Chapter 11

Lily's POV

I got in trouble for sneaking out of the house to go sleep at Tyler's a few weeks ago but I managed to get my way and not get punished. "Babe!" Tyler yelled. I smiled and looked up. I saw Tyler running down the hallway towards me. He picked me up once he reached me and spun me around. He kissed me lightly and I blushed. "Hi." I said. "I missed your beautiful face." He said kissing my cheeks. "What has gotten into you?" I asked. "Nothing, we're graduating within two months and I have this beautiful girlfriend who I get to live with when we go off to college." He said. "Speaking of which, I think I am just gonna go to cosmetology school. I don't think I will be able to go to a real college." I said. "No, you have to go. I know you can do it and you will be the best psychologist." He said. I smiled and he interlaced my fingers with his. "May I escort you to lunch?" he asked. "Yes, you may." I said. We walked to the cafeteria and sat down with our friends. "I'm gonna miss seeing you guys next year." Robin said. "Hey, at least you will have Lucas here." I said. "Yeah, but I am losing one of my best girlfriends." She said. "Hey, you can come visit me all the time. I promise nothing will change between us." I said hugging her. She nodded and held me tight. We finished lunch and went about our day. Me doing my best to ignore Brad. I headed off to work after school and dealt with my family coming in for dinner. "Seriously, every time I work you all come in." I said. "We love you." My grandpa Jayy said. I leaned down and kissed his cheek. I took their order and placed it. I felt my stomach churn a little. I guess high school lunch is not agreeing with me. I felt like I was going to hurl. I covered my mouth and made a beeline for the bathroom. I shut the door and threw myself into one of the stalls throwing up. "Sweetheart, are you alright?" I heard a voice asked. I wiped my mouth and wiped away my tears. It was my grandpa Jeffree. "No, I just threw up." I cried. He got down next to me and helped clean me up. "Honey, it is alright. Let's go tell your boss and get you home." He said. I nodded. Grandpa Jeffree took me home while I insisted everyone stay to eat. I put on my PJs and climbed into bed. My grandpa laid next to me and held me. "I'm scared." I said. "Why? It is just some stomach bug." He said. "My period is late." I said starting to tear up again. "Oh sweetheart." He said. I sobbed into his chest and he rubbed my back. "I think your mother has a pregnancy test in the house. Want me to get it?" he asked. I nodded still crying. He ran out of the room to go get it. He came back and handed it to me. I headed into the bathroom and peed on the stick. I placed it on the counter and waited. The timer went off and I was scared to look. "Want me to look?" my grandpa asked. I nodded. He looked at it and sighed. "It says you aren't but you should go to a doctor to double check." He said. I nodded. "I will do that tomorrow after school." I said. He nodded and kissed my forehead. "You need to get some sleep." He said. I nodded. "No sneaking out now." He said. "Well, then I am just gonna go." I said. "Seriously, one night away from him." He said. "Please, let me go to Tyler's." I said. "Fine but don't tell him until you know for sure." He said. I nodded and grabbed my school stuff and clothes for tomorrow. I got in my car and drove to Tyler's.

