Here I was so close to getting into Asgard, and I was caught. Somehow the Asgardian guards knew of my attempt, catching me as soon as I got to Asgard from the Bifrost.
They clamp on some sort of high tech handcuffs and knock me out.
I wake in a room with three solid white walls and one barrier, blocking me from escaping. Ugh! How could I let this happen?! I was so close! For years I've been tracking these strange prints left on the ground, patterns of some type. Researching and tracking the occurrences to find the source. It finally led me to Thor, which instantly proved Asgard was real. I knew this all before anyone knew of Thor. I followed his patterns of where he would arrive on earth. The one constant was in New York, for the Avengers obviously. I snuck in the Bifrost right as Thor came to earth and before it closed. But the second I arrived at Asgard I was greeted by a few guards. I run through all the mistakes I made, not knowing they could be expecting me, not being prepared to fight if they did. My thoughts are interrupted by a guard telling me it was dinner.
A tray with what appeared to be some sort of meat, vegetables then something unknown was slid through the barrier. I look at the food and scoff.
"Is there a problem?" demanded the guard. I roll my eyes.
"Um, yeah! I shouldn't be here!" I snap back, "Why am I still on Asgard?! I should be on Earth!" The guard gives me a glare.
"You knew too much, we can not risk mortals coming to Asgard uninvited. Now shut your mouth and eat your food." The guard demanded. I roll my eyes and pick up the tray. Still frustrated I pick up my knife, throwing it at the guard. Obviously, the barrier stopped it but it was more an act of defiance. The guard looks at me surprised/disgusted. His reaction makes me laugh. The guard walks towards my cell frustrated and lets the barrier down. Before I could say anything he grabs me by the arm and drags me to my feet and out of my cell.
"Hey, let go of me!" I scream, desperately trying to escape his hold. He looks back at me and gives me a death stare.
"At least tell me where you're taking me!" I demand, reluctantly walking with him, his hand still holding my arm tightly.
"You are getting on my nerves. I'm moving you to a new cell where your punishment waits." My eyes widened and I shut my mouth, not wanting a worse punishment.
The guard leads me to a new part of the prison and opens the door.
"Wait, what do you mean my punishment is waiting for me?" I ask, slightly nervous now. He laughs at me and with a smile said,
"You'll see." I get shoved into a different cell and the barrier is restored. I look around and notice it is slightly bigger. But I see furniture, nice furniture. I stand up and see a man sitting on the king-sized bed. I look at him confused. He looks up from his book, also confused at my presence.
"Who the hell are you?" he asks. The man had long black hair and wore an Asgardian style of armor with hints of green.
"Some guard sent me in here, I pissed him off," I respond. The man gets off his bed and goes to the barrier.
"Hey! What is this?!" He yells at the nearest guard. The guard turns to him with a sarcastic smile.
"What's what?" The guard asked, clearly aware of what the man was referencing. The black-haired or rather raven-haired man scoffs and addresses the guard,
"The woman! Why the hell is she in my cell?!" I wanted to know the same thing.
"Yeah, why am I in here?!" I add. The raven-haired man looks back at me. He clearly wasn't expecting me to talk back.
"Turns out you are both quite defiant, so we thought you would enjoy each other's company." The guard answered sarcastically. He turned away from us and the raven-haired man angrily walked back to his bed. He sat down and picked up his book again.
"Hello?!" I address him, annoyed. He looks up at me, annoyed I interrupted his reading.
"What?" he snapped. I rolled my eyes at his rudeness.
"Who are you?"
"Loki, Loki Laufeyson," he answers. Wait, the Loki Loufeyson?
"The prince of Asgard?" I ask. He nods.
"What about you? How did a Midgardian end up here?" Loki asked, puzzled with how to feel about me.
"I'm Sarah. And I found a way into Asgard from Earth, but I was caught." He examines me and raises an eyebrow.
"You figured out a way to Asgard?" Loki asks in disbelief. I look at him with frustration at the way he said that.
"What? Why do you find that so surprising?' I snapped.
"You just don't seem like the type of person that would do that." he defended. I could sense the judgment behind his words. Oh my go I knew prince Loki was evil but I didn't think he was an ass too. I roll my eyes at his response.
"Ok, I don't have the energy for this. How did you get all this furniture in here?" I ask. Loki stands up and walks towards me, cocky.
"Magic darling," he responds, giving me a sly smile. I stare at him blankly.
"Well can you make me a bed so I can go to sleep?" I ask impatiently. Loki looks me up and down.
"No." he refused, walking back to his bed and sitting down. I look at him pissed.
"Why not?" I demand, taking a few steps towards his bed.
"I don't feel like it." I glare at him with annoyance and disbelief.
"What do you mean, you don't feel like it.? Where am I gonna sleep?" Loki looks right at me with a mischievous smile.
"Well, you can sleep on the ground or...you could sleep in my bed." I scoff at his proposal, but do I really want to sleep on the ground? No. It can't be that bad, it's just sleeping. I sigh.
"Fine," I say, walking to the other side of the bed and getting under the covers. I don't see Loki's face as he gets up but I know exactly what it looks like.
I turn on my side and see Loki take his shirt off. I inhale surprised and see his abs...not bad. I look away before he turns back to me. He gets into his side of the bed and pulls the covers over him. When I open my eyes to see what he's doing I catch him looking at me. I furrow my brows at him.
"What?" I ask. He motions towards my clothes.
"You're going to wear that to bed?" he asks. I shrug my shoulders.
"I mean, yeah. What else would I wear?" Right after I say that Loki waves his hand and a black and green tank top and shorts appear on my body. I look up at Loki, surprised at his action.
"Uh...thanks," I say, reluctant to praise the god of mischief. I turn on my other side so I'm now facing away from Loki. I can feel his stare on me until I hear him change positions. What was that? Why would he not make me a bed, but then give me pajamas?
I decide not to think anything of it and just fall asleep.
