Sixteen

I woke up the next day upset it was the last day of summer. Moon had invited me to an end of summer party though so that should be fun. It was later this afternoon and we didn't have karate today so I just hung around all day. Johnny was out doing who knows what so I just showered and watch tv until it was time to go to moons

Moons house was insanely big and I just admired it for a second before walking in. Wishing I could have lived in a place like this

"QUINN!" I'm so excited you came moon says coming up to me her bubbly personality coming out as always.

"Thanks for having me your house Is insane" I tell her as we do a quick hug

"Thanks! So theres drinks and stuff in the kitchen and party is everywhere so enjoy" she tells me before walking away.

I spot hawk on the couch with some of the others from the dojo so I went over. Just as I was gonna sit down next to him mitch comes back with some drinks and takes the spot. I just smile and blush awkwardly and sit on the arm of the couch.

"Here" mitch says handing me a drink that I guess was supposed to be his cause he gets up again heading back to the kitchen. I feel one of hawks arm snake around my waist and then pull me off the arm of the sofa and onto his lap. I didn't mind at all though and we just sat there talking with our friends. One of his arms keeping a protective hold on me and the other holding his drink.

"Hey guys!" Miguel says as him and tory come up to the couch eyeing the position I was in with hawk and then letting it go

"Hey how are you two" I ask them

"Good! And I see so are you" tory says smirking at me and hawk making me blush

"Okay were gonna go get a drink see you guys later!" Tory says as she drags miguel away.

The whole time was so fun just catching up with friends and hanging out with hawk. Moon even invited her girlfriend piper over who was so nice. All of us were now standing up dancing and drinking until a loud sound came from the speakers

"Hey everyone I just wanted to make a toast to eli moskawits" demetri says and I feel hawk tense us beside me

"Oh some of you might better know him as hawk" he says pointing over to him

"You know he used to be my binary brother but now... he's a real zero" demetri says making everyone laugh

A couple of rude comments later hawk threw his cup, going up to demetri. The one that really pissed him off was the one about him wetting the bed.

Hawk was almost at demetri until sam and robby came out of no where infront of them. I immediately walked over standing face to face with sam

"You should Probably move" I tell her fist clenched

"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it? Huh? Your only in the dojo because of your daddy. You aren't good at it and I could take you down in a second" she spits

"Your one to talk. I'm not the only one whose father is their sensei" I tell her

"You know we don't even have to fight. I know more about you then you think. Stuff your friends would probably love to know" she says smirking

"Oh yeah? Shoot" I tell her

"I'm sure theyd love to know why your lastname isn't lawrence. I mean it is your dads lastname" she says

"Dad wasnt in my life when I was born. Robbys isn't lawrence either, slut" I spit at her throwing a punch but she blocks it

"Oh yeah your right. My bad. Tell me then why isn't your lastname...keene?" She asks and my eyes widen a little.

I had completely forgotten that my name didn't match with his. But I wasnt going to answer instead I swept her legs and before she could get up. Red and blue lights filled the house and everyone ran

"You got lucky demetri! I'll see you at school! Hawk yells running out the back dragging me along with him.

We got on his bike and drove off. We ended up just going to the beech still wanting to spend time with each other.

We were sitting on the beech cuddled up watching the night sky and listening to the ocean

"So... why isn't your last name keene" hawk asks me

"It's not a big deal like she made it seem" I tell him

"Then can you tell me?" He asks looking me in the eyes

"After robby was born... my mom had moved on to some other guy. Robby and I always considered him our dad not johnny. They got in a fight one day and my mom and johnny... well hooked up and that's how I was conceived. My mom ended up going back to the guy and they just gave me his lastname. My mom never wanted me so she didn't want me to have her last name like robby did" I tell him

"Oh... well yeah that makes sense" he says

"I just can't believe robby told her about all that... that I was a mistake and was unwanted" I say breaking our eye contact looking back at the ocean

"Hey you don't know that. I mean she probably just put two and two together it's not hard. I mean it surprised me too when she said that cause I realized I haven't even thought about it till then" he says

"Yeah well she clearly knew the reason and that's why she brought it up. And the only other person who knows is robby so" I say shrugging realizing my brother was a whole different person now.

"Hey don't worry about it. She's a stuck up princess who needs to worry about other people to make herself feel noticed. It has nothing to do with you and... I know you have a hard time opening up and stuff. And I have told you this a thousand times but I am here to listen and to hold you when your sad and to be all those things you've never had. I wanna be your person quinn. Because your mine" he says

"Will you be my girlfriend" he asks heart going ten thousand miles per house

I didn't even answer I just pulled him in for a kiss that was longer than I intended but I didn't care

"So that's a yes?" He says laughing as we part lips

"Of course" I say kissing him one last time.
