Melanie's POV

So uh this is kinda awkward.... I mean mum,Nick,Caleb and I all seated behind a table eating heartily...if I may say.....like I didn't just come home this morning and I didn't sleep in the house.

I knew Nick wanted to say a lot.... I mean he wanted to yell or probably punch Caleb but God bless mum's heart for giving him the 'don't you dare' look.

I knew after this whole breakfast or whatever it is, is over,I had to answer to Nick.

Mum believed Caleb when he told him everything that happened....well except the part that we were out in the cold on a cemetery or garden cemetery?.....I don't know how to call that place..Caleb didn't tell mum that part.

I knew it was a private property but I didn't know it belonged to Caleb's family.
It was filled with a lot of flowers with Angelo's grave in the middle of it all.

I didn't know why Nick didn't believe Caleb....gosh I mean that's the truth!

I don't expect him to go all 'I believe you man' with Caleb but at least he should know that I'd quickly object in case Caleb wasn't telling the truth.....cos well I hated lying to my brother.

"Melanie West! You do realize that you're gonna miss school today,don't you?"

Oh oh! Nick only called me by my full name whenever he was beyond pissed and right now? I could literally see smoke coming out of his ears.

"Oh c'mon Nick,stop being too hard on your sister. You realize they got stuck up somewhere right?"mum butted in while smacking Nick's arm not so gently.

Ha! Serves him right!I smirked inwardly

"I don't believe that crap"Nick muttered more to himself but that came out loud.

So after that most awkward moment of my life,the so called breakfast was over and Caleb had to head home. I just wished his dad wasn't there to you know....scold him.
From what I heard,they're not the best buddies.

"Nick,why don't you drop Calebsy Talebsy home?"mum yelled to Nick from the kitchen and I felt Nick scowl.

Seriously mum? What's Calebsy Talebsy?
I almost laughed as I realized that mum hadn't stopped giving weird nicknames even if it's someone she barely knew.

I refrained myself from laughing cos I bet it'll get Nick more pissed than he already is considering he was mad at me for not coming home,mad at me for probably being out with Caleb,mad at me that mum saw nothing wrong with what I did...... He was MAD at me and it would not be the best decision to laugh right now.

"Mum you know that's not happening"he gritted his teeth in anger while glaring at Caleb.

Poor guy! If looks could kill right now,I'm sure he would have been buried six feet deep by now!

And the funny aspect of it all is that Caleb looked the least bothered by Nick's constant glares. He did flinch a few times when Nick yelled.

"I guess I'll have to ask Mel to-"

"Don't even think about it,mum!I'll just drop this douchebag home"

"Hey language young man!"mum returned from the kitchen with some packed food,I guess and handed it over to Caleb.

"Calebsy Talebsy,here you go! I packed some lunch for you"

Caleb made a face at the nickname mum gave him indicating that he obviously didn't like it but quickly masked it with a smile and took the packed food.

"Thanks Aunt"he said in a polite manner which only made Nick growl.

Nick hated Caleb and he clearly wanted to make it so obvious.
