11:30amThe sun shone through the curtains gleaming on Kassandra's face. She groaned out, her head pounding. Rubbing her eyes, she scanned her surroundings, seeing that she was alone.
Looking to the left, she had seen the stack of money on the counter. Humming to herself, she moved her body towards the counter, feeling aches all over body. A note sat underneath the money when she picked it up, her eyes scanned it.
"Good shit" - Smokes
She read. She frowned to herself, a feeling of disgust coming over her. Kassandra made an attempt to stand up, feeling her legs tremble. She waddled to the mirror, looking at her reflection.Kassandra felt revolting. Every part of her made her feel ill. The things she felt she tolerated made her look at herself more disgusted. She resented herself for everything she's been through.
It was all her fault in her eyes. Even her mother hated her.
Kassandra had no one but her mother. Her mother meant the absolute most to her. But her mother showed her nothing but hatred. Now, she's sick. Her mother lacks the money to pay her hospital bills for treatment.
Losing her mother didn't seem like an option. The fact that that option was open to Kassandra made even more upset. Everything that Kassandra does is for her mother. Everything she does for quick cash is for her mother.
Maybe once she made the money she needs to make, she can pay for her mother's hospital bill. Maybe then she'll love her again....
Milo sat against the wall, looking at the ceiling.
Jahseh laid on his bed doing the same. She looked across at him. His face appeared to be empty, no emotion or feeling. His hands laid delicately on his stomach.
"You okay?" she asked. His eyes darted towards her, a small smile cracked across his face. "Should I be asking you that?"
Milo looked at her fingers before looking up at him.
"I mean all them scratches and cuts on you, you sure I shouldn't ask you?"Jahseh chuckled, sitting up.
"I've been through worse. You strong though."Milo nodded her head. "Thank you, I suppose."
she mumbled. A sigh left her lips, feeling her eyes fill with water. She abruptly wiped her eyes standing up."Jahseh?" she called, voice slightly breaking.
She stepped towards him as he sat up. "Please take me home, please."The pleading look in her eyes made him feel slightly guilty. His fists clenched. "I can't. I'm sorry."
Milo crumbled to her knees, tears streaming down her face. "Jahseh, I'm begging you. Please. I wont go to the police, I'll tell my mama that I went to another city cause I needed to br-""Milo. It's more complex then that. Please. Stop."
He looked at her sternly whilst she returned eyes of desperation. Jahseh stayed to his instructions."Then tell me why the fuck I'm here." She demanded in a stern manner, staring at him with her tears still remaining in her eyes. Jahseh looked at her face feeling nothing but guilt.
Usually doing things like this didn't make him feel anything, but she had an effect that no one else has had. He felt her emotions and it made him feel strange.
He continued to stare at her, remaining quiet. Milo stood up, defeated. She sat by the wall where she sat at earlier.
"You need to eat." he spoke.
She scoffed - "How I know you ain't poison that shit.""I have no intentions of hur-"
"NO INTENTIONS? Me and you just fought."
"No, you fought me. I let you have your way. I let you scratch and slap on me because ion expect yo ass not to."Milo huffed. He wasn't wrong. He slapped her yes, but the way she was behaving was expected, but erratic. What was expected at the end of the day? She was taken against her will.
"So are you hungry or not?" he asked. Milo looked away, too prideful to answer yes to his question. She knew her stomach was starving, but she couldn't suck up or befriend this guy. Her ego wouldn't allow it.
Being deep in her thoughts, she didn't realise that he had grabbed her by her wrists and strung her forward out of the room. The both of them ran downstairs into the kitchen of his cold house.
Scanning the kitchen, her mind became at ease. Seeing an area other than his room made her feel slightly relieved.
She peered outside the window, looking at how nice the weather appeared. "Outside looks so nice." She spoke to herself, walking towards the windowsill.
"Yeah." He mumbled. Her head turned looking at him as he peered into the fridge appearing lost. "The fucking fridge empty as hell. Damn." he spoke.
He turned around, looking at her. "I gotta go to target." he said, rubbing his shoulder. Milo breathed in and out, watching him focus.
"Get in the shower." he demanded. "Shower?" she asked "But ion got no clothes."
Jahseh sighed
"You can wear my clothes. I got some clean ones you could put on. Get out that dress."So much has occurred in such little time Milo had forgotten that she still had the dress she wore at the party. She felt revolted, realising how weird that was. Jahseh walked out the kitchen, Milo followed.
He led her to the bathroom. He handed her soaps and a fresh sponge she could use to scrub herself. Before Milo stepped in the bath, Jahseh came back in with a stack of clothes that he placed by the sink.
"Thank you." She spoke, breathing in and out.
"You good." he spoke, walking out of the bathroom.Once Jahseh had left, Milo stripped out of her dress eyeing herself in the mirror.
"Oh an-" Jahseh stormed in. Milo screamed
"GET OUT! GET THE FU-"
"MY BAD MY BAD FUCK."Jahseh slammed the door, leaving her in the bathroom alone and embarrassed. "Fuck, fuck, fuck." she muttered, palming her forehead.
