The only way I got to sleep after all that, was on my stomach or sides. Wednesday slipped me some herbs for pain and it made it that much easier to fall asleep. At breakfast, I hadn't looked at anybody and I pushed myself to eat. Today was a big day and I wasn't about to let Umbridge ruin my future. Testing for charms would be starting in a bit. Wednesday tapped my shoulder, thankfully remembering my back was sore. "Hey, are you nervous?" I nodded. "Extremely. I kept dreaming of being naked during the practice exam and failing." I ran my fingers threw my hair. "We still have time before the written exam, want to study a bit?" I shook my head. "No, thanks to Umbridge I didn't have time to even shower last night. Maybe a quick shower and then review?" Wednesday's face lit up. "I know, we can review while you shower. It'll help us both." I nodded. "Alright." She elbowed my side gently. "Something else is bugging you." I shrugged. "Besides being whipped by our sadistic headmistress? I've been stressed out from testing and striving to do my best but I have to admit... I've been very..." I looked up at the professor's table to Severus whose eyes lit up when I met his gaze. "Distracted." I looked back at her. "You like someone." Her cheeky smile widened. "Who is it?" I shook my head. "Ok ok, you don't have to tell me who but tell me about him?" I laughed. "So you can guess?" She shook her head so fast. "Alright, I'll answer three questions." She nodded softly, thinking to herself. "Hmm, what house is he in?" I scratched my arm. "Slytherin." Her eyes narrowed. "No, it's not Jackson." She sighed with relief. "Thank God, ok. What's his hair color?" I stiffened a bit. "Black." She looked at the Slytherin table. "What year is he?" I paused, my heart beating faster. "Are you sure that's really the question you want to ask?" She pondered as she paced back and forth in front of me, I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes. "Does he care about you?" I smiled. "Probably more than I'll ever know." She nodded. "Then that's good enough for me. Now let's go get you in the shower so we don't flunk out of school." I sighed. "Don't make me so nervous I puke. It's happened before." She gagged and then laughed at me. I got up from the table and looked back at Severus who was talking to Flitwick, which was a surprise.

We went to the nearest bathroom and I stepped into a shower, pulling the curtain behind me. "I turned on the water and basked in the hot water til it hit my back. The pain dulled and I relaxed. "Do you need a minute to prep?" I sighed to myself, momentarily forgetting she was there. "Yes, please."

"I needed this, Wednesday. Technically I think I need a vacation after all this but I'll settle for a hot shower." I heard a giggle but it wasn't Wednesdays. I looked up and to my right was moaning Myrtle, staring down at me. I instinctively covered myself. "You know, I know what you did for Harry." Wednesday was deadly silent and I wished she would say something. "If you ever need anything, let me know. You know where to find me." She giggled. "Thanks, Myrtle." Chills were going through me, goose bumps spreading all over even though I could see the steam literally coming off of my skin. "She's gone, Ray. Are you ready?" I started washing my hair. "Bring it."

Half an hour later and we were running back to the Great Hall, the long tables were gone and replaced with rows of desks. The ancient-looking witch's and wizards that would be doing the testing were walking with a nervous-looking Umbridge. Finally, someone that puts that bitch on edge. I looked at my wristwatch. Ten minutes. "Wednesday, save my seat. I'll be back!" Wednesday turned around abruptly. "Where are you going?? Are you seriously risking this right now??" I nodded. "He's worth it." I took off running, all the way to the potions classroom, and didn't even bother knocking. I burst through the door and closed it behind me, Snape stood up from his stack of papers. "What are you doing? I thought I told you not to worry about me." I shook my head as I came closer to him, standing right in front of him. "I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about us." I kissed him hard and then backed away. "I'm sorry." Not waiting for a reply, I took off running again and was out of breath by the time I reached my seat. "Cutting it close, girl!" Wednesday harshly whispered. I nodded as I breathed normally again. "I wish you all luck. You may begin." McGonagall the hourglass flipped and I began reading the questions.
