Milo panted as Jahseh blew through the halls. There pushed past all the women that stood in their way, falling sloppily to the ground.

Jahseh gripped Milo's hand tightly, making it his mission to leave this area. The men chased behind them, as some stayed behind checking on Polo. There were no worlds that could possibly describe how Jahseh felt or the feeling behind what he did.

He had just murdered someone, and that someone was someone who was extremely important. But in the moment he didn't sense much, it was as if his body had ran numb. He knew that once they reached the car, there was a lot that they both had to deal with.

The both of them flew down the stairs, loud footsteps heard behind them. Milo's heart thumped fast, faster than anything she had remembered. This moment was occurring in such quick speed, that being able to adjust and digest the situation would be simply impossible.

Once the both of them breathlessly reached the end of the stairs, Milo momentarily peered back. She noticed that no one was behind them anymore. Not wasting anytime, she grabbed Jahseh's hand and lead the rest of the way, running forward noticing the door was close by.

"Milo I'm-" "Shut up and run." she interrupted. She reached for the big black door, pulling it forward Jahseh playing look out. Once the door was open, she hurriedly ran out, Jahseh following behind.

They ran across the empty road towards the car that was parked near by. Milo's throat felt sore, but she felt a sense of relief when she grabbed the car handle whilst Jahseh unlocked the car. They both nervously jumped in the car, Jahseh wasted no time to start driving off.

As they drove, Milo spotted one of the men standing outside the building with a gun in his hand, shooting at the car whilst it moved. All shots missing, Jahseh brought it upon himself to drive away faster. Milo stared at the window in shock.

The both of them seemed to be further away from the building that Milo's father resided in. Her body felt numb, everything hadn't yet set in. She stared into the distance blankly, Jahseh's pants still being heard. Her thought process cancelled out all the nose that surrounded her.

Everything that Milo had been through during this month made her wonder if all of this was actually occurring, she didn't understand nor know how to grasp it all. She wanted to cry, but couldn't.

It wasn't her intentions seeing her father die in front of her, it wasn't something that she wanted to witness. Even though he was an evil human being, watching him die just added to the trauma that she was already being put through.

It was hard for all of this to just settle in. Everything just wasn't making sense. The speed of the situations, the confusions, the betrayal it just wasn't adding up or making sense to her.

The way his body fell, the way Jahseh held her back, the environment. She was sick and tired of how hectic everything was going.

The loud bang ran through Milo's ears.

The two sat in complete silence. Jahseh's grip on the steering wheel was extremely tight, his face appearing angry yet tired. His eyes connected with her's through the front mirror, he sensed her fear and worry but knew that there was nothing that he could do or say to make her feel slightly better.

There's wasn't much that Jahseh wanted to add to the situation, she experienced it with him. In the moment Jahseh felt like the only thing that he could do was shoot Polo. What Milo had said to him before they had entered the building made him realise that he'd hate to betray her.

Thinking about her father making her stay and work there after all that she's been through just angered him. There was no other option Jahseh felt like he had. That was the only thing that he felt like he could do.

When they arrived there, killing Polo didn't even run through Jahseh's mind. He initially was going to do as told, do exactly what he had to do to get paid. But money didn't seem worth it anymore, he had to get rid of Polo.

"Jah." Milo called softly, breaking the silence that sat in the car. Jahseh's heart slightly dropped, still shaken from what just happened. "Why'd you do that-"
"Milo, I don't know I- I felt like I.." he stopped himself, not able to give any explanation for his sudden action.

She ran her fingers through her hair, gripping onto her wrists. She felt this strange pain, around them; she realised they were bruised. Seeing her wrists triggered an emotion, and tears left her eyes.

Jahseh still continued to drive, no emotion displayed. He looked at her through the front mirror, not being able to comment or say anything about the way she felt. There wasn't much he could say, it was pointless in his opinion.

He breathed out as Milo wept.
Nothing made sense.
