Luigi had decided to go to bed. He needed to rest, especially with the shock of what just happened.
Besides, it was all occurring in his own home, so it was probably fine if he did.
Luigi slept without dreams, but he felt the fear of a nightmare when he woke back up.
The room was dark, so night had come while he slept.
He had no idea what waited for him, with the Chaos Heart locking him in his home.
He sighed, he'll have to face it, right?
He tried to get up and head back into the living room.
Tried.
He couldn't move.
For the most part, that is. Try as he might, Luigi could not move from where he lay. It was like he got chained to his bed while he was asleep, but the truth is nobody was there to do the deed. In fact, there weren't even chains. He barely moved his limbs around but it wasn't enough to truly matter.
He's stuck.
Luigi still attempted to move, however, growing more and more panicked as the seconds passed.
He couldn't help but think about why he could have been stuck here. What gain over him does this entity get from just trapping him in one place? What did it want from him?
His thoughts blurred together as he broke into sobs.
He's never been this scared in his entire life.
Any power he had was gone now.
Eventually, he gave up.
He tried to break away but nothing happened.
If he had to stay here, then what choice did he have?
He continued to lie there, unable to fail asleep again, leaving him to the mercy of his own situation.
He felt something behind him.
Like something had settled down on his bed, but what could that be?
His heart began to pound.
What was behind him?
What was behind him?!
Fear overtook him again, but now things are different. He could feel like something is sitting down right behind him, and he doesn't know what will happen.
It, whatever it even was, lay a hand on him, a chill shooting down his spine.
Nothing else happened, though.
Luigi twisted as much as his strange capture allowed in order to try seeing this thing, but he didn't see anything.
His breath shook. This was just the beginning, he was certain, but if this is how it all begins, then he feared what will happen to him later on.
He closed his eyes, just for a moment...
And when he opened them again, he flinched, just like he awoke from a nightmare again.
