I sat on the steps in the hall as everyone ran around trying to get ready for the battle to come. What could I do now? I decided to follow McGonagall outside with some of the others. ''Let me get this straight Professor, you're actually giving us permission to blow it up?'' McGonagall nodded.'' That is correct.'' Neville looked surprised. ''Boom?'' She nodded once more as she trodded on. ''Boom!'' Neville continued. ''Wicked but how on Earth are we gonna do that?'' McGonagall continued down the steps. ''Why don't you confer with Mr. Finnigan? As I recall, he has a particular proclivity for pyrotechnics.'' Seamus smiled wickedly. ''I can bring it down.'' McGonagall waved them off. ''That's the spirit. Now away you go.'' As Neville and the others ran off to the bridge I decided to stay with Molly and the professors. Professor Flitwick looked to Minerva. ''You do, of course, realize we can't keep You-Know-Who out indefinitely?'' Minerva nodded. ''Well, that doesn't mean we can't delay him. And his name is Voldemort, Fillius. You might as well use it. He's going to try to kill you either way.'' She turned around abruptly. ''Piertotum Locomotor.'' The statues of Hogwarts started to come to life and hopped down one by one. ''Hogwarts is threatened. Man the boundaries. Protect us. Do your duty to our school.'' As they marched by to follow orders, she smiled. ''I've always wanted to use that spell.'' Molly gave her a funny look. Everyone started to cast Protego so I joined in. ''Protego maxima. Fianto Duri. Repello inimicum.'' I chanted along with the other professors as our wands shot at the sky above Hogwarts. A great barrier covered the school and most of its grounds. You could just make out the horde Voldemort had assembled above the hill overlooking the school. My heart hurt as I knew Severus was there. How could I find him? How could I get to him? I needed to protect him.

The death eaters started to shoot spells at the barrier. The barrier thundered as it held up from their attack. I could vaguely hear a yell as a single spell hit the barrier and it shattered, my heart hammered in my chest as the amount of energy and power that would take. The explosions from the bridge sounded not long after. I held my wand tightly as a giant roared running toward the bridge where Professor Flitwick stood, vines started to cover it. Another giant came and started to hit the army of stone statues that covered the stone bridge. Death eathers flew above shooting spells at them. Professor Flitwick ran back between the rows of statues, I started running toward him shooting spells at the giants. ''Get inside! This way, everyone. Take cover!'' I helped the Professor get back safely, running back to Professor McGonagall. It wasn't any safer inside as the death eaters invaded. My home was being destroyed left and right. Tears slipped down my cheeks as explosions went off all around me. ''Expecto Patronum!'' I cried in a yell, shooting the spell up in the sky to chase off the dementors and anything else dark up there.

A spell barely missed me as a death eater prowled in front of me. ''Stupify!'' I shot at the man who went flying back. Minerva shot a spell at some other creature and I let out a wail as I saw Wednesday, dead on the ground. Crushed by a giant. Furious in grief I pointed my wand at the giant. ''Bombarda!'' I shouted and hit the giant point blank. It stumbled. ''Confrigo! Sectumsempra!'' The giant after it stumbled again, fell as its body was covered in deep slashes and started to massively lose blood. ''Sectumsempra!'' I lashed at it again and again until it was dead, a bloody mess on the ground that was once a giant. I took off running toward the only place I could think of that was still safe. The shrieking shack. I took out multiple death eaters as I ran for the whomping willow. The tree was preoccupied with hitting death eaters to care about me. I dove into the passageway, slinking into its depths. Making my way for the shack slowly, my wand at the ready.

As I got to the door I started to hear voices. ''You have performed extraordinary magic with this wand, my lord. In the last few hours alone.'' It was Severus! My heart hammered as I wanted to go in but it sounded like Voldemort was inside as well. ''No. No, I am extraordinary but the wand resists me.'' That's when I noticed the golden trio behind me, sneaking in. They exchanged strange looks as they saw me and I put my finger to my lips. We entered through the basement, as the voices spoke from up the stairs. ''There is no wand more powerful. Ollivander himself has said it. Tonight, when the boy comes it will not fail you, I am sure of it. It answers to you and you alone. It answers to you and you only.'' There was a short pause. ''Does it?'' I watched as the trio looked up the basement stairs to the first floor. ''My lord?'' I buried my nails into my skin, my stomach suddenly in knots. Something bad is going to happen, that's what my body was telling me. ''The wand, does it truly answer to me? You're a clever man Severus. Surely you must know. Where does its true loyalty lie?'' Please be okay Sev. I closed my eyes trying to pray for him to be. ''With you. Of course, my lord.'' Oh god. The knots tightened in my stomach, I felt like I might hurl. ''The elder wand...Cannot serve me properly because I am not its true master. The elder wand belongs to the wizard who killed its last owner. You killed Dumbledore Severus. While you live the elder wand cannot truly be mine. You've been a good and faithful servant, Severus. But only I can live forever.'' A single tear fell as I put my hand over my mouth. ''My lor-'' Sev's voice was cut short and a thud came not long after. ''Nagini kill.'' The snakes hissing could be heard before it attacked my husband, over and over again. I wanted nothing more than to storm up there but as I tried Hermione held me back, tears streaming down my face as Ron covered my mouth. The snake repeatedly struck him. The dark dork left and I finally managed to get past them, running straight for Severus who was weekly on the ground. The other three pounded up the stairs after me, Harry held the gash on his neck putting pressure on the wound.
