Chapter 12

Lily's POV

I haven't really left Tyler's side much since we found out why I've been sick. My surgery is today and I'm scared that I might not wake up or if my night terrors happen and I can't wake up to get away from them. "Lily, did you hear me?" my mom asked. I looked at her and shook my head no. "Your father and I will be waiting right here in your room and we will be right here when you wake up." My mom said kissing my head. I nodded and looked at the IV. I wanted this needle out of me now but nope that won't happen. "Lillian." Ty said softly. I looked over at him. "I will be right here. I am not leaving. I love you so much." He said kissing me softly. I sniffled and he wiped away my tears. "You will be alright. Please don't cry Lily. I hate seeing you cry. You are a strong girl and I know you will make it through this." He said. I nodded and kissed his hand. He stroked my hair calming me down. "Hey Tyler, thanks for loving and taking care of my daughter." I heard my dad say. "There is nothing else I would love to do." Tyler said. I smiled then my nurse came to get me. She got my bed ready to go. "Could I walk with her to the operation room please?" Tyler asked nicely. "Sure thing. I'm sure she would love that." The nurse said. I smiled because I really would. The nurse started rolling me down the hall and Tyler held my hand. We stopped outside the room. "Lily, I will be right in your room waiting for you. I love you." He said kissing me. I kissed him back and the nurse wheeled me in. "You are such a lucky girl to have a boyfriend who loves you so much." She said. "Thank you. He's my best friend." I said. She smiled and rubbed my arm. "I promise we will have you in and out of here in no time." She said. I thanked her and she slowly had me count back from ten as she put the anesthesia mask on me. I slowly counted back and was knocked out before I got to four. I laid there and all I saw is darkness. "Mommy!" I heard a little girl yell. I looked over to where the voice came from and a little girl came running over to me. She jumped up into my arms and hugged me. I hugged her back. "Thank you mommy for being the best mommy ever. I love you." She said nuzzling her head into my neck. "I love you too." I said to the little girl. "Clarissa, how many times have I said not to run away from me?" Tyler said. "Sorry daddy but I get so excited when I see mommy." She said. "I know baby. I feel the same way." Tyler said kissing me. I was shocked. Here I was holding my baby girl and Tyler was here with me. I felt something pull me from them. "I will see you in a few years mommy." Clarissa said kissing my cheek. She jumped down and ran to Tyler. I felt groggy. "Lily." I heard a voice whisper. "Tyler." I whispered. "I am right here baby. You surgery went well. They were waiting for you to wake up so we could get your results." He said. "Please turn off the light." I said. I felt his hand leave mine and I heard him walk somewhere. The lights went off and I opened my eyes better. "I've missed you." I said taking in his appearance. "You've been out for only six hours." He said. I looked at him in horror. "I'm happy you are awake now though. Your parents and Lucas went to go talk to your doctor to see how your surgery went but we are all waiting for you to be awake for the results of the tumors." He said. "Ty, I want to have a baby." I said. "One day I promise you we can have a baby. I really don't want your dad killing me for getting you pregnant." He said. I giggled and kissed his hand. He leaned down and kissed me softly. "I missed those gorgeous brown eyes." He said. "I've missed your handsome brown eyes too." I said. My parents walked back in and my mom ran right over hugging me. "Hi baby." She said kissing my head. "Hi mom." I said. My dad came over and kissed my head. "Hey loser." Lucas said. "Hi weirdo." I said. He chuckled and hugged me. "What did my doctor say?" I asked. "You are recovering well. You should be able to leave tomorrow or the day after." My mom said. I nodded. My doctor came in and my mom wrapped her arms around me. "Well Lily, we got out the tumor out. We got it tested and it is benign but we do want you to come back twice a year to get ultrasounds to make sure it doesn't grow back. We got all of it out so it should not grow back but we want to take extra precautions to make sure it doesn't." she said. I nodded. My mom had tears in her eyes and kissed my head. My doctor left and my mom squished me. "I am so happy you are okay. I love you so much." She said. I smiled and hugged her back. "Hey baby, I am gonna head home so you can have some time with your family." Tyler said. I nodded and kissed him. He kissed back and left. "I still want to kick his butt some days because he is dating you." Lucas said. "I know and thank you for being an awesome brother." I said. "It's the least I could do for you." He said.
