Over time, he continued to stalk.
Eventually, night fell, and the lost travellers chose to set up camp.
He doubted how safe that was.
Luigi took this, however, as an opportunity to retreat.
The harvested blood was a bit cumbersome, and he hadn't the room for more.
When he slipped into his house, he dared wonder once more, why was he being driven to do this?
He noticed something in the garage.
A massive vat.
He didn't recall having one.
He was probably better off not questioning it, though.
He emptied the bags into it, and proceeded to head back out.
Again, what was he needing this blood for?
Was it even something he'd want to know about?
A whispering voice from within said not to worry about it.
That can't mean anything good.
Almost instinctually, Luigi managed to find the camp again. Four were asleep, but one older man was keeping a watch on everything.
They know.
He would need to figure out how to deal with this then.
He stopped to think, but it was hard to tell if he was drawing his own conclusions or if he was being fed ideas via the Chaos Heart's command.
Neither was preferable.
Whatever it was weighing the options asked of a syringe.
Luigi raised an eyebrow and began to look for one.
He wasn't sure when he grabbed it, but there was one.
Convenient, but it creeped him out.
He at first wondered why he'd need one, but his thoughts were interrupted by him suddenly moving.
He snuck up behind the 'guard' and grabbed him, covering his mouth in an effort to keep him quiet. The needle sank into the side of the man's head, and Luigi injected the air within.
Simple as that.
He took the opportunity to get to collecting from him and the others, slitting their throats as he worked.
He barely reacted, but he still felt a horrified conscience inside, one that would have made him tremble and cry if it weren't for the Heart.
Finally, there was one left. A man about Luigi's age. He slowly reached at him with his knife, but he heard a voice,
"No! Keep this one. This one's important..."
What?
He couldn't possibly imagine why, or what that may mean, but what choice did he have to comply?
So, he dragged the last survivor home, where he was locked inside a closet.
Luigi finally took the mask off.
Now what?
