Chapter forty-nine...

3rd Person's P.O.V.

Y/n looked around. It was weird. Something seemed off about the house. She looked at Kane, he looked away.

"Did you kill Jon-!"

"Yes."

"Okay."

"Well, glad that's over with." Kane was glad and bit surprised that Y/n didn't care but he also wasn't sure how she'd react.

"Alright, so this is like our new vacation house?"

"Yeah."

"Okay. Sounds cool."

"Yup." It was awkward. Kane had a feeling something was off with Y/n. "So, are you feeling homesick?"

"No. Die."

'What the fuck. Something is definitely wrong with her.' Kane stared at Y/n. He tried to look into her eyes but she kept looking away.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing."

"Liar."

"Stank bitch."

"Mhmmmmmmm."

"What?"

"Nothing. Do you want to train today or tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow."

"Why?"

"Cause I'm tired."

"Mhm."

'Y/n would rather die than admit that she's tired. Something is definitely wrong. I've seen her train until she was physically unable to. And she still kept going. Some fucking how.'

"I'm going to bed." Y/n ran off.

Being completely honest Kane had not planned out any training. He didn't think Y/n would go with him. He felt like he knew her well enough to where anything Naruto would do she would defend. He was pleasantly surprised. He thought about what would be best for Y/n.

'I shouldn't have ruined her relationship with Naruto. But if I didn't then I would have to kill her. But then again death is better than being in the Akatsuki. She isn't going to be able to be with any of her friends. Ino, Gaara, maybe Shikamaru I don't know though. She's only twelve she shouldn't have to worry about those things. Oh my god! Y/n's birthday is coming up!'

Kane forgot about Y/n's friends and ran out of the house. He ran around town looking for something to get Y/n for her birthday. He couldn't find anything. He killed a few people and searched them for something of value.

"God dammit! I hate poor people!" The entire town was worthless. 'If I leave town for like an hour or so to go to a different village and get her something she wouldn't mind right? No one is going to be able to subdue her. And she can live without me I bet if I was killed right now she would be able to not only survive but thrive.'

Kane left with Blubby to go get Y/n a present from a different village. Y/n heard Kane leave. Whatever, she needed to go to sleep. She heard the window open. She was on alert, pretending to be asleep she waited on the intruder to come into her room. The intruder was male, she figured it out through his voice, he had cursed when he stubbed his toe on something. Y/n wanted to roll her eyes, she gets that it's dark, but if you're going to intrude then at least be stealthy and aware of your surroundings.

The door opened and the steps were light. They creeped towards Y/n's bed. The male reached out to touch Y/n. As soon and he did she grabbed him, threw him onto the bed, and straddled his back, she twisted his arm and was about to kill him.
