There was complete cloud cover that day. No sunlight to be seen anywhere. It might rain soon. Frankly, it set the mood nicely. The Avengers hid in their little shack, drawing up schematics and plans.
"So, the throne room is 6 flights of stairs from my dad's entrance. There are fewer guards than usual, but of course, there are still guards. We need to take them out as we go. Catching them off guard is the ideal scenario, but if we can't, Wanda, you hold them down with your powers." Maya said.
"Okay. So what's the plan once we get to the throne room?" Bucky asked.
"We need to plan with the barest minimum. No help, just ourselves." Wanda said.
"Exactly. So what do we know?" Carson asked.
"Multiple forms of magic, bladed weapons, and the Mind Scepter." Maya said. "That's the most general version I have."
"We just need to knock them out and get them bound up. Once that's done, everything just sort of falls into place." Pietro said.
"Can they use magic to get out of restraints?" Wanda asked.
"I got this this morning." Maya said, holding up a tiny piece of paper. She unfolded it. "Our troops are nearly ready. We have magic inhibitors and other objects that will come to be useful. Be prepared."
"How'd you get that?" Peter asked.
"A raven had it tied to it's talon and I found it on my windowsill this morning." Maya said, tucking the paper back into her pocket.
"Ah, okay."
"Alright. We only get one shot at this. Are we ready?" Bucky asked. Everyone glanced at their companions worridly.
"As ready as we'll ever be." Wanda said.

There was a small noise near their hideout. Cautiously, they looked outside to find Thor, Odin, and Frigga emerge from a portal and creep inside. Each of them had full battle armor and weapons.
"Our army will be coming through various portals throughout the city. As soon as they emerge, break for the Tower in the confusion. There will be a very small window, but it should be enough time for you to break inside." Frigga said.
"Once you breach the throne room, we will send troops as soon as we can to bring these." Odin said, holding up a thin bracelet.
"What is it?" Peter asked.
"A specially designed magic inhibitor. It reduces the magic of anyone who wears it. Without it, Loki and Olivia would escape any bonds you try to put on them to take them away. I should know, I trained them to do so in emergency situations." Frigga said, averting her eyes at that last bit.
