~Epilogue~

"Mother!" Lyanna called in a mildly whiny voice. "Is Father going to be home soon?" Olivia smiled as she picked up her young daughter in her arms.
"You're getting big, my girl." Olivia commented with a chuckle, avoiding Lyanna's question. To a Midgardian, Lyanna looked much like a ten to eleven year old, though by Asgardian standards, she was about half that age.
"You didn't answer my question." Lyanna huffed, her black hair falling over her bright blue eyes. Olivia brushed the hair that matched her husband's out of Lyanna's eyes with a thin smile. "And what about Auntie Agatha?"
"As I told you an hour ago, he'll be home tonight. Your second cousin Lysa got into a bit of an... Issue with one of the other children in her village, nearly starting a small civil war. Your father was asked to sort it out." Olivia explained. "And Agatha will be back in a couple of weeks. She has to go out and find more plants and herbs for her magic, remember?"
Not long after they had taken Asgard, Olivia and Loki send a few of their guards back to Midgard to find Agatha. She was still in Russia when everything came crashing down and couldn't really go back to the Palace after. She escaped the country and managed to find her old Connecticut house where she hid for the next several years. She was spiteful for a little while that her supposed friends hadn't come for her. Though, she reasoned, they had been led away in chains. They were in prison and couldn't go find her.
The guards took Agatha back via Bifrost quickly and painlessly. Her natural immortality meant there wasn't any worry about her dying soon after. She was basically reinstated as a magical attendant and even helped manage the healing wing. A handful of years after that, Olivia had gotten pregnant with Lyanna. Agatha was the one who helped deliver the princess. Effectively, she served as a nanny for the girl and, once he came along, her brother. Lyanna was particularly attached to Agatha, learning both her natural Asgardian magic and Agatha's Midgardian witch magic.
This time, Agatha knew, she wouldn't wake up in the middle of the night to see this new student's corpse bleeding out for disobeying her mother.
"But that was a whole week ago that Father left!" Lyanna protested, back on the subject of her father and rousing Olivia from her thoughts.
"These matters take time to resolve. If you're ever going to be Queen, you have to understand that these things don't solve themselves overnight. It's the price we pay to stay at peace with your father's people."
"He should have taken Ed with him. Then he'd be away from me for a while." Lyanna muttered.
"Lee..." Olivia said in a warning tone.
"And he could learn more about the culture!" Lyanna added quickly to cover herself. "If he is to rule Jotunheim some day-"
"Lee, you and Edmure both have equal chance for either realm. Just because you're older doesn't mean Asgard is automatically the realm you'll rule. It depends on who is best for what throne."
