Chapter 2

Lucas’s POV

I rolled over and cringed in pain instantly. “Lucas, be careful.” Lily said walking in with a tray of food. She helped me sit up and placed the tray on my lap. “Hey, is Robin coming over today?” I asked. “I don’t know. Juliet and her I think flew out to see her dad and the guys on tour. Andy really missed them.” She said. I pouted. “You really should ask her out. I know you like her.” She said. “Then you should ask out Tyler.” I said. She groaned. I laughed and I heard someone coming up the stairs. “Get out of my way Purdy. In your dreams Biersack.” I heard. Lily smiled and went to get them. “Hey Lucas.” Robin said sitting next to me. “Hi Robin. I’ve missed you.” I said. “I’ve missed you too. It was brave of you for standing up for Lily.” She said. “I love my sister. I would do anything for her.”  I said. She smiled and hugged me. I looked up into her eyes and smiled. I love Robin Journey Biersack and I am way to chicken to tell her. “So Brad asked me out.” She said nervously. “Oh, what did you say?” I asked. “I told him I liked someone else. I just don’t know if this certain guy likes me.” She said looking at me. “Robin, feel free to say no but would you like to go out with me? I know we are only young but I really like you.” I said rubbing the back of my neck. She looked at me and smiled. “I would really like that Lucas.” She said kissing me lightly. I smiled and kissed her back. “FINALLY!” Lily screamed. Robin blushed and I held her with my good arm. “Robin Journey Biersack Torres. It has a nice ring to it.” Lily said sitting on the bed. “So does Lillian Rose Torres Purdy.” I said back to her. Tyler and hers face instantly went red. Robin and I laughed our heads off. “Hey Lily, can you tell dad to not come up for a couple hours.” I said. She nodded and headed out of the room. “Would you like to watch a movie?” I asked. Her eyes widened. “Can we pretty please watch Frozen?” she asked. I groaned. “Please Lucas.” She said batting her eyelashes. “Fine but only because you asked so nicely.” I said kissing her cheek. She giggled and went to put it in the DVD player. Robin rested her head on my shoulder and I wrapped my cast around her shoulder. We watched the movie and sang along well she made me sing along. We finished the movie and she had to leave due to dance class. “Don’t push yourself too hard.” I said kissing her forehead. “I won’t. We don’t need two broken people.” She said. I laughed. I walked her down to the door. “Bye Robin.” I said. “Bye Lucas.” She said starting to leave. “Wait, I forgot something.” She said running back to me. I looked at her confused. She kissed me and I smiled. “Bye.” She said. I giggled and shut the door. “Lucas has a girlfriend.” My grandpa Jayy yelled. I cupped my hand over his mouth. “What was that?” My dad asked walking into the room. I begged my grandpa to be silent with my eyes but no of course he can’t keep his big mouth shut. He took my hand off his mouth. “Lucas, this fantastic handsome boy right here, has a girlfriend.” He said. My dad looked at me shocked. “It’s Robin isn’t it?” he asked. I started blushing like crazy. “Ashley owes me twenty bucks.” He said. I looked at him confused. “We had a bet going on who she would date. I said you and he said Tyler. Well I know one hundred percent Tyler and Lily will be together and I love you so I obviously bet on you.” My dad said. I shook my head. “Where is Lily?” I asked. “Tyler and she went off to the park for a while before it gets dark. “Is Uncle Aiden coming home for Lily’s birthday?” I asked. “I don’t know yet sport.” My grandpa said patting my head. I am so close with Aiden and Lily is close with Aussie. Aiden is in college in Florida and I hate that I can’t see him every day. I sighed and went up to my room to start my homework.

