Steps

Chapter 9

I have cuts and bruises all over my body. They're all from the Carrow twins. I have been punished 7 times in the 6 weeks we've been here. The pain goes away after a while but it's still sore. Ruby got caught after hours and had to suffer the Cruciatus Curse. She hasn't been the same the last few weeks. She seems sad and not her smiley self. This school is making everyone unhappy.

Draco has tried several times to see what I meant but failed every time. He's true too his word though, he's not stopping. He has come up to me many times trying to get me to talk but I'm not that stupid. I'm not Pansy for god sake.

Classes were longer than ever. The only fun we had was in the common room but most people weren't in the mood to have conversations. Blaise was trying so hard to make everyone laugh but it wasn't happening. Celia never stayed upstairs anymore but just went straight to our dorm. One night I heard her crying in her sleep.

The war is coming.

Draco, Blaise, Pansy and I were sitting on the sofas in the common room the rest of them had gone to bed. We all sat in silence until Blaise started to talk.

"I hate silence it sounds like we all hate each other."

We all just looked at him. When we all stayed silent still I looked back down at my book.

"Come on guys we don't talk to each other anymore" Blaise said.

"Well what do you want to talk about?" I asked. I hated the silence as well.

Pansy rolled her eyes at me and stood up from the sofa and tried to climb onto Draco but this time Draco was violent and pushed her straight off his lap. She landed on the floor in pain. She got up and ran towards the stairs and ran straight down them.

Blaise and I both laughed. Draco just had a cold face with no emotion. Blaise and I continued our laughing fit until Draco banged his hand down on the table which made us both stop.

We looked at each other and turned to Draco. I opened my moth to say something but Draco said something before a could say a word.

"I don't know why you're laughing, she was really pissing me off, she can't keep her hands to herself." Draco snapped.

"You didn't mind it last night mate." Blaise commented. Draco's head looked up anger all over it then he looked at me. I put my head down and looked back at my book. Did he really sleep with her last night? I could feel his gaze on my.

I couldn't handle it anymore so I stood up and made my way to the steps. I got down the first set when I heard my name being called. I knew who it was so I kept going.

I wasn't fast enough because he managed to grab my arm and push me against the wall.

"What do you want?" I asked. He was so close I could feel his breath on my face.

"You." He stated. I couldn't even react before his lips collided with mine. His hand went round my waist.

What was I doing he had sex with Pansy last night and now he's kissing me. This was too fast, we barely know each other. My mind was telling me to stop but my body was saying something else. His lips were like a drug to me and I was addicted.

I finally pulled away when I heard a door slam.

"What are you doing, this isn't right, I'm sorry." I left him standing on the step confused. I just had my first kiss with Draco Malfoy, oh my good god.

I ran through the door of my dorm and locked it. I was out of breath from running so fast. I lent against the door and started to slide down it.

What just happen? He didn't like me? He's always with Pansy. He doesn't want me. Ruby had told me what he's like and I'm not falling for it. I have to know him and he has to know me and I'm not ready to share that with anyone but Ruby.

Celia sat down next to me on the floor. I was still out of breath from what had just happened. I turned my head to the side and put my arms around her. I needed a hug and she did too.

"What happed?" She asked.

"Draco he-he kissed me." I said confused. I was still trying to understand what happened to me. Did I even like him? I mean yeah he's perfect but he's like every bad boy in the books and that never ends well. I've had no experience with boys especially him.

"What?! Draco as in Draco Malfoy, I don't believe it! Blaise and Theo were right" She stated.

"What do you mean they were right?" I wondered.

"Well Theo and Blaise said that ever since the Ball Draco couldn't stop talking about you but your fake name and then when you were in the train he was going to go after you but Ruby told him that you wanted to be alone. So basically the boys thought that he had something for you and now he's made a move." She answered. "We might finally have a lasting relationship." She cheered. What does she mean a lasting relationship? Does she think I like him back? I mean I don't know myself.

I smiled at her and started to get off the floor. I put my hand out and Celia grabbed it and I pulled her up. She got back into bed whilst I got changed into some pjs.

I tucked myself under the duvet and closed my eyes. All I could think about was that kiss. What was I going to do? I can't ignore him. Maybe that's the best thing I could do.

Sorry if this chapter isn't that good. I had writer's block for most of it. This was the best I could do. I like getting at least one out every so here it's is.
