeches. Temari comes into the room.

"Hell yeah!"

"When?!"

"Last night." He was referring to Y/n cuddling with him.

"What did you do?!" He screams.

"Stuff."

"Where?!"

"In my bed." Gaara was making it sound ten times worse then what actually happened.

Chino was passed out, foaming from the mouth. Temari was smirking like a mad woman, and Kankuro was totally confused on what was happening, but happy for Gaara. Y/n comes down, Chino magically wakes up and runs over to her.

"Did you have intimate time with Gaara?!" He's holding onto her arms, shaking her.

"What? Why?"

"Because, you need to end up with an amazing person," he coughs, "hopefully woman," he coughs again, "that can treat you right!" Temari bumps into him with her shoulder.

"Stop trying to ruin this!" She drags Chino and Kankuro out of the room.

"Do you know what that was about?" Y/n asks Gaara.

"No idea." Y/n hums and sits down. Gaara makes Y/n a plate and they eat breakfast together. "You spoke in front of Temari and Kankuro."

"Hm, I guess I did. Do you know any good ramen places we could go to?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I want to get good ramen from every village for Naruto."

'Why is she thinking about other guys? Does she not live me anymore? Should I be more cautious of Naruto? Yes, he is a love interest. Y/n should see me as the only man in her life. I must provide for her.' Gaara has a whole conversation with himself in his head as he eats.

"Are you okay?" Y/n noticed Gaara's weird behavior.

"Yeah." Gaara gives a faint smile.