Tyler’s POV

“Push me higher.” Lily giggled as I pushed her on the swing. “No, I don’t want you to fall off and get hurt.” I said back. I watched as her beautiful hair blew in the wind. I am so in love with this girl and it is going to be the death of me. Axel Thayer called dibs on her though so I wasn’t going to back stab one of my friends. He is actually quite the player like my dad used to be when he was young. It worries me that Lily could get hurt and I would never want that to happen to her. I lost focus on Lily and saw her start to jump off the swing. I caught he by the waist and she pouted. “You ruined it.” She said. “Well I wouldn’t want you to hurt those pretty little legs of yours.” I said. She smiled and kissed my cheek. We walked around the park and found Ganja. He is Mod Sun’s daughter and I don’t like her very much. Lily smiled and ran over to her. Of course she is smoking up and Lily will join her too. I sighed and walked over to them. “Hey guys.” Ganja said hugging us. I will definitely here about this from my mom when I get home. “I have to be getting home.” I said scratching the back of my neck. “Suit yourself.” Ganja said sitting back down. “Please don’t leave.” Lily said holding my hand. “I have to. My mom wanted me home early.” I said. “I will walk you then.” She said. “You don’t have to.” I said. “Please, Ty.” She said. I nodded and we began walking back to my house. We passed a guy playing a piano. I smiled and twirled Lily around. He was playing an old song from my parents’ wedding called Turning Page. Lily laughed and danced with me. I sang along with the song and Lily rested her head on my chest. I am seriously falling for this girl. The song finished and she smiled up at me. “Lily, I have something to tell you.” I said. She looked at me concerned. “Lily, I really like having you as my best friend.” I said chickening out of what I was really going to say. “I like having you as my best friend too.” She said as we continued to walk home. We got to my house and we walked in. “Lily!” Lacey yelled running over to hug Lily. “Hi beautiful.” She said hugging Lacey back. Lacey pulled Lily into the house and I laughed. My mom came over and hugged me. She glared at me. “It was Ganja, I swear mom. You know I would never smoke.” I said. She nodded and kissed my forehead. “Did you tell her?” she asked. “No, I chickened out.” I said. “Tyler, you are a Purdy. I know you can tell her.” She said. “Thanks mom, I wish dad was here for advice.” I said. “Well he will be home tomorrow.” She said. I smiled and hugged her tightly. “Oh and I already know you or Lily will probably ask so yes you can stay the night over there.” She said. I laughed. “You are the best mom.” I said hugging her. “I know.” She said. I went and packed a bag full of things. “Mommy, I want to go have a sleepover with the big kids.” I heard Lacey whine. I laughed and picked up my bag. I walked downstairs and saw Lily holding a crying Lacey. “We can have a sleepover another night. I promise.” Lily said calming her down. Lacey nodded and wiped away her tears. “I love you, Lily.” She said. I smiled and realized how good of a mom she is going to be when she gets older. Damn, I need to quiet my thoughts. “Ready to go?” Lily asked me shaking me out of my thoughts. I nodded and we walked back to her house after I hugged Lacey goodbye. We got inside and found Jeffree chasing Tattoo around the house with Dahvie and Jayy’s help. “What is going on? Why are you chasing my dog?” Lily screamed. “Well, she kind of has eaten something she shouldn’t of so we have to take her to the vet.” Dahvie said. Lily glared at him. “Come here, baby.” Lily said getting down on her knees. Tattoo trotted over to her. “She doesn’t swallow if it isn’t food.” Lily said reaching into the dog’s mouth. She pulled out a wedding ring. “I will take that.” Jeffree said placing it back on his finger. “You probably should’ve washed it.” I said. Jeffree rolled his eyes and headed into the kitchen. “Dad, we’re going up to my room.” Lily said picking up Tattoo. “Keep the door open.” He said as we headed up the stairs. Lily laughed and we reached her room. She placed Tattoo on her doggy bed and jumped onto her bed. “Tyler, Axel asked me out. Should I give him a shot? I mean what if it ruins our friendship. I couldn’t handle that.” She said. “Well some relationships are worth the risk.” I said sitting on the bed across from her looking her in the eye. “I am scared to take risks and you know that.” She said. I held her hands. “Lily, any guy would be lucky for you to take a risk for them and if you are not ready let him know.” I said. She nodded and looked up at me. “You are always so helpful. Thank you.” She said going in to kiss my cheek. This is my shot. I need to tell her before she talks to Axel. I moved my face and our lips touched.

Lily’s POV

The touching of our lips paralyzed me. He placed a hand on my cheek and I kissed him back. I love him. I don’t want to date Axel. I just want Tyler. We separated. “Wow.” I said blushing. “I want to take a risk, Lily. I want to date you and I don’t care if it goes up in flames. I can at least say I tried because Lily, I have liked you for the longest time and I don’t know what I would ever do without you.” Tyler said holding my hands up to his face kissing them. I smiled and climbed into his lap. “I would like that very much.” I said. I snuggled my head into his chest and he kissed my head. “I CALLED IT!” I heard my dad screamed. I screamed scared and fell onto the floor. “I knew it. Where is my phone? I need to call Autumn and Ashley.” My dad said running downstairs. I groaned and Tyler helped me off the ground. “Some days, I really want to punch him.” I said. Tyler laughed and held me in his arms. “What was dad screaming about?” Lucas walked in. I smiled and kissed Tyler. “Ty, I love you man, I do but break her heart. I will break your face.” Lucas said. “I thought we covered this about last year.” Tyler said. “I am just reminding you.” Lucas said. I smiled. I love having normal family moments in this crazy house. I just wish my mom were here so I could tell her all about it. I miss her so much. Why did she have to leave us?
