Twenty-two

The next day was my last day in the hospital. It was basically the same as yesterday. Spent all my time with miguel as we watched movies and ate food. I was excited to get out of this place but it just made me sad that miguel had to stay. Suddenly johnny walks in and by the look on miguels eyes it looks like it was the first time theyve talked

"What are you doing here" he asks

"Look kid. Im sorry this happened to you. But you need to know I'm always going to your sensei and I'm going to stand by you side while you get through this" he says. Suddenly miguels phone goes off and he tried to reach for it but fails

"You want the phone" johnny asks an idea popping into his head

"Yeah" miguel answers.

"Go get it" he says pushing the table his phone was on to a wall across the room

"I c-can't I can't even walk my legs are"

"QUIET" johnny yells

"Get the phone. Crawl on your hands and knees if you have to grab it with your teeth I don't care just GET THE PHONE" johnny says and after that something goes off in miguels brain and his eyes light up happy to have his sensei back

"Yes sensei" he says before reaching for it. He was so close but he ended up just falling

"Ah shit... uh that's ok you fell like a champ. NURSE" johnny says making me laugh as we both help miguel back up.

The next day was my first day back at school. I was kind of nervous considering I used to hang with hawk and my cobra kai friends but now I clearly couldn't do that. I was worried theyd honestly try to hurt me but I couldn't think like that

I showed up and sam and demetri immediately waved me over making me so happy. I was so mean to them and it really showd the type of people they are that they could forgive me

"Hey quinn! Hows your arm" she asks

"As good as it can be" I say laughing a little

"Quinn can we talk" hawk says coming up behind me

"No" I say not even turning to look at him.

"Quinn come on please" he asks trying to grab my arm but I yank it away

"No eli" I say and he knew I was serious when I used his real name

He didn't say anything so I assumed he was gone thank god. And then the bell rang and I was dreading sitting through these classes.

At lunch we sat with moon and yasmine surprisingly. It was hard to be around moon but she never owed me loyalty so I tried to be nice.

"Quinn I just wanna say when I was at hawks house... nothing happened. I mean that's what he was planning I think but when he invited me over he just said he wanted to talk. I wouldn't of gone over if he had openly said those were his intentions. But when I got there he didn't make a move and we ended up just talking about you and I told him he was a dumbass and all those other things" she says

"Thanks moon" Is all I say

That honestly didn't make me feel any better. He had to have a girl right infront of his face to realize He only wanted me. He planned on hooking up with her that night and that's what sucks. It just made my heart hurt more.

I was cut off from my thoughts at a ball barreling towards us and completely destroying this project demetri had made for yasmine

I look over to see where it came from and I wasnt surprised to be met with hawks eyes

"That took me three weeks to build" demetri says

"Well it took my ball three seconds to destroy" he says going back to his table after flashing me a wink and I just rolled my eyes

Demetri and sam storm off behind him and I was going to get up too but I figured it wasnt worth it.

After a couple of seconds later I see sam slap hawk and counselor blatt immediately raced over there. Hawk put on his eli face and blatt started yelling at sam saying it was her last chance or whatever. The bell rang and not wanting to talk to any of them I just headed to class. It made me sad eli had become this person but I probably understood better than anyone. On the inside he was just this sad broken person and All I wanted to do was put him back together but you can't help someone who doesn't want it. It just sucked cause I still loved him. With my entire heart but I couldn't let anyone know. I had to act like my heart didn't physically feel like it was breaking.

My last class of the day was gym which I completely dreaded since it was my only one with hawk. I got to sit out though since I was still healing so that was good. I would just have to watch not actually interact with him.

Today we were playing soccer and just great. The cobras were all on one team and miyagi on the other along with some others. I could see all the purposeful tackles but the coach didn't seem to see they were on purpose.

Hawks pov-

I had just kicked the ball into some pussy from miyagi do's face. Felt pretty good to be honest. As I was running away down to our teams side demetri decided to come bother me

"She really loved you you know" he says

"Moon?" I ask not even thinking it's only because she had been over a couple nights before but when I saw demetri's face I knew I messed up

"No not moon. Quinn you dumbass. The one who has loved you since you were eli not after you completely changed yourself. Every girl you have gotten with or got any sort of attention from was because of this fake persona you put on. But not quinn. She loves you" demetri says shoving his finger on my chest and then punches me sweeping my legs and my back hits the ground hard.

I was going to get him back but coach told us all to go to the principals office.

Quinns pov-

After school I listened closely to counselor blatts conversation with demetri sam eli and some others from cobra kai.

Hawk had some how gotten him and his friends off the hook. Sam wasnt too happy about.

"I hate this school" she yells slamming the lockers and walking away

Demetri followings. I just walk after them not bothering to make eye contact with hawk but I could tell he was looking at me.

When I got home johnny had explained more about what was going to happen to robby after daniel had lowered him to visit our mom at rehab. He said robby was really mad at both of them and that the whole time he was calling out for me but was very disappointed when I wasnt there which broke my heart.

"We will be able to visit him soon don't worry. I gotta go I've been trying to help miguel get his legs moving" johnny says standing up

"Hey you should come" johnny says but I shake my head no

"Nah I think it's cute you two are bonding. I don't need to impose" I say settling back into the couc

Johnny nods in understand ment and then leaves me alone for the night.
