It's been a week since I got the phone call that changed my life since my little girls were shot as I held their warm hands I began wondering will this be the last time I get to hold their small fragile hands will I ever get to see them open their eyes again will I be able to hear their first words see their first steps I can't lose them what will Josie say how will she or Ethan feel I can't lose them I just can't I haven't see Sebastian since they've been in the hospital he came to see them once but that was the last time I saw him I walked out the room as the doctor checked on them I made myself a cup of coffee and ate a doughnut

I finished eating my doughnut and began drinking my coffee when the doctor walked in sat next to me smiling "I have some good news and some bad news which do you want first"

"Bad"

"due to being shot the girls will both develop a disability it's not certain it can happen but they may have a harder time doing and learning things"

"And the good news"

"I took the girls off coma they have recovered rapidly they should wake up sometime this week I'm not certain when but they will wake up we will be checking on their growth and their brain activity to date main any type of disabilities they may develop in the future"

"Thank you doctor"

"Your welcome and don't forget to call me if they wake up"

Day 1 of coma

I stood up walking in their room to see them peacefully sleeping it's been hard on all of but I think Sebastian is taking it harder than all of us Josie keeps asking where he is but I can never give her a straight answer Josie walked in smiling "can I talk to them momma"

"Of course you can princess"

"Can they hear me"

"I'm sure they can"

She walked up to them smiling and began talking "If you wake up I promise to let you play with all my teddies and even my barbies but you can't touch my lollies I love my lollies" she said laughing

Day 2 of coma

I caressed their face tearing up not knowing what to say how could this happen to them why would someone hurt my babies the moment my brother found out they were shot he disappeared that's when I found out he was the one that shot hem him wanting to mend things was a lie he just wanted to distract me so he could hurt my babies my phone began to ring I instantly picked it up

"Avalon"

"Delilah"

"I know I did you wrong a lot of times but please hear me out"

"Fine be here in 15 minutes no later"

I hung up the phone sighing walking out the room walking downstairs to the kitchen I began to make some cookies and tea for when Delilah come I put the last cookie on the plate when their was a knock on the door I took the cookies and tea to the living room I opened the door to reveal Delilah

"Come on in"

I led her towards the living room and handed her a cup of tea and a cookie and got myself the same she was looking at her tea thinking really hard until she let out a huge sigh looking up at me nervously

"Just let me explain"

"Avalon when I started dating Nathan we were in love he treated Ethan as his own son but then a year went by he began getting aggressive started beating me raping me and if I talked back he would hit Ethan and made him watch as he raped me then he made me beat Ethan I couldn't leave since he's in a gang and then you came and I let you take him I wanted him to have a great life with you I knew you would protect him I never killed faith Nathan did I tried to stop him but he didn't he even tried to take the baby but I knocked him out I know I've done bad things but I've changed for Ethan I gave the police proof of him dealing drugs and beating and raping other woman and stealing and selling their children so he's in jail now I own all his companies now and his gang is mine now I just want my son back please"
