Soon enough, the blood covering his body dried off. He tried to rub and scratch it off, but it stayed. Strange how it just wouldn't come off.
Luigi was getting rather used to the feeling of being caked in a layer of blood, however. Unfortunately. But, of course, it wouldn't come off in spite of his efforts. He had to get used to it.
He stood up and began to walk away and up the stairs.
It was still unnaturally dark. He still felt unsafe.
As he passed a door in the upstairs hallway, he heard laughter.
He froze. What was that?
Did it come from behind the door?
He was afraid to go in. So to avoid it, Luigi continued on to his room.
He stayed inside for a long time.
Strange, shadowy figures swooped around. Hands reached for him. He heard breathing that was not his own. He was willing to endure the Chaos Heart- made hallucinations.
He braved them, yes, but it was horrifying itself. He sat on his bed as frightening visions plagued him, as sounds got his heart beating so fast he feared it would fail on him.
He curled into a fetal position, beginning to cry.
The staring eyes he saw in the darkest parts of his room were unbearable.
He was sure he could feel something touching him.
He began to worry something real was hidden among the illusions.
Eventually, he just couldn't take it anymore.
Luigi rushed out of his room, and as he passed the upstairs guest room's door, he heard the laughter again.
Curiosity gripped onto him, and refused to let him go.
What's inside the guest room?
He's heard laughter both times he passed it.
He approached the door, putting a stained - red hand on the doorknob.
He nervously turned it, and slowly opened the door, peeking inside the room.
He gasped, scuttling back a little.
Inside was a person he didn't recognize.
They lay dead on the floor, a knife by them, and no signs of blood. Except, of course the blood bags scattered around, each having a little tiny bit of blood in them.
This random person must have been where the blood that now stained his living room floor, as well as his body, came from.
But that begs the question, how did this person get in, and how, exactly did they die?
He didn't want to know, so he backed out, shutting the door, using a chair to ensure it remained that way, just to be safe.
