"And he asked you, just like that?" Adeline squealed to me as we sat in the library. She hated it here, but I dragged her with me for today.

"Yes just like that! It was so strange, I didn't think he knew I existed." I said referring to my encounter with Cedric. "I'm still mad at you for not telling me sooner, I mean, 4 days later!" I let out a chuckle and she started picking at her nails, not giving a goblin's ass about the books.

"I'm so happy for you, but he wasn't the one I expected to be the one to ask you." I look up from my book and she had a grin like the Cheshire Cat plastered on her face.

"What do you mean? Who did you think was gonna ask me?" I shut my book and placed on the table we were sitting at.

"Oh no one...maybe Lorenzo?" She mischievously stated as I rolled my eyes.

"Lorenzo probably wants nothing to do with me. He's just a boy that took me to one party. That's it! He's just a boy." I exclaimed but Adi just smirked at me in disbelief.

"Ok then." She sarcastically said as she turned her attention back to her nails. I shook my head and opened my book back up.

...

After about an hour, I closed my book and placed it on the table. "Well, I'm done."

She looked at me with wide eyes. "Are you kidding! You're joking right? Surely, you cannot be finished already." She said referring to my book.

I shrugged my shoulders and stood up. "There wasn't that many pages, it's just some light reading."

She rolled my eyes at my comment. "Light reading my ass!" She mumbled as I walked over to the shelves, scanning them for a new read.

I was lost in thought when all of a sudden a familiar voice rang through my ears.

"You know, we've got to stop meeting like this."

I swiftly turn around to see Lorenzo standing in front of me with a book in his hands. "Lorenzo..."

"Hello, darling. Long time no see."

He's right. It has been quite a while. I haven't talked to Enzo for almost a week. I felt bad, truly. But we were both just busy, I guess.

"Indeed it has." I said turning around and dragging my finger along the spines of the books. My eyes scanning my options.

"So, looking for yet another book, I see?" He pondered and I nodded my head. "Yes I- I finished the last one." I said, with my back facing him.

"You are something else, Mae." He chuckled and I smiled. I turn around to face him and I look down at his hand to observe the book that he was clutching onto.

"What's that?" I pointed at the book as he lifted it up higher so I could see.

"This, is a new book that I think you'll like." I raise my eyebrow as he hands me the book. I gently took the book from his hand, lightly grazing his skin. That simple action made me blush so hard.

"It's called 'The Other Side of Lost' it's about two people who hate each other but slowly," he looked down at me "fall in love." He continued as I look into his chocolate brown eyes, that glisten no matter where the sun is.

I gulped as I tried so desperately to drag my eyes away from his. "Well, thank you. You didn't have to."

He waved his hand, "It was nothing. Besides, I wanted to. I know how hard it is for you to find a new book." A smile crept up on my face.
