Chapter 5

Birthday Party Part 1

Lily's POV

I snuggled my face in Tyler's chest. I really didn't want to move from bed today and thank god we didn't have to due to the weekend. I felt a kiss on my head and I smiled. "So I take it you aren't moving any time soon." Tyler said. I nodded. He chuckled. "I think I smell French toast from downstairs." He said. "Don't you dare be lying to me Purdy boy." I said jumping out of bed. I ran downstairs and found French toast. "I am so happy mom is home." I said grabbing three slices of French toast. I drowned them in syrup and began eating them. "It is nice seeing you eat." Tyler whispered in my ear. I smiled at him. He began eating. "When did you get here Tyler?" my dad asked. My eyes widened. "I got here last night. Lily had a nightmare and needed me." He said. My dad nodded and ate his breakfast. "I am going to see Robin." Lucas said running down the stairs. "Hey, come eat some breakfast first." My mom said. "But she has a competition today and I need to be at her house in ten minutes." He said. My mom placed his plate down. "I will call Andy to pick you up here." She said. He groaned and sat down beginning to eat. I chuckled and finished my plate putting it in the dishwasher. "What would you like to do today?" Tyler asked wrapping his arms around my waist. "Well she has a paper to write." My dad said. I shot daggers at him. He put his hands up in surrender. My mom laughed. "Well Autumn and I are taking Lacey to get her nails done. How about you come with us so Tyler can take a shower and maybe get some of his homework done." My mom said. Tyler and I nodded. I ran up to take a shower and came back down dressed and ready to go. We got in my mom's car and drove to Tyler's. I saw Lacey bouncing up and down watching out the window. I chuckled and climbed out of the car. She ran out hugging me. "Hey mini Purdy." I said hugging her. She smiled and Tyler came over hugging her. We headed inside and Ashley and CC were playing video games. "Where's Charlotte?" I asked CC. "Horseback riding with her mom. And we all remember last time I got on a horse so I decided to come here." CC said. I laughed. "Hey, at least your butt healed." I said kissing his cheek. "You are so lucky you are my favorite niece." He said. "Hey." Lacey whined. "Shhh, I am just trying to make her happy." He whispered in Lacey's ear. Lacey giggled hugging him. CC has always been her favorite uncle. I walked over and hugged my aunt. "Ready to get your nails done?" she asked. I nodded. "I will see you later." Tyler said. I nodded smiling. He kissed me softly. I kissed him back. "So when do we start planning their wedding?" Autumn asked my mom. "Give it a year then I say we do." She said. I blushed and hid my face in his shoulder. "Technically you are already Mrs. Purdy from when we messed around at that wedding when we were little and repeated everything they said." Tyler whispered in my ear. "I forgot about that. Hey at least I have a sexy husband." I said. He laughed. I gave him one last kiss goodbye and we got back in the car. I looked out the window. I still hate being in cars. My mom reached back and held my hand. I saw my aunt smile a little at me. We got to the nail salon and headed inside. I sat down as Lacey ran over to look at the colors. My mom sat next to me. "What's bothering you sweetie?" she asked. "Can I see a therapist?" I asked. "Well of course. If that is what you want we can find you one." She said. I nodded and she hugged me. I went and picked out a nail color and sat down with the lady. "Can you paint the finger next to my pinkie gold and the rest of them this matte black?" I asked. She nodded and began to do my nails. I looked over at Lacey and she was giggling and enjoying the attention. The woman finished my nails and I sat under the UV light waiting for them to dry. I texted Tyler saying we were almost done and he said he was waiting. I looked and saw my birthday is tomorrow. My Uncle Aiden will hopefully be here. I miss him so much. My phone started ringing and saw my uncle's name. "Aiden." I said. "Hey, there's my favorite niece." He said. "Where are you?" I asked. "Somewhere." He said. "Tell me." I said. He chuckled and hung up the phone. He texted me a picture with him and Tattoo. "Mom, we need to head home. Now." I said. "Why?" she asked. "Uncle Aiden is home." I said. "He couldn't wait to surprise you tomorrow. I am going to kill him." She said. "Come on." I whined. "We aren't done yet. Give us ten minutes." She said. I groaned and ran out of the nail salon. It is only a 30-minute walk to my house maybe 15 if I run. I started jogging and then took off running. I got home and ran inside. I found my uncle and tackled him down. "Hey lilypad." He said. "I missed you." I said. "I know you did but it is my last year in school and then I will be home." He said. I smiled and nodded. "I leave though this year." I said. "Yes but you will be here in California and not miles away." He said. "That is true." I said. "So what has happened since the last time I visited?" he asked. "Well, I have a boyfriend." I said. "Who?" he asked. "Tyler." I said blushing. "Damn, I