Tyler's POV

"You think she will say yes mom?" I asked. "Of course, why wouldn't she say yes? Plus I want to take so many prom pictures of you two." She said. "I know you do." I said. "Dad, when can you get the fireworks by?" I asked. "Probably some time tomorrow and you can ask her this weekend." He said. I nodded. I heard a knock at the front door and went to get it. I opened it and smiled. "Hi." I said. "Hey, I came for cuddles." She said. I chuckled. "Hey Lily." My mom said smiling. "Hi." She said. I let her in and shut the door. "I am going to leave you two alone. Try not to be late for school tomorrow." She said. We nodded and headed up to my room. "I'm sick and I need cuddles." She whined. "Come here baby." I said. I hugged her and kissed her head. She crawled into my bed while I put on my PJs. I put on her favorite movie Pretty in Pink. "I love this movie." She said. "I know you do." I said smiling. "Could you come to the doctors with me tomorrow after school?" she asked me nervously. "Of course, anything for you." I said kissing her head. "You know I love you right?" she said. "Of course, I know that. I will never forget that ever." I said kissing her. "My period is late." She said. "Okay, well you are going to the doctor tomorrow and we will figure this out. There is no need to panic." I said even though I am mentally freaking out that there is a possibility she could be pregnant. "Ty, I am so scared." She whimpered. "Everything will be alright baby. I will stick by your side no matter what." I said. She nodded and fell asleep. I held her close and fell asleep myself. "Daddy, come push me on the swings." A little girl said pulling my hand. I smiled. "Slow down sweetheart." I said scooping her up. I plopped her down on the swing and pushed her. "Higher daddy higher." She giggled. I pushed her higher and she jumped off the swing. I caught her in my arms and kissed her forehead. "I love you daddy." She said. "I love you too sweetheart." I said. I woke up in a cold sweat. Pretty In Pink was still on the screen and Lily was still asleep. I rested my hand on her stomach. "I promise sweetheart if you are there. I will do anything to make you happy. I will give you the world." I whispered and kissed her stomach lightly. I slowly fell back asleep. I woke up and Lily was in the shower. I got dressed for school and headed downstairs to find my dad making breakfast. "Do me a favor and hit me." I said. He shrugged his shoulders and punched me hard. "Thanks." I said. "Now why did I do that?" he asked. "Promise not to tell mom until I get home from school." I said. He groaned. "Fine but I hate keeping secrets from her." He whined. "Lily's period is late and we are going to the doctors after school." I said. "That doesn't necessarily mean she is pregnant you know but I am glad you are not letting her go alone. I raised you well except for the small possibility she could be pregnant." He said. "Remember no telling mom until we find out what is going on." I said. My dad nodded and handed me eggs and toast. "Thanks dad." I said. "No problem bud." He said. Lily came down and my dad handed her breakfast. She silently ate and I rubbed her knee under the table. She smiled at me weakly. I took our dishes to the sink and we headed to school. I could tell halfway through the day Lily didn't really want to be here. "Do you want to leave?" I asked. "I do but they will call my parents." She said. "I'm sorry." I said kissing her cheek. She nuzzled her head into my neck. We headed to our next class, which luckily we had together. Lily sat there texting her mom the whole time. I wonder if her parents know. The day passed by slowly and we finally were on our way to the doctor. We sat in the waiting room and I held her hand. I knew she was scared. I am too but I have to be strong for her. The nurse took her back for some tests. Lily came back and got me then they escorted us to a room. "Hi Lillian, I just want to do an ultrasound." A nurse said. Lily nodded and grasped my hand tightly. She lifted up her shirt and the nurse began. "Honey, it seems you have a tumor on your ovaries. We won't know if it is malignant or benign unless we remove it." She said. Lily had tears in her eyes. "Am I pregnant though?" she asked. "No but we will need to get this tumor out to see what it is." She said. Lily nodded and they set up a surgery date for her. We headed out to her car. "You have to tell your parents." I said. "I don't know how and if I have cancer or have something wrong with my ovaries, I can never have kids." She said breaking down. "Lily, everything will be alright." I said as my voice cracked. "No it won't. I wanted to have kids some day. Kids with you and now there is a possibly that we can't." she sobbed. "Lillian, I will make sure that we have kids one day now let's go see your parents." I said starting the car. I drove to her house and brought her inside. "Lily, what's wrong baby?" Andrea said running over to her crying daughter. Lily couldn't even speak. "She has a tumor on her ovaries and it could be malignant or benign and she has surgery to get it removed to find out what is going on." I said. Her mom kissed her head and held Lily close. I texted my dad to let him know what was going on as I sat with Lily and her family to comfort her. "Lily, I was going to wait until graduation to tell you this but it is your birthday/ graduation gift even though your birthday has passed." I said. I dug a card out of my bag that I had hidden in my bag because I knew that is the last place Lily would find it. I handed her the card and she opened it. "Tyler, you're joking." She gasped. "No, right after graduation you and I are going to Paris." I said. "But this costs so much money." She said. "I have been saving up ever since you told me you wanted to go when we were eight." I said. "I love you." She said kissing me. I saw her dad smirking. I kissed her back. I held her in my arms until she fell asleep. I love this girl more than anything and I wish she were pregnant instead of finding out this news.
