Chapter forty...

3rd Person's P.O.V.

     Y/n woke up and felt off. She didn't know why. Y/n got out of bed and took a shower trying to get her mind off of the weird feeling. It didn't work. She walked over to Kane's room. He was in there sleeping and snoring. He's there. But it felt like somebody was missing. She knew that Sakura left. Her eyes widened. She ran out of her house and to Naruto's. He wasn't there.

     Kane heard the door shut and woke up. He knew Y/n finally realized that Naruto had been gone. He sighed and got up. He went to the hospital. And there Y/n was standing at Naruto's door. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in.

"Y/n-"

"Why?"

"Why, what?"

"Why did he leave with out telling me? Not a single note any where either."

"He's probably on a mission."

"Mm." It was killing Kane. Y/n spoke in a whisper. She didn't want to believe he would just leave her. Kane grabbed her shoulder.

"Hey, I'm sure he'll be back."

"How do you know? Last time he set off for Sasuke he had a fully capable team. Now all he has is Sakura."

"Hey, Naruto is a capable kid."

"Sakura always gets in his way. Whenever he tries to do anything Sakura finds some way to get in his way. Either trying to stop him from fighting or make him fight for the wrong damn reasons."

"Jiraiya is gone too. So he probably went with. He's a legendary Sanin. He'll be safe. And maybe he'll even make sure Sakura stays out of the way."

"Why, why does he always choose her over me?"

"I don't know." Y/n hummed.

"Never mind. It doesn't matter." Y/n got something caught in her throat. This was the first time ever. She felt like crying. She looked over at Kane. "Are you gonna leave me for somebody else too?" Kane hugged Y/n.

"Of course not. I will never ever leave you. Don't even think like that. You have so many people in this village who care for you! And people outside of the village too! Who cares if Naruto went off on one measly little mission without telling you? You have Ino."

"She's probably gonna leave me for Sasuke once he gets back."

"If! If he gets back. And no she won't. Ino isn't like that."

"How do you know that? For all I know she just wants to get close to me so that when Naruto's comes back with Sasuke Naruto will remember that she was nice to me and make Sasuke hang out with her."

"Y/n! Don't say that!"

"How do you know?! Nobody in this village actually likes me! You didn't even show up until almost a year ago! Why weren't you there!? Why didn't you appear when I needed family! Why did you just come into my life?! It's because you found some use for me! You don't actually care about me!" A tear fell from Y/n's eye. Kane hugged Y/n even harder.

"Don't say stuff like that. I wasn't able to come before because the third Hokage would've had me killed if he knew I came back to the village. I came when I did because I knew you needed somebody. I'm here so that you can become stronger. So that you'll be able to fulfill your goals. Whether that be to help Naruto or to become the best Shinobi this damn village has ever seen. I came because there was no Hokage. Nobody to force me out. Nobody to keep me away from you. Okay?"

"You're a liar. Nobody cares for me. Not even you. Your stupid words mean nothing to me. You're just here to train me. So let go of me." Y/n was completely calm. Her eyes weren't teary. The tear was gone. She didn't feel like crying anymore. She made Kane let go of her.
