Caleb's POV

"Man that was funny as hell! Listen, Juliet was already on stage and Romeo was nowhere to be found!" Mike said as he roared in laughter.

"I told Daniella I wasn't going to act with that whore"

"What's your first class?"

"I have biology,how about you?"I said as my voice sounded a little excited.

"Is it just me or does everyone else find biology boring"Mike said dumbly.

Sometimes,I wonder why I was friends with this idiot!
But he had his moments. Even though he was annoying as hell,he's always there for his friends when we need him.

"I guess I'm the only one who finds biology interesting so shut your beak"I said with a fake smile.

"Whatever assh*le!"

I walked into my biology class and saw that Melanie was already seated at the front seat.

At last she had come to school. I needed to talk to her and apologise.

What I said to her was absolutely rude and uncalled for! They were all lies though.

I took a seat right behind her. She didn't groan or make any facial expression.

Her face was just stoic and void of any emotion. I didn't know if she was mad at me,sad or anything.

I sighed and tried to pay attention to whatever miss Alvira was saying but surprisingly,I mean for the first time in forever,I couldn't quite comprehend what she was saying.

I was thinking of what Melanie was going through right now.
Honestly if anyone told me some few months ago that I'd be totally whipped like this,I'd have looked at them and laugh so hard till my eyes became teary.

"So Caleb tell us how Amoebae respire"miss Alvira looked at me while smiling kindly at me.

I blinked several times.

"What is she talking about? What Amoebae?"

"Uh miss Alvira uh I didn't quite uhm you know" I began as I started sweating profusely.

"It's okay sweetie,I'll just explain it again. Just don't zone out again. I realized that you weren't paying attention."

Can this woman get any sweeter than she already is?

I literally spaced out again for the next thirty minutes of biology class again.

I sighed in relief in relief when the bell rang.

I saw Melanie rush out of the class.
Gosh I almost missed her. I got up from my seat and ran after her.

"Melanie!" I yelled after her. I thought she'd ignore but nope she didn't. That girl is so unpredictable.

"Yes?"

"Uh so about what happened at the party,I wanted apologise for what I said to you" I said nervously as she stared deep into my eyes with no emotion on her face.

It's like she was trying to reach the the depth of my soul and it was f*cking freaking me out. I really hoped she'd see how sorry I was and forgive me.

"Okay"

What? She just said okay after I apologized? She was supposed to say something like uh apology accepted or maybe I'm still mad at you or something not just 'okay!'