owe your mom $20 bucks." He said. "Who did you think I would date?" I asked. "Axel Thayer." He said. "We aren't talking. He is mad that Tyler and I are together." I said. "He will get over it soon enough. He would lose an amazing friend if he can't get over it." He said. I nodded. I am still hurt by Axel walking out. I was there for everything with him. When his mom walked out on his dad. When he found out he was adopted. When he found out his real dad was killed in a car accident and his real mom was forced to give him up but no one can find her. We climbed up off the ground and headed into the kitchen. I found my grandfathers and hugged them tightly. "We have matching nails." My grandpa Jeffree said. I smiled and kissed his cheek. "Where's your mom?" my dad asked. "I ran home when I found out my favorite uncle was home." I said hugging my Uncle Aiden. "Tyler and his dad are on their way over. We're having a barbeque." My dad said. I nodded. I ran upstairs to start my paper to make my dad happy. I was then tackled down to the ground from behind. "Charlotte, Robin!" I squealed. They hugged me tightly. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked. "Well we wanted to see our best friend and my dad wouldn't leave Ashley and Lucas wanted Robin here still." Charlotte said. "Makes sense." I said hugging them tightly. "So you're birthday is tomorrow." They said. "Yes, it is. What are we doing for breakfast?" I asked. "Well, we were thinking of taking our best friend to her favorite breakfast place." They said. "DENNY'S!" I screamed. They laughed. "Rose and Jacqueline will be joining us right?" I asked. "You know they wouldn't miss your birthday for the world." Robin said. Rose is Jake's daughter and Jacqueline is Jinxx's. The boys all ended up having daughters although Jake as a son names Theo and Jinxx has two sons, Liam and James. We are all friends. Tyler is mostly close with Jake's son Theo. We climbed up off the ground and my dad called us downstairs. I hugged my uncles and Tyler came over. I dodged his arms and he pouted. "You know I love you." I said. "Ya, I love you too." He said. I kissed him and he held me in his arms. I heard a groan and I saw Axel. I looked down and fiddled with my hands. "Don't let him bother you." Tyler whispered in my ear. I nodded. Soon all my friends were here. "What is going on?" I asked. Tyler blindfolded me and led me somewhere. He ripped off the blindfold and everyone yelled surprise. I smiled and saw all my friends. Jacqueline and Rose ran over hugging me along with Theo, Liam and James. I made my way over to my Uncle Jinxx and Aunt Alice hugging them then Ella and Jake. I made my way around to everyone but when I got to Axel he walked off. I walked after him. I grabbed his arm. "Can't you be happy for me. You knew I liked him." I said. "Ya, well I like you. I have been dating all these girls to get my mind off you." He screamed. "Well, I am sorry but Axel you are like my second brother." I said. He punched a tree. "Axel, please. We are best friends. We have been there for each other through everything." I said. "Not everything. They found her and I'm leaving. I'm going to be with my real mom. My dad understands and he just wants to see me happy." He said. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked. "Because I don't want to leave you." He said kissing me. I pushed him away. Tyler stood there looking at us. "Tyler, I kissed her." Axel said. "Goodbye Axel. I hope your mom is everything you were looking for." Tyler said. Axel nodded and left. Tyler held me in his arms. "Come on, let's enjoy the party." He said. I nodded. I hope Axel gets everything he is looking for. I put a smile back on and headed over to join my friends and family. All the girls smushed me in a hug. My dad and Uncle Aussie were making burgers and hot dogs. "We are all going out to a club later to celebrate. Your mom and dad said it was alright." Jacqueline said. "Everyone?" I asked. "Tyler, Theo, Liam, James, Lucas, me, you, Rose, Robin and Charlotte." She said. I smiled. We ate and laughed. We all caught up on what was going on in our lives since we go to different high schools. Theo slipped his hand into Jacqueline's and she kissed his cheek. I threw a grape at her. "Why was I not told?" I asked. "We didn't really tell anybody." She said. "You realize she has two brother to beat you up if you hurt her right?" I asked Theo. "Yes, but they both know I would never hurt her." He said wrapping his arms around her waist. I heard something being blown up and I looked over to see a bouncy house. I squealed and ran towards it. I dove in and found my Uncle Alex. I squealed again and hugged him. We started bouncing around the house and everyone joined us. My Uncle Alex tackled me down and hugged me tightly. "I missed you." He said. "I missed you too." I said. We spent the rest of the time catching up with my family and extended family. I lied back in Tyler's arms as I waited for the party to die down so I could get ready for tonight. I can't believe I am old enough to go into an 18+ club. I still don't know how everyone else is going to get in but this should be fun.
