The roads were clear. The sky was slightly grey, and the people strolled in the stores and streets.

The adrenaline and fear had died down for Milo, and it seemed the same for Jahseh. They were far away from all the corruption now, Milo felt slightly safer than before.

She clenched her waist, hands wrapped around herself. She looked out the window, and something dawned on her.

She started to realise that she felt some sort of familiarity in these streets. As Jahseh continued to drive, the silence became louder than it had been before. All that was heard was the quiet noise from the radio.

The more he drove, the closer they got to an area that hadn't crossed her mind ever since she had ran away.
It seemed to Milo that she hadn't noticed that she was in Tallahassee due to her sleepiness. Her heart started the thump.

The feeling that she thought left after that chase that they had left behind approached her again. Her heart felt as if it was tearing through her chest. She sat up, and put her hand on her collar bone, eyes still glued on the streets they were driving by.

Milo noticed a tall building - an apartment building.
She noticed that they were in the poorer area of Tallahassee.

"Eli.." she quietly spoke.
Jahseh looked at her in the mirror. "What?"
he softly asked. Milo cleared her throat out of nervousness. "My- my"

"Milo what's going on?" he questioned, looking back at her.

The familiarity of the area was unsettling. She felt warm liquid travelling down her back, Milo began to sweat. She breathed out, eyes still glued on the buildings.

It had been so long since she had experienced this area. It was something that she had never wanted to go back to. She hated this area more than she already did.

The memories that she suppressed ran back to her, and she felt everything that she pushed back return. Everything she didn't want to feel anymore, she began to feel in her feet and fingertips.

Jahseh stopped at the stoplight.
"We stopping by my friend's house for a second. Imma get something from him, ight?" He stared at her in concern. She softly nodded, still looking outside.
